I’m still generally more sympathetic to the angle of someone doing what they have to do to get by, and less sympathetic to riches built on that kind of exploitation or exploitation from people already rich. 12	It always never got to me why some men hate feminists- they also benefit men too. I really think the conversation gets derailed by using the word ‘feminism’ like it’s a coherent monolith. People already split it up historically into waves, and there’s a ton of different modern movements/groups which are called ‘feminist’ despite having incompatible core beliefs. There’s a lot of valid criticism of specific feminist talking points and beliefs, and it frustrates me as much anyone here that it’s often so dogmatic in leftist spaces. But in the US, as long as Congress is like 70+% men, feminism isn’t going to go away. There are situations where it’s a correct and valid perspective. I don’t think it’s wrong to acknowledge that yes, men have the physical capacity to inflict more serious direct harm in most cases, and I don’t think any rebuttal trying to deny that will be successful. But that doesn’t means serious harm can’t occur to men, and I think a productive conversation might be asking if their goal is drawing a distinction between men and women, or between ‘relatively harmless’ (bleh) and ‘serious pain … death’.
