As someone currently living in San Diego, I've seen hotter girls while I do my grocery shopping than my 4 years at Arizona State.

I can't remember the last time I read an article like this that properly backed up it's own thesis statement. I know HuffPo is the journalism equivalent to kindergarten, but these people get paid for this?

To be fair... It's Columbia. They're a special case among the Ivies. I went to UPenn, students did not create attention-whoring situations like this... We had plenty of work to do.

You just have to wait for them to go on their Study Abroad trips. Usually the occasion for them to sample the multi-cultural menu.

Don't worry, here's the counter argument. There's no difference between self-control and rape right? I mean, all that's holding any man back is just his self-control, like a dog.

Hmm... I'm not so sure. Having experience in corporate settings myself, property development and now design, most of my coworkers are white men. However, they're nearly all married, some with children. If this isn't "straight white male" territory, I don't know what is.

It seems like she's making full use of her art degree and women's studies minor.

This is some real circlejerking here. You're equating asking someone what the world is like in 2030 as a "philosophical discussion"? Some of the best philosophical discussions I've had have actually been with women. (Whoa!) Just don't rely on the bookworms to provide deep conversation, they only focus on memorization and equating grades with intelligence (something women do well at).

This isn't my first post to this sub, but thats a pretty interesting observation.

Exactly my thoughts. Promoting this kind of thing can only take this sub backwards.

Can we start a different sub for this kind of stuff? The oversimplification of others' relationship drama is draining and takes away from the purpose of TRP.

Can someone explain to me what "truth" OP is claiming he showed her? In reality she has her own "truth" which is her seeking to settle down and start a family, which OP is obviously not down with. Clearly she has already hit the wall per se and the result is her creating a filter by which to get "beta-providers". If anything this field report shows success on both sides because it's obvious both people had very different goals and were able to cancel each other out through amicable conversation.

The real lesson: don't travel abroad with a girlfriend. When you are abroad you are practically swimming in an entirely different and fantastic menu of women, what the hell was this guy thinking.

any country that has a strong feminist influence is the wrong place to meet women. Yes. Having lived 3 months in China I can attest to this. While the game is relatively the same... gaining her attention, etc.. there is no layer of feminist bs to fight through. There is also no confusion with gender roles. While there are a few shit-tests, they were quite minimal. I was able to even game without knowing the language (thank you google translate). Unfortunately I'm back in my pseudo-college town f…

As a 25 YO in grad school who has refused any notion of settling down until his late 30s... this is the exact thing I was looking for. Fantastic.

So your style of approach is to basically form an awkward silent agreement via eye contact, then stand near them until they begin to talk?

It'd be interesting to get an AMA from her (I assume) blue-as-hell-pill husband.

Whats strange is that my experience in HK and China was actually the complete opposite; I had never met women who were more submissive or who were more than willing to do favors (cook dinner, give tours of the city, etc). From what I could tell though most Chinese men were definitely blue pill: shy, not willing to initiate conversation, being told to do things... so my experienced may have been biased in me representing something "new".

I couldn't agree more with this post. The "American Princess Mindset" is beyond incredibly delusional. I just came back to the States from 3 months in South China / Korea and can tell you for a fact: its much better out there. Its incredible when you meet women who want to and insist on treating you well. Unfortunately its been hard to adapt since my return.

we recently realized we're capable of giving more love to the universe and opened our relationship. This may be the root of your problem. I had a similar situation with an ex who wanted to keep an open relationship and see other people, which for myself and who I am, does not work. It makes me feel undervalued and that I am not fulfilling of a partner (seriously who has time for 2 relationships?). Anyway man, I say step 1: stand up for yourself and break it off and move out. This will give you c…
