For anyone reading: Arguing with people like this is like wrestling a pig: you both get muddy, but the pig likes it.

I know this feels hard, but helping someone else doesn’t mean we’re saying you’re bad or less important. It just means they didn’t get enough help before, so we’re making sure they get a little more now. You’re still important too. Everyone matters, and we just want things to feel fair for everyone.

No. It’s not normal. But here we are and it’s super common for people to have a hard time crying and being vulnerable. In a perfect world.. it wouldn’t be so rough. But go read the rest of the replies from the men here and tell me you think they have a healthy relationship with their ability to cry and open up.

No I’m just not anyone’s therapist so I’m not gonna do the leg work on a stupid question. Obviously there’s a correct way to express emotions and show vulnerability. DUH. But I’m not gonna explain it for free. Google it and come back to the conversation.

Depends on the person. I don’t care for oral so it wouldn’t help anything at all.

It depends on what kind of struggle you mean. Statistically, women face more risk of things like sexual violence, intimate partner violence, workplace harassment, and reproductive health challenges. Men, on the other hand, show higher rates of workplace deaths, addiction, suicide, and homelessness. But privilege isn’t just about suffering.. it’s about which group the system was originally built to serve. Even when many men struggle, they’re still in a system historically designed by men for men’…

You’re misunderstanding privilege. It’s not about individual outcomes or saying men have easier lives overall. It’s about structural advantages.. who the system was built for, whose needs and voices were centered. That’s why we say whiteness is privileged even if poor white people struggle, and maleness is privileged even if many men suffer. It’s about how the system defaults, not personal guarantees of success. You keep talking about who has it better.. but privilege isn’t a scoreboard of who’s…

You’re oversimplifying it. Systemic privilege doesn’t mean all men succeed or that all women fail.. it means the structure historically gave men more access, power, and protection, even if individuals within that group still struggle. When more men fail, it’s not because they’re inherently worse or the system is suddenly anti male.. it’s often because the same system that privileged men in power also ignored or discarded vulnerable men. Inequality at the top doesn’t magically make all men privil…

You jumping straight to insults and calling people bigoted garbage tells me you’re no longer interested in having a rational discussion. No one here said men never struggle or that individual women don’t face hardship.. systemic privilege means the structure was built in a way that benefits one group overall, even if not every individual reaps the same outcome. That’s why we talk about systems, not just individuals. If you can’t engage without spiraling into personal attacks, maybe you’re not re…

I get what you’re trying to say, but privilege isn’t about whether a group has an “easy” life. It’s about which group the system is historically designed to accommodate and protect. Just like whiteness comes with systemic advantages even when a white person’s life is hard, maleness comes with systemic advantages even when an individual man struggles. Saying men have privilege doesn’t mean they have no hardships.. it means the system, by default, has been shaped in ways that often favor men. That…

See now I know you’re just making this up
/r/PurplePillDebate27/05/25 10:41 PM
2

Exactly.. you’re basically agreeing with me. Average sex differences don’t define individual ability or overall usefulness. Women are just as capable of solving complex, coordination heavy, or strength requiring problems.. they just might approach them differently. That’s why saying “women couldn’t survive or build or hunt without men” is nonsense.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/05/25 09:26 PM
3

Did you even read what I said?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/05/25 09:13 PM
4

Actually, research shows women aren’t less adept.. they may just approach tasks differently. Studies on motor coordination (like this) found that while men may show slightly more precision at first, women are better at error correction and adaptive learning, meaning they reach the same (or better) levels of performance over time. So no, biology doesn’t make women less capable at machine or coordination heavy tasks.. it just means they may take a different route to mastery.

They’re perverts. And they’ve been given legal terminology to hide behind to try and justify their perversion. “But it’s legal” is an exhausted argument. Legality does not equate morality. 18 is considered an adult so they can start learning to navigate the adult world once they graduate. Not so grown men can exploit them. I’m hard pressed to believe this nuance is genuinely lost on them.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/05/25 08:16 PM

No. You’re splitting hairs. When I think of children.. I think of all of them. As we should. Teenagers are children. Full stop. I will not continue to argue this topic.

I need these men to genuinely look me in the face and tell me that women can’t hunt ave never could in all of history. The whole “men were hunters and women were gatherers” thing isn’t even historically accurate.

We have tools and aids for these things. I’d needed, we would invent more. Women are not incapable.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/05/25 07:58 PM
1

You’ve got that backwards. Expanding the conversation to include 18–20 year olds doesn’t weaken protections for younger kids.. it strengthens the bigger picture of how exploitation works. Groomers and predators don’t stop wanting control just because someone turns 18. Recognizing that just legal teens are still vulnerable helps close off one of the oldest grooming loopholes.. “Well, they’re legal now, so it’s fine.” If we really care about protecting young people, we need to acknowledge that mat…

You can’t have this debate with the people here. They really, really like advocating for imaginary men having the right to defile teenagers. But you’re right. They’ll threaten to shoot her peer at prom if he touches her and think “yeah these boys only have one thing in mind”.. while encouraging older men to groom them. I don’t get it. It’s such a bad look and we shouldn’t even have to talk about it. But notice how this guy keeps saying “23” as if the post doesn’t say 23 is about as old as should…

This is basically my argument. I’ll still side eye Leo cuz he’s still weird to me, but at least the women he pursues have some life experience under their belt.. and can have a beer. I’ll hold my tongue once the younger has at least some understanding of who they are and how the world around them functions.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/05/25 07:32 PM
1

No one’s saying 18 year olds are toddlers. But they’re still basically brand new to adulthood.. they’re just out of high school, they’ve barely touched real independence, they’re still figuring out who they are. Sure, they’re “legal,” but that doesn’t mean it’s ethical for older adults to pursue them. Why? Because the life experience gap gives the older person a natural power advantage. That’s why it’s gross. Eighteen year olds should be gaining experience alongside their peers, not dating peopl…

Say it with me. Eight. Teen. Teenagers are children. They can’t drink. Buy smokes. Or get into a bar. Because we don’t trust them to make those choices for themselves. They sure as shit shouldn’t be allowed to join the military and they definitely don’t need to be fucked by adults. I’m not arguing with anyone about why we shouldn’t be fucking teenagers. Deuces.

Some of the worst sex I’ve had has been with dudes who have high body counts. The best sex comes from autistic men, believe it or not. Not sure what that’s about.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/05/25 11:14 AM

Nah. Have a preference. It’s the whole “women with high body counts can’t pair bond and aren’t worth a relationship” thing that gets yall lectured. No one cares that you wanna fuck virgins. I think a key issue here is that you assume I actually remember sex with other people that well. It’s bit really comparable. I can remember a vague impression, but for the most part I’m not thinking about it. Good is good. Bad is bad. If I like you, you’re better by default. I’ve found that men think about the men I’ve slept with more than I do.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/05/25 10:58 AM
1

I don’t know how to tell you this.. but sex is the same exact thing no matter who it’s with. Some people vary a little, but for the most part.. it’s all the same. It’s the people involved that make the difference. You can’t get used to meeting and fucking new people. It’s always a completely new experience because of the partner, the dance stays the same. So partner 11 can and will do stuff different. One guy 10000 times won’t. There’s only so many ways to skin a cat. At the end of the day, enjo…

As a promiscuous women.. fully agree with you here. It’s just as exciting every time. But there’s something to be said for a good continuous partner you really click with. I guess it depends on what you value/enjoy most about sex. First times are fun, but I love me an ole reliable. I really get the vibe this guy doesn’t have enough experience to be able to even have his theories

/r/PurplePillDebate27/05/25 09:11 AM

lol. Google it, chief. Being vulnerable isn’t easy. It’s hard to let down all your safety measures and let someone have the ability to destroy you. It takes strength. Only a weak person relies on walls and refuses to ever grow or let anyone in. Just cuz it’s the easier option doesn’t make it then better one.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/05/25 08:39 AM

Have you never cried? It’s hard to do. Especially with people around. You have to be strong to be that vulnerable.

I’d say like 99% of situations should be met with deescalation. But every now and then.. someone just needs to be punched in the face. Is this not a common take? I thought we all accepted that we rarely have to revert to animal kingdom rules while still not being confrontational, aggressive jagoffs the rest of the time? Idk. Maybe that’s just me
/r/PurplePillDebate27/05/25 06:12 AM

/r/PurplePillDebate27/05/25 04:29 AM

Like the other commenter said. You’re failing to see the nuance. Even in my example, it’s not the aggression itself that’s attractive. It’s the conviction with which my friend wanted to protect the woman he saw get punched in the face. You’re purposely avoiding the truth of the situation in favor of your point.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/05/25 03:55 AM

a sexually attractive woman is approachable. A sexually attractive man is not necessarily approachable. Care to elaborate? Cuz what?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/05/25 03:53 AM

Now THIS.. is a take I’d like to see talked about. Because wow. I had to sit back and blink slowly to process this. It fits right along side why they put fish and cars into their dating profiles.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/05/25 03:52 AM

Ohhhh. Is that what it is? That makes sense. Cuz idk why I’m explaining that protective in an extreme situation is good while being a confrontational, aggressive psycho is bad lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/05/25 03:10 AM
8

There’s a difference between protecting people who can’t protect themselves and just being aggressive. Don’t be intentionally dense. Demons run when a good man goes to war and all that
/r/PurplePillDebate27/05/25 03:05 AM
16

I don’t want a man who deals with anything (outside someone literally being violently assaulted) aggressively. I value calm far more. If we’re out and some guy disrespects me, I’d be WAY more turned on by a man handling that with a calm “hey man, you should go have a good night somewhere else.” Than by being aggressive. Aggression is not a good trait and will always end up turned towards you at some point. I’ll pass.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/05/25 02:59 AM
14

No. Because that wasn’t being confrontational. He was correcting bad behavior. That doesn’t happen often. ALL people should respond to witnessing someone being aggressively assaulted that way. But if a stranger smacked my ass or something and the guy I was with started a fight? I’d leave his ass there.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/05/25 02:48 AM
25

Who in their right mind is attracted to confrontational men? Jesus. Please stop this. The only time I’ve seen anything attractive about a confrontational man was once.. when I watched a man punch a woman in the face, and a friend of mine FLEW across the bar and beat the brakes off the offender. That’s the acception. Genuinely nothing more embarrassing than a man you can’t take anywhere cuz he gets in fights.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/05/25 02:40 AM

Better works because obviously that was satire.. there’s no way people think like that and actually live among us
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/25 10:44 PM

I spent the whole time reading that comment looking like this
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/25 10:36 PM

Because they… don’t sexualize people in their daily lives? No.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/25 10:35 PM
1

Gonna be honest. I don’t remember what brought me to that conclusion. Cuz I don’t see it now.. maybe I got conversations confused. My bad. I think the point here is that men have privilege by default. The system attempting to correct itself from that is what makes it seem like women have privileges. But we’re just being brought to the same level. Which is why it seems like we’re getting special treatment and men are being left behind. No one’s leaving men behind. Women are just catching up.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/25 10:34 PM

It sounds awful No, friend. Thank you. I walk through life hoping everyone I run into is like you.

There’s no instinctual disgust. But you can very much “do it wrong”. An emotional outburst is not “being vulnerable” and crying only turns into “like a bitch” when you refuse to actually fix the root issue.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/25 06:51 PM

The replies to this are so exhausting. Of course we want our men to be capable of being vulnerable. Capable of cry. Sobbing even. What we don’t want is to have to now carry that because ole boy thinks that’s enough. Wrong. You have to also accept and grow. Change. Fix what’s wrong. Go to the therapy. You don’t get to say “I think I behave this way because my hamster died when I was 10” and then never deal with it so you just keep acting whatever way is the issue. You can cry because work is so s…

Crying because you’re scared of a great beast is completely different than crying cuz you opened up to me about something. Neither are off putting. You can cry while you kill the beast. I’ll even help you. I’m only put off if killing the beast suddenly becomes my sole responsibility. It’s not my beast to kill. I shouldn’t have to bear that alone. More likely to judge sex workers This isn’t my experience at all. While plenty of conservative Karens exist.. men are usually worse about it. More likely to avoid bisexual men Also not my experience. I think you’re oversimplifying what systemic privilege means. It doesn’t mean “every man has a good life” or “no woman ever suffers.” It means that, on average, men benefit from systems and structures historically designed around their inclusion, authority, and advancement.. even if many individual men fall through the cracks. Women face systemic barriers even when their individual lives are okay. As for scholarships, they exist to correct long standing underrepresentation, just like any form of…
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/25 08:00 PM
1

Men are systemically privileged. But it’s a case by case basis. Just because men are over represented in high positions of power doesn’t mean individuals benefit from that.. individually. Also there actually aren’t scholarships that exist just because you’re a woman. The scholarships you’re probably thinking of are for women entering fields where they’ve been historically underrepresented, like STEM, or for first gen women or minority women. It’s not about “female privilege”.. it’s about correct…
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/25 12:08 AM

But female privilege isn’t that men are nicer to women cuz they want something. That’s not a privilege. So what is female privilege to you?

Thank you, random citizen. But yeah I agree.. there’s a hole in this logic. Degrees are too useless for this to be a metric of measuring value.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/25 10:35 PM
2

Sure. But if men must want a woman with a degree in order to not be worthless.. kinda means having a woman without one (me) brings down their value. So the only men I can be with are the worthless losers who don’t mind my lack of a degree devaluing them.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/25 10:33 PM

I think it’s weird to date someone you don’t find physically attractive. I know personality can amplify physical attractiveness.. that’s dandy.. but it has to start somewhere. You can start out cute and then end up sexy because of your personality. You’re not gonna start out unattractive “not my type” and end up sexy. Just won’t happen. If you’re ok with someone telling you they don’t like looking at you as much as they like looking at other people.. that’s all you. Imma pass on that tho.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/25 10:20 PM

As a woman without a degree.. not sure where I fit into your position here. I deserve to be alone or only with worthless losers? I guess cuz I am worthless. Learn something new everyday.

I’m going to agree with you. Rape may traumatize you all at once.. but sleeping with someone you don’t really want to? That feels the same, in my experience, over time. Obviously not “I’ve been raped” but it leaves you with the same gross, awful, hollow feeling.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/25 10:07 PM

You just restated my point and then called it stupid. That’s not a rebuttal. That’s just you not liking that it makes sense. Biological resilience isn’t just about immune systems or lifespans.. it affects energy regulation, stress tolerance, and behavior under pressure. All things that influence academic success in structured environments. You don’t have to like the theory, but at least try to understand it.

Well in that case.. I still say there’s no friendzone. Friendzone is just base existence. It’s the man (in this scenario) who’s made it different by romancezoning someone. So there. Friendzone debunked.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/25 10:46 PM

So the man put her in a romanticzone and couldn’t let it go after he found out she wasn’t interested so instead of recognizing that he’s the one who made it weird.. he insists there’s some awful friendzone she put him in?

There’s nothing inherently romantic about spending time with your friends? And of course it’s reciprocal. Women are actually known for being good at that.

Friends.. are supposed to give you time and attention.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/25 09:19 PM

I don’t agree. I think some people are just friends. The friendzone implies there’s some chance this guy had to be with her and she intentionally denied him. But really she’s just not interested. There wasn’t a chance. If there had been.. he’d be an ex or a failed talking stage.

We don’t need a sci-fi question. Women survive in survival situations better than men. Commonly occurring ones. It’s documented. But yes. We are stuck with each other. Might as well be friends.

I actually really appreciate your reply. You’re right.. it is a delicate balance. I don’t think biology explains everything, and I agree that leaning too hard on it can make people feel boxed in or defeated before they try. My point was never “boys just can’t do it.” It’s that girls may have certain baseline advantages in the current academic structure that are worth acknowledging so we can better understand the gap. No.. I didn’t “bring up” strength and leadership the way you’re trying to frame it. I questioned why boys, who are often claimed to be smarter, stronger, and more fit to lead, are dropping out and falling behind academically. That’s not the same as saying those traits cause success. It’s pointing out the contradiction. I never said girls are physically stronger. I said girls tend to be biologically more resilient.. developmentally, neurologically, and emotionally. The point was that our inherent ability to survive situations makes us better at sitting in school. On accident. A side effect of biology. And yes. Women survive. It’s more important to the species that we do. Kinda doesn’t matter anymore, but it definitely used to.

And thats what the argument is about. Women do better in a lot of situations. Particularly survival situations which I’ve always found amusing but it makes sense. We can create life. Evolutionarily? We should be better at surviving. I think people forget we’re animals. That said. We were never meant to sit in classrooms. Women might be better at it but it’s only cuz we happen to excel in things that help but also have better uses outside the classroom. And just to avoid this.. Do I kinda think w…

You wrote all that just to prove you skim abstracts and still missed the point. I never said women are always healthier, smarter, or superior in every single way. I said women tend to be more biologically resilient. We handle stress better, we live longer, we survive infancy at higher rates, we bounce back from illness faster. That’s not a fairy tale. That’s observable. You’re the one cherry picking complexity just to flatten it into “actually men are better.” And you’re wrong about testosterone…

This feels a bit like rambling. Do you have a point? Statistically, most relationships only have a couple years between them. And this post is about older men by 20 years too. Also… young men are stupid. So are young women. It’s a canon event. Your brain isn’t fully formed for a bit after you graduate high school. And young people know nothing. They think they do. But they don’t have the experience. It’s part of it. No one thinks less of youth for being young lol.

Thanks for walking the nazi thing back. I wasn’t trying to start a supremacy debate. I literally said it’s not about value. It’s biology. Actually there are multiple studies that show clear differences in how men and women experience and tolerate pain. A 2022 study published in the Journal of Pain found that women have more consistent pain tolerance over time than men, even when accounting for hormonal fluctuations. That completely shuts down the idea that women are too “inconsistent” to measure accurately. Another study from the University of Arizona found biological differences in how pain is produced in men and women at the ner…

Actually, there kinda is. Pain tolerance’s been studied pretty extensively. Women consistently report higher pain thresholds in clinical settings and are more likely to endure long term or chronic pain without intervention. You know… like labor, endometriosis, migraines, autoimmune stuff. For years medicine underestimated women’s pain tolerance because we were socialized to downplay it, but turns out that makes us better at handling it, not worse.

The OP was about how boys are falling behind in school. I said women are biologically better built, and that maybe that’s part of why we’re outperforming them. You came in swinging with an SAT stat like that somehow disproves what I said, immediately tried to guess how I’d respond, and then accused me of reinventing nazism. Wild how you came in guns blazing with an SAT math stat like I care, then immediately tried to guess what I’d say next.. as if anticipating a counterpoint somehow wins the argument. Females are more likely to survive extreme old age. Females have more stable physiology under stress. Female brains age more slowly. Greater pain tolerance…

It’s neither. Because I’d say the same thing to my daughter. I’m not going to baby my adult children. This is what life is. If you aren’t getting what you want out of it you have to grow or you’ll die on the vine. It’s no one’s responsibility but yours. I can have all the empathy in the world for people who can’t get partners. Holding your hand and crying with you won’t help. You’re not gonna find a “oh you poor baby” here. Pick yourself up and keep walking or get left behind. We all have to. Th…

Absolutely. And they end up alone because they haven’t/can’t experience what comes after that initial interest so they can’t fake it. Which is both hilarious and sad. I’m biased tho. My dad’s a narcissist. I’m not convinced they’re actually humans.

I just had this conversation with someone else. The journey should be pleasant. Stop worrying about the goal. Make the journey as pleasant as you possibly can. Listen to her. Her breathing. Her sounds. Pay attention to how she moves. Last longer than 5 minutes. Use fingers. Your mouth. But do it cuz it’s fun.. not to get to the finish line. You’ll figure it out. And she’ll call you back. People are too obsessed with orgasms. Ruins sex.

Imma be honest.. most of the guys I match with are just fucking boring. Has very little to do with how they look or their bio. We message and it’s just so bland and dry. So I stop. That or it’s IMMEDIATELY sexual. Gross. Boring. I’m still sleeping with the last guy I met on tinder. He was immediately hilarious and making me smile. Replied quickly. Slipped so easily into banter. Loved it. Met him the next day. But guess what? He was no better or worse looking than anyone else I matched with. Mayb…

I’m gonna argue that it’s because they learned how to fake what chemistry looks like initially. They can’t maintain it, but they are really good at mimicking human like behavior.

I’m not trying to get a one up on anyone. For the record, I don’t think you’re automatically not a dweeb cuz you can “pump and dump”. Go make a post about your situation and I’ll form an opinion of that one too.

Why do you guys always try to flip the script as a “gotcha”. I’d say the same thing to my daughter. You have to do the work. If you don’t have an idea of where to start……. Google it.

Honestly. Approach or don’t. No one is genuinely put off by someone being polite. The issue is when men are creepy about it or can’t take a no. That said. It falls on the person doing the approaching to know when it’s appropriate and when it’s not. If I’m at the store, I’m almost definitely not looking for company of any kind. That’s just critical thinking. If I turned the corner and you had a slow motion moment where god told you I’m your wife.. that’s cool. But I’m under no obligation to ackno…

If they’re desperate to get married.. that’s the advice they get.

“Telling men what they need to hear” such as “I don’t care that you can’t get laid” and “hit the gym and develop a personality”? That’s not me rubbing anything in.

I’m not punching down. Saying “I don’t care that you can’t get laid” isn’t punching down. It’s not even mean. Telling you to hit the gym and learn a skill and develop a personality isn’t me punching down. You’re not oppressed cuz you can’t pull. Come on.

Not at all. No part of watching a toddler pitch a fit is sadistic. It’s just intriguing.

Hey! I commented on that one too lmao. This sub is so wild sometimes. If they aren’t complaining about not getting laid.. they’re complaining about making women squirt too much. Lord almighty.

If I had a son and he couldn’t get/keep a relationship, I’d tell him the same shit I tell yall.. “work on yourself”.. I wouldnt want some woman to sacrifice her life and happiness for my son who isn’t up to snuff lol. That’s dumb.

“Care” is a strong word. But I don’t mind adding my voice to the constant chorus of women telling men exactly what they need to hear.. so I can watch them deny reality kicking and screaming.

Again. I just don’t think a handful of dweebs not being able to get laid is an “issue”. Not to anyone but them. I don’t see that as a sex or gender issue. It’s not a wide spread, systemic issue.

I mean.. no. The purpose of this sub is not to talk about why losers can’t get laid and think it’s everyone else’s problem. It’s just become that. We’re supposed to discuss actual issues.. and we do sometimes. So I stick around.

Cuz that’s how working works lmao. The point is that I have a life and stuff to do. I can’t waste time wringing my hands over men’s inability to convince women they’re worth the trouble. Just like you don’t care about my bills.

There’s no mask here. Do you genuinely care that I’m gonna have to ask for an extension on my credit card bill so I can eat this week? No. You don’t.

Genuinely. Like. I have bills. I do not care about some guy getting his dick wet. At all.
