Yeah I think a lot of people wouldn't actually care about height if it weren't for wee man syndrome.

I think that an apology should be done with a genuine conversation and without a grand display for everyone to see. You could argue that it takes courage and humility to do that but he hasn't actually admitted to what he's done so everyone who sees that sign will just think he's sweet and romantic.

I was banned from a feminist sub too and when I asked why they just said “you violated our rules” I asked which one and I got blocked. There was nothing bad about my comment at all I was agreeing with everyone else there so I think it’s because I’m in this group

This is so strange seeing so many other people talking about this. My father was abusive towards me and he used to pretend the lock didn’t work because he knew I had a fear of being trapped in places so I’d never lock it and he’d barge in. I had a sign up that you flip over to show whether or not someone’s using it so he knew I was in there but he still did it. I realised that the lock actually did work so I started locking it and he went nuts. He would scream and pound the door. A few times he …

I do think it’s good so I can remind myself of who’s potentially out there and sometimes people are able to talk about experiences they had but I agree, I wish there was more inspiration

When I was 17 i had a male friend who used to do this to me. He would send me disgusting porn videos saying it was a joke and then he ended up sexually assaulting me in a really similar way to the content he watched. It’s not always possible to know when a man is going to do something bad but if he does anything that creeps you out just leave, he’s not worth your safety. This kind of shit just escalates

I hate it, I’ve seen videos posted like a family dancing at their wedding and someone always feels the need to point to it how he’s not attracted to anyone there

Lmao I read about that and it turns out that’s how vibrators were invented and they had no clue women used them for pleasure.

I remember when I was like 10 people kept asking me if I had a boyfriend. I said “no because I want one who’s nice and has stuff in common with me and won’t force me to cook and clean for him” they all scoffed and said I have really high standards 🙄

I’m scared of that too. I’m some places that’s already allowed and somewhere in America men are allowed to continue sex if a woman wants to stop at one point. I don’t want to grow up in a world where this can easily be my reality

That’s ridiculous. I’m perfectly happy to pay for myself if I go out with someone but I’m not splitting the bill, he clearly did that so he didn’t have to pay for all his food

Fuck kinks. When people think crap like this is acceptable I really don’t care if I’m kinkshaming, I’ll never act like a man masturbating to pictures of injuries is ok. It’s disgusting.

I’m sorry you had some bad experiences, I hope you can find a partner who’s right for you. This is why people shouldn’t put pressure on aro aces to date, its not good for them or for the other person. I’m ace as well and used to think I needed to put myself into relationships, luckily I found out before I did anything too bad

There was an AITA post the other day where a scrote let his girlfriend (who made way less than him) starve on an expensive holiday. Someone in the comments said "you can't expect financial contributions to be 50/50 if your income is not even close to 50/50"

I don’t understand why they feel the need to do that. The amount of guys I’ve met who just fart in front of people with no reaction. Its childish when they think it’s funny but what I cannot stand is when they don’t say sorry or anything and just continue with what they were doing like an animal. One of my relatives used to fart literally every 5 minutes anywhere we went, it was worse in the car. I was abused by my father a kid. I heard this theory when I was about 12 and was so disgusted at the idea that I would be attracted to my father. It made me feel ashamed to come forward about his perverted behaviour because I thought it was my fault, that I was attracted to him and seduced him without me knowing. It’s downright disgusting and I don’t understand why phycology schools teach this crap

I'm sick of it, anywhere else I'd be torn apart by libfems for saying that little girls shouldn't be doing things like this. They'd have no problem with creeps and say that I'M the creepy one for "sexualising" them.

It’s sad she felt she had to ask. You should never consider even being near a person like that. I found a bunch of scrotes in the comment section saying “he’s only 21 he doesn’t know any better. Did you think everything through at that age? Just because he hopes his girlfriend gets raped doesn’t mean he would rape someone” um yes he probably would given the opportunity, he thinks it’s totally fine for someone to be violated to “teach them a lesson” and if he’s not a rapist he’s a rape apologist.…

If a woman feels uncomfortable with a man in the room she has every right to have privacy from him. It's absolutely ridiculous that people are offended by this. Another thing, why do some men feel the need to WATCH? Not sitting by her side, holding her hand and comforting her. I mean standing opposite her staring at her vagina? My father did this when I was born and I've heard of it happening a lot and it really disgusts me. They defend it with "What's the big deal, I've seen her naked before. I…

I always thought nerdy guys were nice and jocks were bad like in those high school movies but I actually found nerds tend to be total assholes and jocks are way more fun and down to earth. I had a friend who fit the nerd stereotype but he was really sexist and condescending, he used to talk like he was writing an essay and trying to fill up the word count to sound “smarter”, I don’t think he even knew what half the words meant he just threw them in and thought that I couldn’t understand him beca…

As a woman who grew up having aspergers syndrome, endometriosis and anxiety problems-all of which were inherited- I can say it's not horrible or eugenic to want a child that is healthy. In my country we have free healthcare so it wasn't too bad for my mum though it probably took an emotional toll on her seeing me in pain all the time and dealing with emotional outbursts and depressive episodes. No parent wants to see their child in so much pain. In other places there's not only an emotional toll…

It’s strange how he keeps calling it “talking about the birth of his son” because he isn’t focused on his son at all, he’s focused on that one upsetting moment. “You’ve made me hate the memory of the birth of my son!” Typical gaslighting. You're welcome. Sorry I misunderstood and thought you were still pregnant. It is quite difficult to leave when you have to protect your child as well. Just remember that your child is better off without a father than with an abusive one. I really hope you can get to safety soon.

About a year ago I applied for college. I went in for an interview and the teacher was very impressed and told me right then that I would definitely have a place on the course. I wanted to celebrate it with my family but they all got into a fight over something ridiculous and started being rude to me. I said "Why are you doing this on my big day?" I’m not fussed about the price but it does need to be something durable and strong since I have a physical job and it has to be personal in some way, maybe some symbols engraved on it that have special meaning to me. As for proposals definitely not public. As a kid I thought they were sweet but it’s just wrong. Why on earth would anyone want to ask such a big question in front of tonnes of people if not to pressure the person? Even if I loved the person I wouldn’t accept if they did that to me. …

My father abused me in lots of ways as a child. I left but stayed in contact and he tried to get me back. Last year I tried to apply for college which pissed him off. He started trying to convince me to live with him and bribed me with money, when that didn’t work he threatened me and when that didn’t work he spread rumours about me. Eventually I took his money... then used it to pay for my college course. I stood up to my father and cut him out for good. I have my own flat now with a little gar…

I was once pressured into sending a guy pictures when I was about 15. I repeatedly told him no but he used a bunch of manipulative techniques to make me do it. I told someone and they just told me off and said "you did it though so stop whining, it's not like you were threatened." I know it's not the worst thing but it was still violating. They’re allowed to have all these useless standards for women they have sex with but we aren’t allowed to want a certain penis size- which is actually necessary for an orgasm during penetrative sex? I feel like they know how stupid they sound but they are just trying to come up with excuses as to why they can't be bothered giving their partners an orgasm. Yes that's an excellent point! I had heard about some of that but not about penises being clitorises before the chromosome. That makes a lot more sense. They always want …

How is that even a question? “Do women need to orgasm” what the hell? If we weren’t supposed to orgasm then why would it be possible?

•when the guy don’t make sure she feels good. He should watch and check in to make sure she likes it, if she doesn’t he should ask what to do. It’s disgusting the amount of people who act like that’s weird. •when he only gets involved in sexual activities for HIS pleasure: head, handjobs, sex, etc but he would never do that for her. •If he puts pressure on a woman to have sex until she says yes. That’s not really consent, it’s coercion.

My father actually did the same thing, he used to piss all over the place but luckily my mum left. It’s sad how women are brainwashed into thinking cleaning up after a repulsive excuse for a man is normal

It's okay, you didn't do anything wrong. Lots of people fall victim to abusive relationships and struggle to get out. Abusers are very manipulative and make you feel like you aren't your own person. Don't feel bad. There's this metaphor I heard to describe abuse and it helps me when I blame myself for staying: Domestic abuse is like boiling a frog. If you drop a frog straight into a pot of boiling water it will hop out. If you put a frog into a pot of cold water it stays, as you gradually increa…

I got banned from a feminist subreddit too. It was just a regular post and I was agreeing with it like everyone else in the comments and I got permanently banned for no reason. I asked the moderator to explain why I was banned. They said “you have violated community guidelines, no further communication is wanted.” I didn’t violate any guidelines and asked them to look at my comments again. I got blocked. I didn’t get why because there were no arguments, anything. The OP said porn is full of viol…

I’m so glad he’s been convicted. It’s disgusting. Why are so many men so insistent on not wearing condoms? I don’t understand it.

So many people seem to believe this. When I was in high school we did a class on sex education, consent, etc and we had to organise cards with scenarios on them into categories: rape/unsure/not rape. One said “a man forcing his wife to have sex when she’s said no” a bunch of people put it into the “not rape” category. When asked to explain they said “but if you got married that’s what you signed up for. You have to do it.” These were teenagers and many of them were girls.

All of my life I’ve been harassed by people about whether or not I had a boyfriend yet . The pressure really started when I was 12 and everyone around me was dating. I was called weird and some people told me I should just date people despite feeling nothing towards them because it’s mean to reject someone. I was called heartless and that I would be miserable, by peers, adults and family. All my friends were miserable when they dated these boys. They got used and broke up every week. I’m in coll…

Growing up I was told that's just what men are like. I was forced to clean up after my abusive father and cook for him and everyone would say how cute it was. Society thinks a 5 year old girl is more responsible and suited to housework than a 30 year old man and it's absoloutley disgusting. People brainwash us into thinking that this is the ideal way to live. Never date a man who does not look after himself, it starts off as him asking you to do the dishes and then before you know it you're clea…

Holy shit I thought I was the only one who noticed this, it's been bugging me for ages. My stepdad always walks faster than my mum, me and my brother or at least walks in front of us. Sometimes we stop perhaps if we need to sit down and he will continue walking, he will walk way ahead. It makes me so angry because I've noticed it's nothing to do with a quick pace, I was once out with them on a walk on a very narrow path so we all had to walk in single file and i walked ahead, only by a few metre…

Well if we were actually provided with clothes made of thick material this wouldn’t happen...but you want us to wear skintight see through clothing don’t you? Oh wait I forgot, even though these clothes turn you off but you also want us to wear them you would also call us sluts?
