I've had one guy tell me I couldn't be 5ft 9 because he's 5ft9 and I'm taller than him. Turned out I was actually 5ft9.5 so thanks for that guy.

I have a boss who likes to talk at length. During my job interview I basically asked him about what he did, the day-to-day, what they looked for in an employee which wasn't listed in the job description. I hate to say it, but it does work.

I've been to this exhibition and I remember every single description being so saddening. So many toxic and abusive men in these women's lives.

I hope younger women wake up to this. Somebody made a comment akin to this on TikTok and somebody called it Victim blaming. It's progressive language used to justify patriarchal power structures and make women feel like they have no agency. But really, would it work in any other context? "Hey, maybe if you took off your blindfold you could see better and you wouldn't keep crashing into things." "Stop victim blaming me! I'm not a bad person for wearing a blindfold! I'm just in a vulnerable place …

Wait. Some women are really out there forking over almost 400$ for a console they won't get anything out of and will make their bfs pay less attention to them? I thought that was a joke. I guess it's different if it's something you'll both use but even then it should be 50/50.

I've definitely cried with happiness when making love to my boyfriend before. But Jesus Christ crying for any reason other than that during sex? Horrifying.

I've done that once or twice. Sometimes it's a case of "I've had my fun and he's getting there, I'll move around a bit and be quiet", but sometimes it's more like "yeah neither of us are getting anything out of this and at this point it's more of a pride thing for you" so I say I'm bored.

That's genuinely bizarre. I will admit I don't give significant attention to cleaning my bellybutton but even then there's nothing in there. What do these people... do?

I had a friend who had a date cancelled by no-show, no-call, spent the next day messaging/calling/emailing him, just to get a call from his work phone saying his phone had died and he can only use his work phone. Then she called him on the work phone just for him to say never to do that again. That friend was me 🤡🤡🤡

I think asexual is a valid label because not everything in life revolves around sex and a complete lack of desire doesn't mean there's something wrong with you. What it does is give the user reassurance that they aren't alone. Demisexual, however, is slut-shamy as hell and can die in a hole. Speaking as a former pansexual demiromantic (I know, ugh) who now just goes as bi.

I feel like a LVM who has something to say bout something as natural and as unavoidable as a period is another breed of man. A no-value male. Like yeah I've dated a few LVMs but they always accepted periods like something they couldn't control. Just got me pads and painkillers and stayed out of my way.

I'll tell you what happened. Pick Mes. Gen X men were fed up and started making media where the Love Interest was decidedly not like other girls and put on a pedestal because of it. Cue Millennial girls trying very hard to emulate that and ruining it for the rest of us.

Beggar couples have a soft spot in my heart. They always seem sad but content enough. They know they can't be alone and will stand by each other through the worst. Meanwhile well-off guys with steady income and savings will act like they are the Messiah for getting you a birthday present.

I used to thing I couldn't give LVMs high requirements because I wasn't pretty enough. I essentially allowed some guy to treat me like crap because I never set boundaries for myself (other than making him leave that one time he tried to r*pe me in the basement of my apartment complex). Then I met up with a friend of mine who was an actual model. Legit the prettiest girl in the room. Oh and when it's his turn to buy groceries they make sure to get the exact amount of everything they need. A single avocado. A single bell pepper. A single pack of tofu. No snacks, no fruit, nothing frivolous. But if you get a snack they expect you to share.

Yeah no I wasn't expecting you to, I agree with you. I wanted to say that (I wasnt aware that he wasn't a virgin at the time as we were both in our twenties) if he wasn't genuinely eager and made me come with his hands/mouth I wouldn't have bothered lol

One time I was about to hook up with a guy and asked him if he had condoms. He said "no, but it's okay, no women ever got pregnant with me". I asked him if he was clean, and he was so offended and asked me how I could ask him that. I told him I pretty much had to because he just admitted to never wearing a condom, and he kind of shrugged and reluctantly agreed. So many LVMs think they're above STDs and think the only downside of unprotected sex is the possibility of getting someone pregnant.

My boyfriend was a virgin when I met him and it took a while to get him "calibrated" as he was nervous and didn't really know what he was doing. He seemed eager to learn and did please me with his fingers/mouth during the first three attempts. In the end it took us four. So I'm glad I stuck around because he's the best thing ever.

I tried to break things off amicably, I really did. But I had left my favourite leather jacket at his place and he lived in another country. I offered to pay for shipping. I gave him an address of a family friend who lived in the country so he could send it there. The ordeal started in May. First he kept "forgetting". Then he said it returned to sender because I gave him the wrong address (I didn't), and when I asked him to show me the tracking number he said he left it somewhere and can't remem…

My man makes me plates. Part of it is because he's a very fussy eater and tends to prefer the food he makes so he cooks most of the time. I'll cook for him from time to time if he's late home after work and too bollocksed to do it, but he's putting his own tofu on his own plate smh.

Going half on bills as you're both doing a double income no kids deal seems fair to me... then again I live in a city where you're paying 650 a month for a room. A ROOM. Also how tf does somebody get in an arrangement where they "have to" have a threesome every 4 months? In my personal experience, threesomes just sort of happen and it's never if any of you are engaged in anything serious. Some pickmeishas are crafting a special sort of personal hell.

My mom watched Sex and the City and she HATED Samantha so much. How DARE a woman have sex because she wants to! How DARE she focus on her career and her friendships instead of being stuck in a 10-year-long "will they or won't they" loop! Mr Big got engaged to (married?) another woman after telling Carrie he wasn't ready for marriage, then cheated on his fiancee (wife?) with Carrie, left Carrie at the altar... and we're supposed to root for this couple? Hard pass.

I am always perplexed by some of my friends who maintain contact with their shitty exes for years. Not just like casual acquaintance contact, but full on going on dates and hanging out just to say 'I'm soooo over him!!!' before doing the same shit. Girl. The block feature is free and easy to use. I have a strict no-contact policy with exes and it has saved me so much drama.

I am 100 percent certain I am the crazy ex. I dated a guy who decided I was untrustworthy because I partied a lot (with him!). We spent 5 days out of a week together. I let him go through my phone. I let him ask my friends about my whereabouts. I'd never hear the end of it if I went out without him. I moved back home and left him my favourite leather jacket thinking I'll return and pick it up. Also, absolutely avoid men who try and give you "constructive criticism". As in, "guys don't like X" or "you would look better if you just Y". They will always say it's constructive criticism. Why are they giving constructive criticism to you as a person? You are a person, not a doctorate thesis. There is nothing constructive about it other than them projecting their fetishes onto their idealized version of you.

One of the big things I needed to figure out in my first relationship. 6 months of "let's not make this official", then a sudden "we're not seeing other people so we're official by default", after which the entire relationship went to shit. Don't let them waste your time.

LVM who have something against women being interested in fashion/makeup/skincare and consider those interests trivial are the same men who will neg their girlfriends because they have "potential" to be pretty if they "just put in a bit more effort". Ugh.

I mean... obviously I wouldn't be calling my bf during working hours but messages are fair game to me since he can respond to them at any time. I've had boyfriends who made it a point never ever to talk to me during working hours, even though they had breaks and did much less at their job than they pretended to do. I'm not bombarding you with messages. I'm wishing you a nice day!

That's basically it. Also this is the narcissist in me but due to my semi-athletic build, I tend to look better in sports bras and leggings than anything else. I see myself in an everyday bra and it just looks kind of sad - I also hate the feeling of padded bras.

I suppose I am lucky enough to be a B cup, so my boobs are not too squished by it. If I was A I probably wouldn't get much use out of them, and if I was anything bigger I would probably be miserable. I also never, ever size down with sports bras. I see many athlete youtubers say "oh I'm an S but I wear this in XS because I like to be tightened up :)" fuck that for a lark. If anything if I'm an S I'll get a medium sized bra just in case.

Victoria's Secret bras will be the death of me. I have B cup breats but a very wide ribcage, so my size is 85B. I can find 80B. Or 85C. But they never have 85B. Gutted each time.

I'm the opposite. During lockdown I got more into fitness and even running. A good sports bra makes me feel ready for the day and makes me feel like I can get into exercise at any time. I can workout in my pajamas but I must have my sports bra on. Putting it on is the only hard part but after that's done, I feel invincible. Like I'm wearing body armour. Note, however, that I said sports bra. I haven't worn a "normal" bra in months, and honestly I do not miss it. EDIT: Am I getting downvoted for …

I think I read somewhere those posh uni high societies make their hazing rituals as awful as possible, because if you're in that school, in that society, chances are you are going to be in a high position later in life. And what better way to get all your uni friends a piece of that pie than good old blackmail.

To be perfectly honest, I see where he is coming from. German syntax does not flow in the way English does. Some of their compound words are hilariously to the point (Antibabypillen means contraceptive pills), and their word for "girlfriend" and "friend" is one and the same. I get it. I have a friend who thinks French is whiny. I have another friend who thinks English is cold and distanced. I understand language preferences, and mine just happens to be German.

I'm surprised this documentary was changing women's views on the porn industry. I thought it was commonly agreed upon (perhaps just never said aloud) that the industry preys on the young and desperate by giving them false promises of a carefree financial future, in return for their safety; whether the risk comes from the possibility of getting doxxes, getting a disease, getting pregnant, being disowned, being deemed unemployable...

I knew this phrasing would come up eventually and I should have phrased myself better. Duties traditionally attributed to women in a household. A father never changing their kid's diaper is a shame, but not unheard of. A woman never changing her child's diaper would be labeled a child abuser.

LVM love to shun feminine skills while also criticizing lack thereof. The same guys who say outdated things like "women belong in the kitchen" and not regarding household chores as hard work are the same ones living in filth and unable to make themselves anything more complex than Pot Noodles. It's the same sort of people who say girls need to "just lift heavy weights, they can't bulk up" and then complain how athletic girls look too masculine and "ruined their bodies" if they have the tiniest bit of increased muscle mass. I am very happy with my bf. He is continuously self improving, is intelligent and emotionally intelligent, has a good job. But we have been apart since quarantine and focused on our interests, me on learning German, writing my novel, exercising, learning to cook, and touching up my CV. Ugh. I've been exercising every day for a few months now and got the results I wanted, as in flat stomach, toned body, leaner thighs. Felt good and posted a pic of myself on my Insta story. Immediately a guy chimes in saying you need to be doing more weighted squats, your butt is not a bubble butt and is too flat. God all I do on this site is bash my exes, it's embarrassing. But here's a rundown of a low-value male and what he's done to make my life miserable as a pick-me option. Took it "casual", only texted me late at night, forgot to text me for days at a time, our dates were only to his house. This lasted for 6 months. Many of them aren't. Word of advice: keep away from stoners, unless you are one, or you are going to be dealing with a lot of guys who boast at length about their job, hobbies, and achievements, but never actually do anything other than sit on their ass, eat junk food, and play videogames. First - I was missing confidence and sense of self worth. I gained that by breaking up with him myself after realising that he was not making me happy and never would in any meaningful way. Second - I was missing a spine and let him walk all over me just because he did one thing the first guy didn't, and that was say he loved me. Oh my God yes! This was my first relationship ever. Went out for six months before we became exclusive, but then immediately got told he did not love me that way but enjoyed my company. Six months. I regret to say that I did not see the signs, but I was 18, naive, and struggling with debilitating depression which was made much worse by our break-up. Rule of thumb now is, if he doesn't love you within two months, he is not going to love you ever.

Oooooooooooooooooooooof. I love how guys always frame our depression as a personal failure, like I am somehow responsible for the chemical imbalance in our brain. Yes, working against it can help, but it takes months and even years just to get to a point where you can "go outside for a walk" without feeling like you're dissociating/breaking down. I suppose male depression is artistic and mysterious and female depression is pathetic and hysterical.

To me being in an unhappy relationship is 10 times more lonely than being alone. Because you are not getting the affection and companionship you need/deserve, and also you can't look for it elsewhere.
