Not at all. It’s just that the discipline you think you’re providing to these women is nonexistent and the discipline they think they are providing you is also nonexistent. Women that do “bad things” appear on the internet and are either disciplined by authority or scolded by the internet - remarks which have no significant value to either party.

There is a relevant distinction between men being on a path and men doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. Personally, I don’t care what women think of me in the context of individualism - I do care if this woman went and rallied everyone to scold my ability to be a person in society. That’s what MGTOW is doing by bashing random internet women from half a decade ago.

The logic in creating this advertisement is questionable. Did Gillette want to promote their products by shaming men? Did Gillette want to cater to women by calling out men while also achieving the secondary goal of having the woman buy the product for the man? Did Gilette KNOW it was shaming men before the commercial got released? It's questionable because as a man, it would not stop me from using a quality shaving cream or blade from them if I knew that it would give me the results that I want…
