Sounds like it can come off as passive aggressive / butthurt tho

I envisioned this playing in my head Edgar Wright style

How are you letting her words have so much effect on you. At the end of the day, does it really matter what she thinks of you? An alpha wouldn't even give it a thought. He is grounded in himself and knows nothing can shake him. You need to stop giving a fuck and by that I mean you need to stop letting the negativity get to you. You don't need external validation from others to know that you're the shit. Don't let other's opinions define who you are

Too much talking -- too much comfort/rapport building will kill attraction. Save it for when you meet her in person.

Can you elaborate on the "real romantic game"?

Extending on this, as an attractive girl, shes gone through life with thirsty guys always pampering her and trying to care for her. Therefore I think she has been conditioned to equate the act of pampering and caring as a means of showing love. So she cares for me by cooking for me, stocking my fridge, and buying me gifts but I don't really do anything in return. Almost all of our fights comes down to her blaming me for not caring for her enough. So in a way maybe she is projecting her definitio…

What can I do about it. I could call her out on it as that's a direct breach of a relationship boundary. But by doing so, am I coming across as insecure? If I don't call her out on it, I feel like its giving her implicit permission that it is okay for her to give out her number.

That is an interesting way of putting it. She is saying all this shit to make me jealous, but she doesn't realize jealousy doesn't work the same way on guys as it works on girls. Pre-selection is a turn off to men.

Wow thank you for that sobering response. I really needed that wake up call. Its crazy how one-itis can really cloud your vision. Jesus Christ, I need to not get so attached

Although I agree with the idea of not being able to control my girlfriend. I think I should at the very least establish my boundaries. Whether she chooses to honor them is her decision. The responses to the top comment on http://www.reddit.com/r/TheRedPill/comments/28xwgo/super_confused_about_how_trp_handles_ltr_or_gfsthread pretty much sums up what I am talking about.

Thanks for the response. I agree I may be taking it too far with the trying to be alpha thing. It may be coming off as incongruent.

Thanks, that was pretty insightful. She comes from a very wealthy family (she drives a Mercedes) and she's told me many times before one of the main reasons she was attracted to me was because I didn't try to buy my way into her pants by spending money on her. She is more than capable of taking care of herself financially and even helps me financially as well. (We spent a week in NYC and she paid near 1000$ for our hotel fee.) She comes from a traditional conservative family background and has h…

I agree with everything you said, and it seems like currently she is trying to keep tabs on me since I haven't expressed any concerns with her cheating yet.

Only thing though, an LTR already implies that if she cheat it is over. So why reiterate something that is a given

To clarify, she is only gone for a month for winter break

To clarify she will be returning in a month. It isn't an LDR

Does that mean she returns back to pre-birth control mood levels and sex drive? Or does it mean she just learns to cope with it and not bitch out

Very interesting. There seems to be two opposing view points in the comments here. Either address it directly and risk looking butthurt, or address indirectly and fall into the trap of playing passive aggressive mind games. Both sides seem to have very valid reasons to back it up.

I've been through her phone personally. She's very open about it and even told me her lock screen password. She mostly browses social media. I've checked her messages and its mostly harmless messages from her friends/family and beta orbiters that she brushes off with one word replies.

I loved the dog analogy, it really puts things in perspective. I strongly agree with everything you said. However I feel that withdrawing my presence from her would keep her always excited to see me ensuring the momentum keeps going.

I was under the impression that this applied to Ovulation not periods.

That was very eye opening, thanks. Is it safe to assume that most shit tests at this point of our relationship would lean more towards comfort shit testing as we've already had sex and it seems like she is going the extra mile to win me over.

She definitely is attractive. Almost everyone in our mutual friend circle have tried to get with her in one way or another and have all failed and been coldly rejected. I initially thought she was out of my league but I kept talking to her anyway and didn't let it affect me.

I really don't have any plans for any serious long term commitment yet especially not marriage. I'm set on seeing where this goes and enjoying the ride while trying to not get too attached. I don't think I would be expected to provide as I'm fulfilling the role of the lover and not necessarily the provider. I also think she does not need me to provide for her as she is well off to begin with.

Hopefully she learns to handle it better in the future. This is already the second time she's cried, and I really do not want it to become a habitual way for her to gain the upperhand in any power play.

Thanks that was insightful. Literally within an hour of making this post we got into our first "argument" over something really petty. We just got done eating the lunch she just prepared and were chilling on the couch. I'm reading through the comments on this thread and I start chuckling. She immediately gets real close and asks what's so funny, and I kinda brush her off mainly because I don't want her to see the post and also because its none of her business. She does this two more times and I …

Could someone elaborate on this? I feel I maintain the alpha role in every other part of our relationship. Except for the provider part. I am pretty dominant around her and she reciprocates in submissiveness.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
