Think about it this way, her getting raped is horrible, but it’s something you can recover from. But if her lie worker, then two people would have their life raped, spend at least 10 years in prison that they won’t get back, then leave without hope of living a good life on a sex offender registry probably in worse shape than when they got convicted .

Well public universities in Georgia are actually controlled by the government, I used to think the same thing. And this is gonna sound rude, but if you can’t make at least a 3.0 then chances are you are not going to be successful in a field that will provide a return on investment to state, or will fall into one of the “useless majors “. Less fortunate people should be using that scholarship as an incentive to work harder. There is another scholarship for less fortunate people here, and if you c…

I get what you’re saying, but if that were case the rich persons parents contributed more to their college than the broke kid, and the broke kid would be able to go to college with taxes. The way it’s set up here is the poor kid would get free tuition if he had good grades from rich people buying lottery, and Thad’s parents would need to pay out of pocket since he has a 2.5 gpa

Yeah I think the notion of being forced to pay people’s tuition, especially if they don’t take it seriously or want a useless major, is ridiculous

Going to the best public college in my state only costs 10k a year(before scholarships) so community and smaller colleges are definitely cheaper than 10k a year. The only time college is ridiculously expensive is out of state tuition where it is easily 3-4 times as expensive. If you go to out of state school and have to take out loans it’s on you for wasting a whole 4 years worth of school on one overpriced year

I live in a state where the students who actually try are Rewarded with partial coverage or even full coverage of tuition as long as your gpa is higher than a certain amount. Best part is that it doesn’t come from taxes, the money comes from the lottery!

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
