You make a fair point, one of which I needed to hear from someone else. Thank you. As to the lawyer — this feedback came from one of the few shes interviewed to hire, not mine. You’re right a lawyer should only rep one client.

Fair point. I make probably 4x a year more than my partner, and assets wise I have well over a $1mm in assets vs hers $0. So it’s protecting me. I suggested it, had it drafted and have had it handed off to her to sign. It does fairly offer support for her, and doesnt look to unfairly make it an onerous contract, but the numbers explain it well.
