I can see why you would be conflicted however I would say that our first duty as a society is to avoid victimizing people ourselves, which requires a dispassionate evaluation of fact. If he did what is being claimed it is a horrible thing and I would hope he would be caught and punished, if he is guilty and there is not enough evidence to bust him that is a tragedy. There are many wrong acts that are 'understandable', it doesn't make them any less wrong. Revenge porn specifically is being outlawed in a lot of states and blackmail is illegal pretty much everywhere. If you're worried about your stuff best thing you can do is get her to text you she's going to destroy it/throw it out or just call the trash company to find out what her trash days are and take pictures of it in her garbage.
