Because when you make an accusation it's on you to support it, which is the only rational way to handle things.

I can see why you would be conflicted however I would say that our first duty as a society is to avoid victimizing people ourselves, which requires a dispassionate evaluation of fact. If he did what is being claimed it is a horrible thing and I would hope he would be caught and punished, if he is guilty and there is not enough evidence to bust him that is a tragedy. However if he didn't then, as a society, we have gone from a situation where no tragedy actually happened to one where we have acti…

There are many wrong acts that are 'understandable', it doesn't make them any less wrong. Unfortunately there are people who act in bad faith and will abuse that understanding and so we should strive to make the most rational decisions we can as a society, which certainly isn't to instantly ruin a man because of vague accusations over twitter and rumors about a popular figure in a controversial line of work.

But it is a sure-fire way for a rape victim to get back at the person who raped them. It's a surefire way to 'get back at' anyone you want regardless of guilt or innocence, how can you not see that as a problem?

No, the presumption of innocence applies when someone is accusing you of something. If you're the one making an accusation proving it is on you, and always has been.

You don't have to actually 'go through with it' for it to be blackmail. The 'making it clear part' is the blackmail, you're not being clever. From your posts it also looks like you did go through with it, even though you deleted it, 'bud'. There's also a shitload of other laws that can be thrown at you to destroy you economically in addition to the criminal element. No one should have to tell you not to get so attached to stuff that it makes you the same type of clingy manipulative bitch that yo…

Holy shit are you giving bad advice. Revenge porn specifically is being outlawed in a lot of states and blackmail is illegal pretty much everywhere. If you're worried about your stuff best thing you can do is get her to text you she's going to destroy it/throw it out or just call the trash company to find out what her trash days are and take pictures of it in her garbage. Then take her to small claims court, the filing fee is minimal and you can ask the judge to make her pay that too. Or you kno…

This is revenge fantasy material, not how adults behave. It's not worth the risk or the hassle just to sooth your ego cause you got taken for a couple of hundred. It's also a really stupid way to commit a crime because you're talking about creating a lot of noise while doing something very obviously illegal in public and purposefully letting the victim know who did it, if you're set on being a criminal never be a dumb criminal.

It doesn't sound like he needs anything, she gave him an invitation then proceeded to sit her own ass down. It also doesn't sound like she was grabed 'from' anyone.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
