Sometimes I forget we have a day

My take is that a lot of these “incels” sound like this its not about the word it’s about it being used in a weird context and in a negative tone.

I think it’s a bit of a leap to say “oh the food was cold when I came home? YOURE UNGRATEFUL!” For all we know the stay at home mom is also trying her best

Love isn’t a transaction, love isn’t “do a bunch of chores for me while I’m away also doing chores” love is about being on the same team. It’s about going through life together through both the good and bad. Yes there’s not much love going on here but not because someone won’t make dinner, it’s because everyone in that house is tearing each other down instead of building each other up.

Because working all day gives people carte Blanche to be a dick to their loved ones.

Idk I think that the dude is still being a dick. We have a duty not as men but as human beings to make sure that we don’t pass down our negative feelings. As hard as work can be we shouldn’t make it the problem of those we love, we should be able to vent in healthier ways. Coming home and yelling at your beloved wife and mother of your children because there’s a few less than ideal things you have to come home to isn’t right. Not excusing the behavior of his daughter, but it sounds like she trie…

The reality is though most of the men who do feel this way can’t articulate it that doesn’t mean their feelings are invalid.

Anyone got a link to the original video they’re responding to?

Ah yes because we have to care about everything even if it isn’t a part of our direct sphere of advocacy AND we have to never get details wrong. If feminists/ feminism were held to this standard it would crumble just as easily

I think the depp case is a breakthrough. For years this has never been acknowledged and now society is being forced to.

We can argue all day about 1,4 and 5 but 2 and 3 are just ridiculous. Humans have sexual urges, we don’t reproduce by budding, expecting either gender to be completely without lust is ridiculous and I wouldn’t dream of trying to make other people repress it so long as it’s being expressed in a way that doesn’t cause real and measurable harm. I don’t think I’m a bdsm guy but if two consenting adults are into it it’s none of our business.

I hate to be that guy but I think it needs to be said. You can’t, not if you genuinely want a relationship that’s long term. At some point you have to be willing to open yourself up to pain and all the risks you worry about. At some point all you can do is try to trust and that’s scary man. All relationships require trust, you trust your mom not to do a Casey Anthony all your life, you trust your brother not to do a Cain, you must trust her not to do another Delilah to you.

Would it have killed this person to not be a deceitful fuck and be honest about how they felt from the get go?

Yeah but when feminists say “1 in 5 homeless people are women” we rightly deride them for only ever caring and women and never men.

So 2/3 are women? Look I agree it’s fucked up but let’s try to avoid the same pitfalls feminism is still going down

Here’s hoping those kids are able to have healthy sex lives when they’re old enough

I didn’t say we necessarily needed feminism, just that being dicks to women doesn’t help the cause

Haven’t heard of it but misogyny is bad, so assuming it deals with actual misogyny and not just brow beating people who advocate for the rights of men then I’m cool with it. There’s no reason for MRA’s and WRA’s to be at each other’s throats

Agreed, dude needs to take the grass pill. The other person is definitely a weirdo but still

It’s my opinion that right now feminism needs to get its priorities straight. That being said there are bad things that effect women out there too, for that reason I don’t see why at least theoretically we can’t get along on issues that harm us both, even if they don’t harm one gender as bad as the other.

All I’m gonna say is that puberty doesn’t hit two people the same.

In all fairness it’s more a colloquialism for being a guy who’s more bark than bite

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
