You just gotta ignore advice from women and be a good person. When they tell you not to approach at the grocery store they’re talking about Johnny bravo style “Heyyyyy baby” type approaches. If you’re polite I say approach women wherever you see them.

I agree that waiting for iois is ideal. But my take is. Women say all the time that these things are not fool proof. Chatting to her will elucidate her interest wayyyy better than anything else. And you can have a polite chat with anyone in the world, don’t listen to that man hating BS of “it’s the grocery store! You’re a disgusting pig for talking to a woman there”

I don’t think it’s their fault. It’s natural. But deny it as much as you want I believe in these phenomena. I’ve lived it. And I’m only like an 8 maybe.

I’m actually very good looking.
/r/AllPillDebate06/10/23 04:55 PM

That’s because most 10/10 girls can’t stop monkey branching. I’d rather date a loving, humble 7-8.

Ya wanna give off “James Bond” vibes not “Johnny Bravo” vibes.

I look at it like this. What you do is not important. What’s important is that you keep putting yourself out there.

Not until they acknowledge that the male experience is valid. Its hard for me to listen to women say they want xyz when they keep dating abc. And “everyone is unique so no general rule is going to be true” is not satisfying because it seems there really are, generally, things you can do to broaden your appeal and improve your chances.

100% if you sense an interest just go for it. Chat with everyone politely and try to see who responds well to the social interaction.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/10/23 06:45 PM

I say fuck all that and if you sense an interest, pursue it. No matter where it happens.

I agree but I think a lot of places are less odd than people say. If you’re a pretty sociable person.

You’re right. Men should be allowed to approach and flirt with women. Unfortunately everyone says that’s creepy and annoying and you shouldnt do that. But I agree that if you ignore that advice you will have better luck with women.

Dang I’m starting to think that most women on Reddit are just anti social because in real life when I “touch grass” I have mostly positive experiences doing this. I’m not Johnny bravo lol I’m polite and charming.

This is real. From a man’s perspective. It feels like all the advice is “turn yourself into something undeniable” ie get hotter, get richer, become someone worth dating. But then when it comes to actual talking to women the advice is “stay the fuck away until it’s OBVIOUS” like okay I’ve turned myself into a ten but I’m not allowed to talk to girls because some guys are creeps and assholes? That’s my frustration. From my POV if you’re a good person, an honorable person, then there’s no harm in a…
/r/PurplePillDebate03/10/23 09:42 PM

Thank you so much for a nuanced reply! My whole point is that respectful courting and flirting is not wrong. If you’re interested in someone you should gently try to show them that. It breaks my heart that there’s guys out there that are stifling their lives because they are afraid to make someone uncomfortable. If you’re actually a good person I see no harm in chatting to a lady you find attractive.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/10/23 09:12 PM
1

You’ve just said “it’s obvious” “just flirt” but “don’t escalate” do you see how that is, at best, contradictory and to most downright confusing.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/10/23 09:05 PM

And I’d rather risk making a lady uncomfortable because believe it or not. Sometimes they’re receptive and things work out 🤷‍♂️. You can assume all men are criminals and I’ll assume all women are interested in me until proven otherwise.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/10/23 08:46 PM

Can I ask you what is an appropriate way/setting to approach a girl? Or furthermore, how would you escalate towards sex and romance if you had already been acquainted?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/10/23 06:44 PM

Easily. That’s why I would tell guys to talk to as many women as possible. Because SOME of them actually do want you to.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/10/23 06:39 PM

Can you admit that most men are not bad people?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/10/23 06:27 PM

it’s RARELY obvious if a woman is interested and 2. Society tells men that they need to be the pursuer all the time women included and that if you don’t get the results you want it’s because of your failure.

I think it’s more like men were taught to appeal to this super enlightened modern day woman. But most enlightened modern day women still get tingly from old school stuff like traditional masculinity.
/r/AllPillDebate03/10/23 04:15 PM

I halfway agree. I have better sex with a partner, but the new stuff is just so validating.
/r/AllPillDebate03/10/23 04:09 PM

Things have gotten better for me but I’ve always been like a 9 or 10. I just learned intimately a few things that I never wanted to believe when I was younger. For example I got laid plenty as a young man but if I had behaved slightly differently I probably could have tripled those numbers. So I guess I disagree in my case because I always had the potential but never had the confidence and appropriate attitude.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/10/23 03:48 PM

You could have a great conversation with a woman but then she will hit you with the “no spark” text. On the other hand you could talk bullshit and banter, never mention anything about yourself or ask a thought provoking question but if your kino and banter was on point you’ll get that second date or whatever.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/10/23 03:33 PM
3

Yeah why the need to put a negative spin on communication? That’s a good point.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/10/23 03:23 PM
1

I’ve always been good looking but I was trying to be “good” and be a one woman man. Now I’m older I’m not saying I’m more attractive but I’m much better at getting what I want from women. The funny thing is more of them fall in love with me this way than when I was trying to be “good”.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/10/23 03:10 PM
1

I say fuck all those rules and slang it wherever there’s an interest.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/10/23 03:02 PM

I love how at the end she said “only entertain guys we are attracted to” as if hot guys are always safe and somehow not scary like the other attention she was talking about. Maybe it’s worth the risk if he’s hot 🤷‍♂️ I understand the fear based on history. But most men today are not criminals. I think just like women don’t want to be assumed to be submissive sex machines. Men don’t want to be assumed to be violent criminals. And this narrative that all men are sexual predators is really hurtful …

I’ll tell him that no matter how much they tell you to be humble and self aware, the truth is humans are hard wired to respect someone who is Uber confident and borderline arrogant. Especially women.

I’ve literally never seen a guy do anything crazy after being rejected. I’ve seen women be full on violent if a guy turned them down. I’m convinced anyone who says guys do this crazy shit has never been outside or needs to seriously take a look at who they hang out with.

Ma’am you may need to touch grass. It seems you’re basing your entire worldview on posts and videos that are fed to you by an algorithm that clearly knows you are a fear mongering man hater.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/09/23 07:43 PM

Strange I’ve never seen it. Women being rejected though… I have seen them throw drinks, physically attack, ridicule. You don’t see me out here claiming all women are violent, abusive, sore losers.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/09/23 07:34 PM
2

You’re a good man. I applaud you. Nothing wrong with living like that. I feel as though we are similar in a lot of ways. Does it not bother you that shit people often get what they want? How do you reconcile that?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/09/23 07:29 PM

What happens if she’s open to moisturizing his dick? I mean it takes two to tango. Only way to find out is to try. I think the issue is, there is only one way to find out if a girl is available and interested. So stop making it sound like men are evil and annoying for trying to figure that out. MOST men can handle rejection just fine and are not evil psychos.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/09/23 06:58 PM

I 100% agree and personally I would never try to imply that all people who move about are criminals because one time one person killed someone while moving about.

How about romance novels depicting power imbalances, kidnapping, sexual aggression, and major age differences, as hot and “steamy”. That shit drives me nuts.

Hey man I’ve never had trouble either, had plenty of things fall in my lap back when I was trying to be a goody two shoes. I am lucky in a lot of key departments I’m assuming you are too. However, that feels like being at the whim of the universe and having no control. I’d rather maximize my success rate by doing the things that work.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/09/23 05:57 PM
4

It’s crazy how a girl can say coded things like “I want to explore” we all know what that means. And a certain group will say that that is her prerogative consenting adults and that. Nobody says “be careful, sex is not the end all be all to happiness, could lead to a hollow existence” but If a man expresses the exact same sentiment it’s “how gross, you know there’s more to life than sex”

Lots of sociopaths out there then. Think about a job interview, you laying your soul bare? Or curating a very specific “professional” personality. I’ve heard it a lot from blue pillers on here in response to the “nice guy, overshare” gripes about scaring women away by being their honest selves. People often advocate for “putting your best foot forward” but then will tell guys that it’s sociopath behavior. People adapt to the world in order to get the best outcomes they can.

I’m done losing and making my desires secondary priority behind honor. So I guess I’ve developed a more selfish outlook on things. It’s not a crime to withhold information from someone who has no right to that information. I think a lot of people think “I’m a good person so whatever I want can be rationalized” so there’s no use in being mr nice guy if it puts you at a disadvantage.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/09/23 05:08 PM

Well I’m not going to stop myself from experiencing something as human as making romantic connection. I’m done wasting my life to make others comfortable. I hope more decent men out there also come to this conclusion and realize they are not wrong for wanting to make genuine connection and that they don’t deserve to be lumped in with murderers.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/09/23 05:02 PM

I no longer give a shit. Wrap it every time, never go downtown, assume they’re all seeing multiple people. If you want to actually be exclusive. Say something. If they ask, lie so you don’t ruin your chances. You can quit seeing your other lady friends if you decide she is worth it. Then you can go raw, go downtown, etc. you don’t owe anyone that information until you’re both agreed to be exclusive.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/09/23 04:51 PM

Results. I’m an attractive man and a few early rejections tanked my confidence so bad I was under the impression that I’m ugly. The reverse is likely true for this subset of ladies. The results are making them think they’re hot because they succeed at acquiring sex from men every time they try.
/r/AllPillDebate27/09/23 04:45 PM
11

What if it’s dooming them to a life devoid of romance? I understand your POV but I think it’s important to remember that a vast majority of men are not murderers. I hope I’m not out of line for making such an outrageous supposition.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/09/23 04:42 PM

Exactly, all of us non criminals should keep doing what we’re doing and prove that not all men are murderers.

Anything about charisma or sales. I recommend “the charisma myth”. Beyond that I find there’s no better drill than bantering with people in public. Start with male boomers and older, they are the chattiest, most cheeky bunch, they will be happy to shoot the shit. Then old ladies to mix in light flattery with the banter. Then the ultimate test, female peers. Start with banter in innocuous settings. Then once you’re ready you can try in settings where sex and romance is more likely: club, bar, sin…

I’m young and hot! I need to “explore” getting fucked by a bunch of dudes who don’t even know how to cook breakfast and make me call my own Uber of shame rather than drive me home. Guess I’ll complain to my male “friend” who worships me and actually cares. I don’t think as large of a portion of women are as enlightened as OP believes.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/09/23 04:23 PM
3

All you’re doing is discouraging more good guys from approaching women. All the sweet gentlemen of the world hear this and think “dang, another good reason to let women choose me and never initiate” while all the bad men of the world will hear this and think “good, more rubes will be scared of approaching and I’ll have less competition” 🤷‍♂️
/r/PurplePillDebate27/09/23 04:17 PM
17

Excellent story. I guess I’ll just continue to not be a murderer and make romantic advances on women. But thanks for discouraging men from expressing their human desires, and implying that we are all violent criminals. We needed more of that in this day and age.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/09/23 04:14 PM

Yup that’s why I come here to chat shit about it. Can’t do it in public. My coworkers can talk about men in the most crass way, scrutinizing his “qualifications” but if I were to do the same it would be super frowned upon. I have my professional facade I put on but it does bug me.

I was raised to believe any confidence is arrogance. It’s taken me a lot of work to realize that if I’m the man, I am allowed to act like it. In fact it seemingly makes people uncomfortable if you’re ballin but act like mr humble.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/23 05:17 PM

I’ve stopped caring about that. I care less about honesty than I do about my outcomes.

Indeed you gotta put a positive spin on yourself. Like a used car salesman or a realtor. It’s not small it’s cozy, it’s not old it’s got character, you’re not unsuccessful you’re purpose driven and money is less important than the mission to you.

You can be the total package but if you’re not in the showroom nobody is gonna buy it. Conversely a good salesman can sell a bunch of a lesser product with strategy and work. It’s why you see hideous dudes with cute girls, they’ve sorted out some niche where they fit. Whether that’s “rich guy” or “club access guy” or whatever.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/23 02:57 PM

On the other hand we shouldn’t assume that people who struggle romantically are basement dwelling trolls. I know plenty of guys who get along with female coworkers, have large friend groups, not anti social, they’re just not the kind of personality that thrives with romance and women.

In past relationships I’ve done 90% of the cooking and cleaning and never received much affirmation. It seems when I date women they get complacent and stop taking care of themselves and their space. Typically they get fat and stop helping with chores and blame the mess on me.

Ive been nearly hitting that metric in the last few years and prior to a LTR I was for years during college. Here’s what I learned, Just that they lie about what they like. They say they don’t like shallow, arrogant, aggressive guys. But when I behave like that I have good results. When I try to be a real human and have deep conversations, girls get bored. “Spark” and attraction is WAYYYYY more important than all the bullshit banal advice we give young men. Chivalry was always about designing a code of honor so powerful dudes (knights) would police themselves and not run around pillaging people who lacked plate armor and good weapons. Women are powerful now too, so they should develop a code of their own. Until then I don’t think men are interested in giving up any leverage, they will begin to play their hand as ruthlessly as possible to get what they want.

Of course. I’m not a psycho. It’s just I’ve been approached by multiple girls years after an unsuccessful pursuit who said they were super in to me and I blew it by not pushing harder to make things sexual. It would be great if explicit consent was more widely accepted. As it stands I feel like girls hate to be asked explicitly. I disagree I believe the problem with modern dating is many people were raised to think that talking to strangers is rude and especially if you’re a man approaching a woman. Much less the bold type of advances you need to make as a man.

It’s risky, sure but it’s the only way. If it’s clear a girl isn’t interested then obviously move on to the next one. I’m just saying there’s no way to take things to a sexual place without taking a risk on a sexual joke or a little kino. Is it terrifying? Yes. Have men been raised to believe that their sex is inherently dangerous and violent? Yes. However I don’t believe a man is wrong for sexually or romantically pursuing a woman. If it’s objectification which is supposed to be a bad and creepy thing. Then why does it work on women? How come if I try to have a “real conversation” girls get bored and tell me there’s no “spark” and when you chat absolute rubbish and just immediately go into the double entendre and flirty kino, it works like a charm.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/23 07:21 PM

I think it’s good for young men to hear this. That it’s not scummy or creepy to act a little different when trying to pursue women. One good example is self deprecating humor, cut that shit out. Try to make yourself look as impressive and cool as possible. I’m not my “true self” at work because I’m trying to curate a facade of professionalism.

Nope, women want to be pursued and sexualized. Women want to have sex too. Can’t take it to that sexual place without some double entendre or some playful teasing, touching, banter. Can’t just ask her about herself and her hobbies and show interest, you gotta make advances and take risks. You might make a girl uncomfortable here and there, but you’ll probably get laid more too.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/23 01:47 PM

Wife every time. Ain’t even know the kid yet.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/23 08:13 PM

Less to do with results and more to do with how we treat people. A guy is not trash because he can’t get laid. Just like a girl is not some pure princess for staying abstinent. People assume a guy can’t get laid is somehow a bad person. It’s likely many guys who struggle with romance are just normal dudes. Not every virgin man is some kind of hideous psycho.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/23 08:12 PM

Yes. He was me. I never struggled the way some people on here apparently did. But everyone seemed to think I was drowning in it but I was certainly not. Likely this was due to the fact I didn’t know how to create any sexual tension. I emasculated and neutered myself for fear of annoying a lady or creeping her out.
