Ive been at it longer than you and much more success than you. Basically, your opinion doesn't count. AA does indeed go away. You'll learn one day.

Why are we making such a big deal out of confidence? It's simple. Confidence is just being sure of yourself. For example, if you've driven a truck for 10 years, you're probably pretty confident driving it. However, if you've only rode a motorcycle twice, you might not feel as confident. Same goes with women. If you've had a lot of experience, a lot of successes... then yes of course you'll feel confident. If you've never kissed a girl, then of course you won't have any confidence. Confidence com…

You're not doing it right. Not because of what you're wearing, but because you're posting pictures seeking approval and confirmation. And if you're not seeking approval, then your post title is a humblebrag and those are fucking annoying. Peacocking only works if you don't give a shit. With that being said, I think you look fantastic.

I'd join student organizations and try to find people you click and mesh well with. College students are extremely social, and the more you hang out with people, the more people (girls) you will meet. So that chick you met at the student org? She might have 3 close friends and 2 of them are attractive and single. As for talking to college students on the street, you can always ask them an innocent but relevant question to gauge their receptiveness. "Where is the best place to get pizza around he…

Problem is, you can't predict dead bedrooms. The common motif is that the sex life was great (key word: was). Apparently, what happens is after a year or two, the woman all of a sudden does not want to have sex anymore.
/r/seduction01/01/12 04:42 PM

Yes because you can still have fun without penetration. Penetration is one way to have sex.

Do you get defensive and start rationalizing things? Women play the "you're a player" card to gauge your reaction. If you make it a big deal, you might come off as incongruous. You need to respond to that card in player-like fashion, which is to not even answer it.

Confidence is arrogance with manners. Confidence is positive and makes people feel good. Arrogance is negative and makes people feel bad.

You can't really help those who don't want to be helped. It's like putting effort into a kid who won't show up at practice and when he does, he doesn't try his best. Your best bet is to talk to your guy friends who do go out and try to chat up girls, and then just ask them what they'd like for you to do. Then you guys can work out a plan and things should be dandy :)

I love talking to and meeting new people and I'm friendly towards everyone, but whenever people used my name on my nametag to say "Thanks [Name]", all it did was make me self-conscious. "What the-? How did he know my na-, oh. Hmm." It doesn't brighten my day but it DOES tell me that that person is probably the type of person who is trying to actively become a friendlier person by following these tips, which is cool. It's not a bad thing but I don't expect random customers to remember my name and…

Everyone is entitled to their own standards, but Henry's a bit too quick to judge. "If they drink, I'm turned off." How the fuck is that a dealbreaker? "You're smart, kind, caring, beautiful, just fuckin' AWESOME in general... but you got drunk that one time. Nope. Not gonna work out between us." The other standards make more sense. Why would anyone want to be with a girl that's trying to use them? And nobody wants a girl that's dumb enough to be called "stupid" or selfish enough to be called "m…

I've tried. It seems like he is trying to find a perfect girl to marry. Ugh, I know. He is naive and has absolutely zero experience. His standards are incredibly high (all of his crushes are way out of his league) and he makes 101 excuses. He nods and agrees with my statements but then next time I see him, it's back to square one. "Why didn't you do what I told you?" "Oh yeah, blah blah blah. I'll do it next week, I promise!"

No, you're absolutely right. Can't remember where I read it (Predictably Irrational? Influence?) but people will believe you if you big up someone else, even though you're obviously biased. I can try to look this up if you want me to. Law firms would make thr secretary say, "OK, I'm going to transfer you to Mr. So-and-So, who has won this award and has been mentioned as the #1 lawyer in 2011 by Time Weekly." They did a study and they found out... it works.

Oneitis is when you're blind to any negative aspect of the woman. If she stands you up, you accept it. If she doesn't do what she says she's going to do, you say it it's OK. You let her disrespect you because you think she's "the one," and that there is no one else like her. A regular relationship should be that you like the woman, and she has positive qualities, but she's not perfect. You're dating her because she brings you more happiness than sadness, and because you care about her, you're wi…

"Wow.. those guys are so sad, completely unable to make friends outside of their ethnicity." I disagree. Just because someone hangs out with other Asians doesn't mean that he or she is incapable of befriending other races. For example, in high school, the Asian population was about 5% (me being a part of that). In other words, there weren't many Asians at my school. I made lots of friends with black people, white people, brown people, etc. My best friend is Mexican/Salvadorean and my second-best…

Sort of. Do they have Asian food in their fridge? Do their parents cook them Asian food all the time? Do they know all the hangout spots in Chinatown? I don't doubt that there's maybe a few white people who do all Asian things, but it's very rare. Asians hang out together with other Asians, and they know the restaurants, the language, the little Asian things that every Asian family does. Asians my age just know the common tendencies of Asian parents because we've all experienced it firsthand. Mo…

Great post. Social access: cliques and culture make it harder to meet white girls. Let's be honest -- Asians don't participate in white people stuff as much. White people clique together. Asian people clique together. It's harder to date white girls if they're not in your social circle. I agree. In my opinion, it's mostly this. I'm Asian, and I hang around other Asians. Why? It's not a conscious decision, it just sort of happens. Asians do Asian stuff. We like Asian restaurants and we just happe…

I think when you're a virgin, the most important thing in the world is losing your virginity. It validates you as a man ("a woman wants to sleep with me!"); it's a rite of passage that separates the men from the boys. This subreddit can help someone achieve that goal, definitely. But the community in general can be fucking weird sometimes. There's tons of great, insightful reading, but there's also just some crazy shit that I don't really recommend anyone trying. For example, I've seen try-hards…

Women have been reading and studying all this social interaction shit for many, many years. "Seduction" for men is basically Cosmopolitan for men. Like YeOldeThrowaway said: Pick up almost any women's magazine and you'll find a dozen articles on "How to get the Guy" or flirting better or coming across as more desirable. Dating tips, fashion tips, all of these things are becoming more and more mainstream for men by the day. There isn't really a male equivalent of magazines like Cosmoplitan, but w…

I disagree. It's not a serious gift. I think it can be pretty playful. It's kind of tongue-in-cheek, because you're giving a girl a rose, an act that's supposed to be romantic, but it's a frickin' rose made of napkins. It's playful, non-serious, goofy, and just plain fun. I think it can set the tone for the conversation well. It shows that you're interested in her, but you're not taking it too seriously and you're willing to have fun with it.
/r/seduction07/07/11 10:22 PM

It's probably your delivery. Like you said, you probably weren't smooth and that gave away the fact that your lines were unnatural/canned. If she notices even one little thing that's off it can make you look awkward or put her on guard. I'd just keep practicing it until you get it down to a tee.

She's your classmate in a small class, so you don't have to do anything fancy. You see her regularly and it's normal for you to strike up a conversation with her. You could stay in French mode and then ask her out to lunch. This might be fun because it's almost like you two are role-playing - both trying to speak French but somewhat struggling. So the conversation in itself becomes playful (how can it be taken seriously?) Alternatively, you can just ask her to study together. Study dates are alw…

The skill of talking to strangers, being a good conversationalist, making people feel comfortable, spreading love, and otherwise, just being a better person overall, definitely goes way beyond just trying to get with women. A lot of this "PUA" knowledge and insight can help you if you want to become a better salesman, or become more liked by your co-workers, or in this case, getting out of a ticket :)

It's a good exercise in frame control. No matter how awkward you are, no matter how creepy you look, don't walk away. Stand your ground. There's some truth to what you said about the girl leaving. If she is really uninterested, she'll leave. But if she's still there, she's still giving you a chance. I used to work at a call center where I had to convince random people to donate money. If they're still on the line, they're still giving you a chance. Otherwise, they'd simply hang up. Sometimes I t…

Nothing's wrong with you. I think when you first start out, it's all experimental. You're finally seeing what it's actually like, and you're going to be overthinking things and it's going to be a mess. But as you do it more and more, it becomes more automatic and you don't have to think as much. No one goes out there their first time and nails it.

"Nice" is an incredibly ambiguous word. It can mean "courteous" or it can mean "spineless." It can mean "genuine" or it can mean "asexual." What do you think the girls mean when they talk about you?

Good job. I think this "Spaghetti Exercise" can be useful for learning to have fun. I think the #1 killer of game sometimes is that people just take this thing too damn seriously. It's called a game for a reason... it should be fun! I am glad you had a blast ("...fooling around with this line was hilarious and fun"). Life's short - who cares? But why that particular line? It seems a little nonsensical to walk into a clothing store and ask for spaghetti. Were you just trying to mess around? At fi…

It's good to be funny. In fact, it's GREAT if you're funny. Don't be ashamed of having the ability to make people laugh. Perhaps your problem is that you're always saying funny things, so to others, you seem one-dimensional? You don't necessarily want to be "the funniest person" that someone has ever met. What you want to be is the really cool guy that happens to be really funny. Maybe show other aspects of your personality so that people see a range.

Approaching in 20s is better than not approaching at all though. I don't think it's that big of a deal. A lot of people simply psyche themselves out... 3s rule is mainly an exercise to destroy approach anxiety IMO

The best thing about direct game is that it's ballsy... It's bold... It's inherently interesting. How many guys out there actually go up to a girl and tell her straight up what he wants? But the direct opener is just that, an opener. How do you keep this bold energy up? I would've kept the vibe going by being playful and even a little ridiculous. This shouldn't be a normal conversation. She should be intrigued... Instead of reverting back to boring mode by asking her why she is shopping, you sho…

Never joke about death around a girl. No violence, no abusing, nothing like that. Thats what you do with guys. girls dont find it amusing. Yeah, my mistake; that's what I meant to say. How do you feel about that? I respect your opinion. However, I don't understand. I've never come to see any of those signs as "bad." Girls paying for drinks, to me, is a good thing. It's like she's playing a submissive role and gaming YOU. Shaking hands doesn't mean anything, it's how polite people meet each other. I see what you're saying. I didn't like that he "denied" that it was a date. I would rather say "yes, it is a date" as opposed to saying "ehhh I don't consider drinks a date" I probably wouldn't even joke about the fact that it's a date, I'd probably just tell her straight up that it's a date and see what her reaction is. If she's gotten to the point of asking if it's a date, she's vocalizing the dynamics of the relationship and leveling things out so I think you should just be honest for a bit …

First of all, please work on your formatting, this wall of text is very annoying to read. Anyway- In my opinion, it seems as if she's a nice girl. So nice, in fact, that she's telling you right now that she doesn't want to lead you on. I don't think it's a good thing that she asked you "Is it a date?". Usually that means that she isn't interested in you, and if you say "yes," then she'll give you "let's just be friends" talk... This is actually a good thing because 1) you're not emotionally atta…

Start off by complimenting her... be genuine about it. If she's wearing something nice, tell her that you like her dress. Or her nails. Or her boots. Then joke around a lot. Never be too blunt ("I want to fuck you"), but give her hints that you're attracted to her. Look deeply into her eyes. If she's like "haha why are you looking at me like that" just keep looking and say something like "I look at things that are interesting" Sexual innuendo jokes are cool too. Also, commenting and flirting wit…

No something like "It's OK to get wet once in a while" and she says "That's what she said!"

Good job OP! Umbrella really does make kino very easy... I also make sensual jokes about wetness of the rain... Unoriginal but it builds comfort. She gave you her number too so that's a great sign

Why did you eject? I am curious as to how that girl knows about The Game

I like David Wygant, I bought his book Always Talk to Strangers. It's pretty much common sense though

Good advice bro. Some people are so caught up in PUA crap that they get nervous just asking a stranger for what time it is. People are people, talk to them!

IDK, be reasonable I guess? I mean, don't text her too early or too late (unless you know she's awake). Don't text her boring stuff, I think every text you send her should either be flirty or have some sort of purpose towards your next goal - hanging out with her again. If your texts are fun I think she will be happy to receive them. If texting her once or twice a day is "bugging" her then that's probably not a good sign. Usually if girls are into you they give you a big margin of error. They'll…

"I've managed to not fall into the usual habit of calling her the next day to tell her all about how rad I think she is" Don't ever verbalize anything. It kills the "mystery." Although it may seem obvious to both of you that you both like each other, you guys are actually not sure how much you guys are into each other. If you come on too strong too quick, you become seen as too needy and no longer seem worth it. You lose your value. So I'd express interest with her in subtle ways. I'd send her s…

Cure approach anxiety by actually approaching and then not ejecting. Experiment. You are scared because you aren't sure what will happen if you say this or that... well, go all out and purposely offend people as an exercise. Once you do say some crazy shit to a bunch of strangers, you become a lot more confident bc u know it isnt a big deal. Once you're past that then you can just try and see what u do good and what u do bad oh and i didnt read ur post so idk if this post is apporpriate or not

I agree. I see it as a game, like someone else said, like a "staring contest." Once you get over the fear, you start to realize it's not that bad. It really teaches you to slow down and not freak out all the time, cuz when you're anxious it's hard to think and it makes you do things like talk too fast, miss conversational cues, etc. Another exercise that people can do is go to a store and whenever someone asks them "Hi can I help you find something today? you just look at them and don't say anyt…

First of all, why are you talking like you know me? You assume I haven't done this before, when I have. But when I've done it, it was very direct. Basically, VERY direct. No subtlety about it. Day and night, I've done it. They'll either make an excuse and walk away or they will get outraged at what I'm saying and either demand that I go away or they will leave. But then again, I go in very direct. I don't know what kind of game you're spitting but if these chicks "hardly ever" walk away, then th…

No, um, if you're making a girl(s) feel uncomfortable/awkward and you refuse to leave, the wom(ae)n will leave, even if it means walking 10 feet over there to talk about how weird you are. So instead of looking like a creep, you look like a persistent and/or oblivious creep.

Planting isn't that great They'll either tell you (rudely) to leave or they'll be like "yeah... hey I gotta go.. it was nice meeting you bye" and then disappear

So walk around looking smug and conceited?

People who walk around with (an obviously) forced smile creep me out. They just seem so fake. I think it's better to just relax and enjoy life in general, so that you're smiling naturally at more and more things.
