I think it's a bit of conflict with reality earning the pedestal. Women want to be put on a pedestal in theory. They want the guy to love her and only her. In reality men who put women on pedestals are boring, insecure and unattractive. Then again I'm a guy, but that's my way experience. It's a good example of " watch what I do, not what I say".

Can't say I agree. Alienating men have very real consequences. We've already seen some of these consequences in later years as men distance themselves. Refusing accountability also causes a loss of respect. One may argue that, for example, one contributing factor to trump winning the presidency was because the Democrats and Hillary alienated their male voters. the same has been seen in Canada with tredau losing support from the male voters. the because all he talks about are women's issues. Then…

when she's not interested in you Thats the key part though. I completely agree on the dickpicks or catcalling. Never done those, and think only fucktards do. That said, "When she is not interested" is such a diffuse criteria. Especially when the guy is expected to first take initiative to find out if she is interested or not. How can the guy know, if he doesn't ask? And if 30% of the women consider asking to be sexual harrassment, well... Women keep saying "Just accept a no" or "Don't be creepy.…

Definitely exists. But has this movement actively encouraged you to work harder, or change your behavior? My point is that MeToo will be a net loss because nothing good will really come out of it, apart from a few rapist guys getting shitcanned and having their lives ruined. The average woman will be worse off than before.

I resent being constantly told my life is automatically easy because I'm a woman. Not even easier - literally just automatically a cakewalk in which I can just sit and wait for great shit to be given to me. I mean, have you read what people write about white men?

But that's not really fair to him. The article complains about the labels and descriptions people use on him. Nothing of what he uses on himself. He doesn't claim that he is a new thinker. I agree that he isn't particularly new thinking. Noting he says is revolutionary. But that goes for so many other people who talk about self improvement as well. He is popular because he says it in a calm and composed way. Not because he is some new Buddh.

I'd you genuinely think that then there is no way we could have a proper debate so let's agree to disagree

People aren't going to vote for trump because of me too. But they're just not going to vote for the Democrats candidate. Trump didn't win because he was better than hillary. I doubt many swapped from dem to rep. Trump won because hillary aloienated her own voters to he pwhere they couldn't bear themselves to vote for her

I honestly think it will affect it but not in the intended way. First of all, a lot of so-called feminist men have already been revealed to be harassers themselves. These men were probably not even aware they did it and won't change. Then we have the average guys who don't really pick a side. They realise it's a problem but are turned off by the rabid double standards and nuance-less nature of the movement and will just generally just start keeping women at an arms length. Then we have the trash…

Ime, women who try to define masculinity always does so in the way that would personally benefit them the most. Also, women are pretty shitty at male analogy but at least most admit to it.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/07/18 09:25 PM
2

Yes. But all those things are stereotypically female tasks. But there is no word for women who can't do stereotypically male tasks, like changing light bulbs, basic car maintenance, furniture assembly, start a lawn mower etc. It's like mansplaining. It's generally aimed at men when women do "their"stuff but women can be just as bad to men when they clean or raise children.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/07/18 07:14 AM
3

Obviously. I don't disagree. But it's also not hard to change light bulbs and I've had to help women with that.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/07/18 05:44 PM
5

It's definitely an insult and a sexist one at that. While I don't deny that manchildren exist, in my experience women are just as likely to be one. But as always it's been defined as something that primarily affects men. A man who can't cook? Manchild A woman who can't assemble a piece of furniture? Something else.

Yeah I'm not picking a side or defending the TRP view. I'm just noticing the similarities. And really the only major difference in the end is that women are treated as victims by media. Personally I disagree with the TRP view that women are inherently "flawed" as well as the media notion that they are victims. In my experience, TRP blames a lot of mens shortcomings on society but also thinks it's up to these men to actually do something about it. As I think women should about their problems too.…
/r/PurplePillDebate05/07/18 07:41 PM
13

The misogyny on TRP is portrayed as due to “female nature” and is not portrayed as a choice women are making. The misandry on TRP is either portrayed as men making a choice to be laz This is true but I also want to point out that this is similar how media portraits mens issues vs women's issues too. Women's issues are caused by society, mens issues are caused by themselves.

I think the manchild problem is solved by not shaming men for not doing something but instead talking to them. I wouldn't call my gf a woman child if she didn't know or wanted to do something I consider basic knowledge/maintenance. If she doesn't know it's because nobody has taught her. If she doesn't want to then I'd do it and tell her to do something I don't want to. If you call your partner a child behind their back then you're probably a shitty partner.

I don't think that only men should be taught to be tough and to value athleticism. That is something both men and women benefit from. Maybe that makes me part of the problem, according to you, but i don't think any gender should have monopoly on any of the positive traits.

You can always post your own arguments and posts against TRP, you know. I don't care about this strawmanning feminism, but i do think the discussion of raising "Feminist sons" to be an important one. I do believe a lot of feminist mothers, and society in general, have the bad habit of raising boys as if they are "defective" daughters.

True. If i saw that title, i'd expect it to be written by a typical radfem jackass. I'm probably biased because i've seen tons of articles with women bitching about men not being men anymore, and not approaching women etc. But you're right. When you flip it over, it's definitely an accusatory title that would annoy me.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/18 07:43 AM

That's true. But not every single person is a unique individual with no overlap to anyone else. It's perfectly possible to find similarities. I'm admittedly a bit hypocritical about this because i can't stand when people talk about "Men" in a negative way, but it's hard to have a conversation on a topic like this if you have to preface ever pronoun with "I know this doesn't apply to everyone, but" You just kindof have to realize that most people who generalize does it with the full knowledge tha…

Definitely a big overlap, because the women who are single are the same women that either men don't want, or who have ridiculous expectations of men. Feminists often fall in this category.

While i agree with you, i hope you also realize how this pose a problem when the latter can ruin your career for it. It's the "Posioned skittles" analogy all over again, except this time you can die 20 ears after you ate it, and it's considered perfectly legal to poison you.

That men can be tremendously pathetic. And so can women. I browse both manosphere and femosphere subs. After awhile, you realize just how similar they are. In most cases, you can literally take one post, switch the pronouns around, and get to the frontpage on the other.

when exploiting the trust of timid girls with low self esteem who don't know how to say no. Whataboutism, i know, but this doesn't bother me much more than when girls abuse timid guys with low self esteem for attention and money. I don't approve of it, and the "exploiter" is a prick, but in the end the sucker who gets played is the one with the biggest responsibility.

It's possible to disagree with his actions and still be sympathetic to them. And yes, if yous husband refused to work, or spent all his free time playing video games while ignoring you (Which i'd say is a pretty good comparison to gaining 130 lbs), then i'd have sympathy if you cheated on him. However, one of the most interesting threads here on PPD i've ever read also compared the response to people who had cheated on AskWomen vs AskMen. The men pretty much collectively accepted the fact that w…

> Marriage is about sticking it out through rough times. That is still not an excuse to just say "fuck it" and gain 130 pounds. Do you think that "Sticking it through rough times" applies if your husband quits his job and refuse to work as well? I agree that cheating is a shitty thing to do. But i'd say it's about the same as locking her husband in a sexless marriage while she just completely lets herself go.

Sure, but that is why BMI have a pretty wide weight range between underweight and overweight. Nobody is "Naturally obese." The only way to get obese is to eat too much.

There is absolutely no way i'd stay with my wife if she gained 130 pounds. Or even half that. It's the equivalent of a guy just saying "fuck it, i''m living off food stamps for the coming years"

That doesn't really make sense if you compare the male vs female version though. Both end up with very few/none left. Also, at no point except the first question is the girls own value evaluated, so if they overestimate themselves is impossible to tell from the video itself.

The weight is only "too low" in the sense that most westerners are overweight. It's a perfectly reasonable weight-range, imo.

45-55 is not ridiculous though. That's a healthy weight for the majority of women. Don't know about the height percentages, but it does seem to apply to most women. Or well, that's what i thought before i saw the video. The most off-putting of the demand is that he spells it out. Which is as off-putting when girls do it.

It's a big surprise that nobody left for the dude's selfie. Guess this ass face and ass haircut is seen as attractive to koreans? Don't know anything about korean styles etc. but i think the reason nobody left is a mix between girls not wanting to seem shallow, realizing it was a shitty angle (Some pointed out this, and he was right infront of them), and different hairstyles being popular. But even though, I do find the dude's standards super high for a dude, while the girls standards are consid…

Yes, i did get the same feeling from that part. The girls on the other hand knew what they were asking for when they specified height, but they didn't realize just how many guys that didn't live up to it.

Your description is disingenuous because Girl #2 was left with 1 guy. It was disappointing to see how many guys left after her selfie. She seems very aware of how her preferences shrank the pool. She overestimated her final match number (5/40) by 4. The way i interpreted it was that they stopped asking for requirements when there was only 1 left. For the guy they specific which question was the last one. But maybe you're right. I've edited the main post. I probably would have left because of the…

My point is that right now this is you: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jZuktUfF0nE You have no idea if the people who say these things are pathetic whiteknights, or "redpill" like you. Because you're all just anonymous usernames. But you've decided that you're justified and they're not.

Most people who complain about their dating pool are men Just Bumble.com has more followers than TRP, Incels and MGTOW combined. And that's literally all they ever do. There are tens of thousands of examples of women complaining about their dating pool. They may not whine that "Women are stupid" but they do say that "Men are immature" or "Men are not good enough for me and what i deserve" etc.

Do women express that kind of vitriolic disgust towards fat men? I've literally never experienced that. I think this is a poor equivalency, because men and women value different things. Ask how women treat unemployed or low-income men instead. The times in my own life when I've felt truly disgusted with a man, like 'can't even look him in the eye' put off, it's been about weakness, not ugliness. Yes, this is also a good example. Personally, i find that if you go with the assumption that for ever…

Nobody knows who made the Venus and nobody knows why. Some think like you do, and in my experience those are the same people who want to think that that was how people viewed obesity. I've heard some speculate that it's made by a woman from her own perspective of her body. In the end, it's pure speculation to claim that this body-shape was "Celebrated." Fat has, for a long period of time, been associated with wealth, when food was scarce. The same as pale skin. Either way, what people used to li…

I've never met a fat person who wasn't "working on it", even 12 months later when they haven't lost a kg. Sure, it doesn't happen overnight, but at the same time talking about how you're losing weight means absolutely nothing until you can present some hard numbers over an extended period of time.
