Years ago, I looked at the credits/courseload of a US PharmD degree compared to the Canadian BSc in pharmacy at the time (4 years + 1st year science as a prereq). They were almost identical, except the US PharmD was spread out over an extra year or two.

Yeah, a logic/philosophy course is a good choice for an elective. Pretty easy but interesting. Other useful "Arts" electives I took were Technical/Business writing, Greek/Latin terminology (handy for biological/medical terms), and Biopsychology (Arts because it's psychology, but overlapped a lot with other bio/pharm courses)

The main effect of female oral contraception is to prevent ovulation. (There's not much point in releasing an egg if you're already pregnant.) Thickened cervical mucus and prevent of implantation are relatively minor effects. But yeah, there's no "normal" circumstance where a man wouldn't be producing viable sperm. I've never seen Viagra (or Cialis, or Levitra) covered. Ever. It can be covered for a rare heart condition - it was originally intended as a heart med, until it was found to affect certain other blood vessels - but not very often. On the other hand, most oral contraceptives are fairly cheap.
