Nope, you just hope they are, which is something completely different.

This makes sense. Tbh I also thought homicide was murder and manslaughter accidental killing. In that case it would’ve been ridiculous, but this is reasonable. Quite confusing. Now I also learned the difference with second degree murder and manslaughter. https://vindicatelaw.com/felony/murder-homicide/

I don’t think that’s the prevailing view. Nor do I think that’s a place for intellectual debate. Lastly I think even with proof you’d just get banned there because Reddit is an echo chamber.

Then you’re not having an educated debate… which I thought you were talking about.

Proving the absence of something (men are aggressive) is a lot easier than proving the presence of something. If someone is going to make such a statement, you will need to ask them for references if you’re having an educated debate. Not trying to scramble to find the opposite which will be harder.

Why is the burden of proof with you when they’re the ones making a claim? What do they base such all statement on?

No it has quite some useful functions and can lead to a lot of issues.

Because if it’s not reversibel it’s not a severe AE. Had hoped you meant that otherwise it would be way off suggesting it doesn’t have negligible side effects. Like you did.

Wait, there is not more causes for why people get pregnant when having sex? Yeah there is. If you do it without vaginal intercourse for example your chances of pregnancy are 0. Then there is tons of other methods you can use to reduce the chances to practically 0. Whatever, change it to refined sugars. Which is the number 1 cause for obesity. No refined sugars reduces chances for the average person also to nearly 0. Don’t want sports injuries? Don’t do sports. Don’t want to die in a car crash? D…

The pill does have negligible irreversible side effects. It’s a common misunderstanding that it doesn’t. DVT is extremely rare and the reason why some versions have been taken of the market. Moreover, DVT is more common in people who are pregnant, so effectively still reducing the risk. It’s a bit like when people were complaining that there were extreme rare cases of endocarditis with one of the Covid vaccines while the chances of endocarditis were way higher if you would get infected when not …

The line is: “sex doesn’t feel as good”. And plenty of men who say that certainly don’t insist on doing it without. Of course you want to be safe, but it doesn’t make it less true.

It also the pressure that the condom causes. And yes, it definitely changes the feeling which isn’t compensated by tingly gel. No one says they can’t nut with it, but that sex is less good. Which… anyone who’s done both can admit. And that’s besides how it affects visibly or the mood. Trust me, people (including women) don’t opt to do it without condoms (especially couples) because they want to brag or something or they just “make up” that it affects the experience.

Exactly. I agree the entire article reeks of misandry as she’s trying to blame men (once more) for supposedly not carrying their weight in a relationship and suggesting that they still won’t if they had the option. But where the braindead author is wrong, and something that seriously happens A LOT and is conveniently ignored by the author is pregnancy-traps. The fact that she doesn’t mention that and writes it from that perspective says enough. Similarly to the pill, it’s not the couples that us…

That’s only the case for people who are ill where the disease complications outweigh the side effects. This isn’t the case for drugs designed for healthy individuals.

I’ll do you one better, that is a requirement for EMA and FDA approval.

Definitely, but I’ll take my chances. Which I’ll reduce significantly, especially if she’s on the pill too.

Condoms suck. They take away a lot of the sensation. Everyone knows that. You thought people didn’t use them cause they “forgot”?

Sure because there aren’t millions of people who have sex without getting kids. It’s not a 1:1 consequence, that’s why it’s bad advice. It’s like saying: do you want to be obese? No? Well here’s an idea, stop eating chocolate all together.

Nah, it’s the other way around. I don’t trust women who say I’m on the pill it’s okay. Now at least I can control it from my end. It’ll be a market catering to relatively high value men who don’t want to get their dates pregnant. Which is quite the market.

A lot of kids are born by accident. This invention will massively reduce birth rates. No more pregnancy traps or accidentally getting pregnant because the pill didn’t work in the end.

You have no idea how concerning it is clearly if you’ve just slept with a woman and (even is she’s on the pill) says: I think I’m late. The pill isn’t a 100% effective and neither is my trust in her taking it. This isn’t invented to distribute the burden, although some may want to do that for their partner, but to give men back some control over pregnancy-traps. Don’t forget that they get to decide to either have the baby or not. And the judge will make you pay for it regardless if the woman all…

For me it’s usually not overt but very subtle. It’s just that suddenly they’re colder, less smiley, and even try to act more “dominant” (which I suppose is independent in their head). I haven’t changed my behavior, just remain friendly. And then they become very inquisitive. And when they’ve found something they can judge or pin you on they’ll mention it as if psycho-analyzing. Like there must be something wrong with you for not needing/wanting a relationship.

Absolutely, not a model but certainly more handsome than average and in good shape. I make over 6 figures (pounds, not dollars) at age 33 and it’s growing exponential. Actually I notice that women become slightly negative and hostile once they realize you’re not looking to date. Not sure if you’ve experienced that? I feel like once they realize you’re single, especially when they’re in a relationship, they become slightly hostile and want to find something wrong with you. Possibly just to avoid …

You literally wrote “if prostitution were legal dumping would go down and women would not have the control they have.” Followed by how all these guys would now have another option. And that they would rather go to a prostitute than date a woman that treats them like an atm. And I’m telling you all that is nonsense. So please, just learn to accept it. You should read the incel post that was put here recently, and then check out the stats on how they tend to overestimate the value of looks and mon…

Yet it doesn’t work as you think. Like I said, most places women expect men to take them on nice expensive dates, and prostitution doesn’t solve for that. Because most men look for love, and not a bought fake version of it. Sorry to burst your bubble.

No I’m telling you that I lived in a country where prostitution is legal and everyone lives the same. And yea, I lived there for 3 years. What you describe is not different where I’m from, and there its legal. And those others don’t know shit. I was born and raised where it was legal, lived in the US and now in the UK. It’s not different. Women expect the man to pay and not take them to Macdonald’s. They might think $100 is a lot, but it’s not when you look at US salaries.

No it does. You say that if prostitution would be legal it would change the dynamic between men and women. And I’m telling you it doesn’t.

It’s like saying: a woman’s sexual attention has no valor because they give it to delinquents, teenagers, old men with a foot in the grave too. Moreover use it as currency to get their way with authority.

Yeah you’re wrong, and you’re American which is why you can’t look beyond your own borders. The classic ignorance we see all the time and that gives the US a bad rep. It’s legal in my country, and it doesn’t play out as you think. The majority of men are looking for love, acceptance, someone that cares for them. A prostitute can’t give them that. Sexual release they can get from their hand if they wanted to and porn is legal here too.

Multiple reasons, but the main ones are: Women share (and don’t mind or ignore). The Pareto principle applies here so some guys get a lot of different women. Men have a higher sex drive, so naturally more inclined to seek physical companionship. Women have it less and can also do with good friendship which can even be supplied by other women. Women are less lonely. Because men get taught at an early age (as well partially biological) to not confide in others on an emotional level they tend to ha…

And then there is France 😭: DNA paternity testing is solely performed on decision of a judge in case of a judiciary procedure in order either to establish or contest paternity or to obtain or deny child support.[19] Private DNA paternity testing is illegal, including through laboratories in other countries, and is punishable by up to a year in prison and a €15,000 fine.[20] The French Council of State has described the law's purpose as upholding the "French regime of filiation" and preserving "t…

Yeah and then claim they have wear make up because of the patriarchy. Rather than “you get to wear make up without being judged”. It’s like hearing them complain about oral anti-conception even though there have been few to no inventions that have contributed to emancipation. Then don’t use it, I don’t care.

It does look more like his. I was just flabbergasted and tried to laugh it off uncomfortably. She said it wasn’t 2016 anymore so you shouldn’t do Movember. To me it just became very apparent that any attention to this space is needed, even if it’s something silly like growing a mustache. The discrimination is unreal. And the men siding with it are so weak, just to get some approval it seems.

Sorry, wasn’t aware it was the 19th. Like I said it’s not something I was very concerned with before. Will look up the APA post. Might be worth mentioning that after this ridiculing of men’s issues they immediately took the opportunity to promote the women leadership movement. Asking jf men wanted to join as well to support. All I could think at that moment was… the majority of the leadership is women… and you’re ridiculing men’s health/suicide issues and then ask for more money power status for…

The problem is that bringing that there is a belief that bringing it up is done to marginalize women’s issues, rather than it being an issue in itself.
