Not OP (and also not black-pilled), but I have been raised as a feminist and grew up in feminist spaces and my experience with feminist women is what lead me to red pill content. I saw most of them choose terrible partners and also my own ex turned out to have cheated on me with a stereotypical toxic masculine guy. I can even back this up with my post history, 7-9 years back I was taking pro-feminist positions on this side (including the purple pill subreddit, even ShitRedditSays), but life expe…

It is shocking how many men are woefully incompetent fathers, who are too lazy and selfish to change a diaper, or get up to feed during the night, or sacrifice any of their leisure time to play with their children. I completely agree with that. But isn't it also shocking how many women choose partners where it's painfully obvious that this will be the case? Women are contributing to the problem by preferring assertiveness in men over caring qualities.

How old are you, if I might ask?

Age of consent is only 14 in germany when the partners is younger than 21. Else it is 16, but you will be punished hardly if you are found guilty in exploiting the teenager. When it comes to ONS and such the age of consent is effectively 18. The other rules are just to not make teen relationsships illegal. At least that's how I always understood them.

You are right. That is why I think that men should be aiming for LTRs in their 20s too, especially if they want children. But many women pursue short term relationships in their 20s and they also pursue relationships with older guys too, in some cases. So as a guy in your early twenties you aren't able to easily find women willing to commit.

I disagree. The reason why age matters is precisely that there are many things to consider, so young age gives you a lot of time to figure things out in a relationship. With a 20 year old gf you can wait 8-10 years before having children, with a 30 year old not so much. And this time before having children is very important, at least.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/01/23 01:52 PM

It depends if you want to have children. If you do not want to have children, yes there is nothing wrong with a 30+ woman. But if you want to have children the time frame for doing that is very limited, compared to let's say a 20 year old. And I think most men that want to have a family find it highly preferable to have a long relationship before having children, because having children will put the relationship under enormous stress in many cases. So it's good to establish a strong foundation b…

I'm blue pill on most issues, but red pill when it comes to the age thing. I am 26 years old and would still be willing to date women my age. But even as I grow older I would only date "post wall woman" if they are childfree and want to remain childfree, at least generally speaking. I don't want to start a family with a woman I only had 2-3 years relationship with.

Do you deep down see women as equals? Yes. I think there are some differences between the sexes on average, but that doesn't make one of the sexes inferior or superior. Especially since you can't really say much on an individual level about a person only knowing their sex. Do you think women and men can connect intellectually and that such a connection is the basis for a relationship? Yes. But I agree with the Red Pill in that online dating creates an unhealthy dynamic which leads many women to …

Anecdotal evidence, but my father got a child in his 60s with his new wife in the 30s. Don't think that scenario would work with the sexes reversed (excluding extreme outlier cases).

No matter what gender you tell the AI you are, it will always focus on confidence as the key factor to attractiveness. I personally think that's delusional.

Query: I am an ugly woman. How can I increase my attractiveness to men? Reply: The most important thing to remember is that beauty lies within. That being said, there are some things that you can do to increase your attractiveness to men. Work on improving your confidence. Confidence is incredibly attractive, and it’s the first thing people notice. So make sure to take care of yourself, develop a positive attitude, and remind yourself that you are beautiful. I agree and I think that is true for men too. Our current society doesn't really create an incentive structure to focus on creating a family. Instead, it incentives both genders to focus on careers. If that is a good thing is up for debate though.

I personally know plenty of women in their 20s who have relationships with 30 and even 40 year old guys. I don't know a single guy who has dated a 10 year older woman. That being said, age gap relationships are the exception, not the rule.

I just looked up the data from the Australian Bureau of Statistics. They count who filed for divorce. Anyways, the absolute numbers for divorce applicants by sex in 2021 are listed: Male: 14,396 Female: 14,106 Joint: 27,739 So where did you get your 80% from again?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/01/23 01:00 PM
1

What stat are you referring to then?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/01/23 11:25 AM
2

No, my father was the one who said he wanted the divorce, my mother did not want it. My mother could have been the one contacting the lawyer to file for divorce - I don't know that. My point is that the person initiating the divorce and filing for divorce are not always the same.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/01/23 10:38 AM
1

Yes. My mother for example was glad she had a job when she and my father divorced. And that one was initiated by my father (even though it might still have been my mother actually filing for the divorce, which would influence the statistic in your favor). It doesn't matter anyways who initiates the divorce. It is very likely that a marriage will not last nowadays, so you need to be prepared for that scenario.

If they don't accept it, tough luck. I know what my preferences are. I would rather have no children than children with a woman I don't know for that long. I am 26, so at the moment, I would currently still date women my age.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/12/22 10:54 PM
5

No, I don't want to have 10 years to decide. I commit from the start, but I want to have 10 years of having fun & travelling and developing a deep relationship. I just don't want to jump into having kids with a woman I barely know.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/12/22 10:40 PM

I am 26. So I would still be open to date women my age, but I know that I am not going to date women over 30, even as I grow older. But to be clear: I would 100% prefer to have a girlfriend my age now, since I am not a fan of age gap relationships. My father got a child at the age of 60 (with a wife in her 30s) so I think I will manage.

As a bluepill guy with the opposite view: It's not about attractiveness. It's about the ability to have children after 8-10 years of a LTR (which is what I personally would wish for).

It wouldn't really influence my judgement of the man I think. There are guys that are fine with partners having a high n count (there were times in my life where I would have been okay with it, too). I don't really judge women because of their N count either. It only influences my personal judgement of them as a potential partner, but besides that I really do not care how many guys you have slept with.

I was raised with feminist values by my mother and I think it contributed to me being not successful with women. It didn't teach me how women actually want to be approached. Most women like assertive men and being overtly respectful of boundaries isn't a sign of assertiveness. Most women do not like the guy that asks "would you be fine with us kissing now?" but prefer the guy who just moves in for the kiss (of course given that they find the guy attractive all things considered). The fact that m…

It is very much like dating. You need to have a good resume that show experience and skills. And that will decide if you get invited to present yourself. And then personality becomes very important. If you are a socially awkward looser you will have a harder time with a bad resume then a charismatic person with a bad resume.

Yeah, so what is your point here? This only means that hunting for a job will even take a greater toll at finances and emotional well being if you suck at it.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/12/22 09:51 PM

I didn't mean to attack you. My point was more about the fact that if you suck at job-hunting it will take a toll at your finances and emotional well being too.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/12/22 07:34 PM

Same, glad to see I am not the only one. Maybe it's what growing up with the internet made of us?? Not sure. But I am extremely socially inept as well and I constantly feel like an alien in social situations. I can perform well in situations like delivering lectures (or other business situations) where the roles are clear cut. So it's not like it's social anxiety either. It's just social situations without clear rules (like going to a bar or parties) which I really do not understand at all.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/12/22 03:40 PM

That's probably because you are a failure at dating and not a failure at job-hunting. (I say that as a man in that very position)

I would say I am undateable. I have always been somewhat socially awkward, which usually is not really desirable to women. Nah, I would take a girl that can't provide for herself financially for sure, if she's a good partner otherwise. I think a lot of men would agree, also some because they like the dependency it introduces to the relationship (which is morally questionable for sure, but let's be honest).

Can you explain to me how leftists use the same rhetoric concerning abortions and vaccinations? Because I really do not see it and I don't think you have explained that (nor do I think this was even what your own joke was about).
/r/PurplePillDebate08/12/22 06:25 PM

So how exactly is this leftists opposing and supporting something with the exact same reasoning? What you just showed in your comment that conservatives and leftists use similar reasoning when arguing against choice in the respective topics.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/12/22 06:12 PM
1

Are you on drugs? This was never about "opposing and supporting something with the exact same reasoning". It was about the irony of being pro-choice in once case and anti-choice in another. Or alternatively, being anti-patriarchy in one case and pro-patriarchy in another. And me pointing out that the conservatives are doing the same, but just the other way around. Leftists don't oppose free choice concerning vaccinations and support choice concerning abortions with the exact same reasoning. Wher…

You: "Look at these dumb lefties saying choice good and choice bad in these two topics" Me: "But don't the conservatives just do the opposite: say choice bad and choice good on these two topics?" You: "Well yeah see the two choices are actually different when I talk about them. When the leftists talk about them they are actually the same and the leftists are hypocrites."
/r/PurplePillDebate08/12/22 03:00 PM

In the one case we are talking about the choice of putting ones own bodily autonomy above the life of a fetus, which is strictly dependent to that very body, compared to the choice of putting ones own bodily autonomy above the hypothetical death of potentially multiple persons, which exist independent to ones own body. These are two different issues.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/12/22 12:16 PM
1

Yes, I am glad you noticed that those are false equivalences, because you were the one who equated them in the first place. You equated the choice of getting an abortion to the choice of getting a vaccine. These choices are not the same thing, for the exact same reasons you stated. Arguing that there is a contradiction of being pro-choice in one case and against choice in the other is simply a bad argument.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/12/22 11:23 AM
1

You know that these contradictions always go both ways though? Conservatives don't care about "my body, my choice" when it comes to pregnancy, but suddenly care about it when it comes to vaccinations. Conservatives don't care about feminism, but suddenly do when it can be used against muslims.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/12/22 09:52 AM
1

Yes, because I regret getting vaccinated three times. I don't think it was necessary for young, healthy men like me to get vaccinated. I don't really buy into the conspiracy theories either, so I don't think the vaccines are necessarily harmful (my health has not deteriorated or anything), but the evidence in favor of the vaccines to me is not satisfactory at all. And I think they have negative side effects in rare cases, especially for older folks. My mother personally knows three people that "…

I am not married, but my plan is as follows: Don't marry before five years into the relationship, sign a prenup (that you both agree on) and always take responsibility and care concerning your own well being (including mental health and physical fitness), even whilst in the marriage. I would not marry because my girl wants it. I marry because I want it. I want a partner that is commited on spending her life with me and marriage is a sign of that commitment.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/22 11:01 AM

One reason that is often overlooked in this discussion: I want to have kids. But I also want to have a relationship of 5-10 years before having kids. I am 26 years now and would date girls my age, but I don't think I will date girls older than maybe 28 in the future even as I grow older. I would love to find my partner now, but so far I had no success (1 girlfriend for 4 years that cheated on me). Also, a few girls my age are dating older guys in the 30s or 40s which makes me think that maybe it…

There are many people who think that it is inherently wrong to be a slut. So I just wanted to say that I am not one of them. I don't judge women for it, just like I wouldn't judge a guy for being 5'4'', as you said. I could easily be friends with a slut, but I would not date them in most cases.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/12/22 07:41 AM

In this very hypothetical scenario I would surely do it. I don't think there is anything inherently wrong with being a slut. The only reason I wouldn't date one is that I do not want to be cheated on.

I believe that the fetus is human, but that the bodily autonomy of the woman is a human right and that it is the higher level right compared to the right to live of the fetus. Correct me please, but as I understand you your argument is that the fetus has the higher level right, because it is there with no fault at its own. Just like I am justified in killing in self-defense if I am brought in that situation with no fault on my own. Am I getting you right there? So let me check your philosophical…
/r/PurplePillDebate01/12/22 01:00 PM
6

Arguing that abortion isn't murder because the unborn is not human is a strawman though, at least when it comes to my own position. I do think that the unborn is human. My line of reasoning would more be along the lines of that I think that every person has authority over their own body, which means a woman is not obliged to provide her own body to the survival of a fetus.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/11/22 09:52 PM
15

Again, you are confusing morality and legality. I think abortions should be legal, generally. I don't think abortions are morally right or wrong (or "OK") per se. It really depends on the case, but I think it should be legal in all cases, even the ones I disapprove of morally.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/11/22 08:20 PM
19

Just because I want abortions to be legal doesn't mean I think all reasons for abortion are morally right. I think aborting a child because of their race or gender is clearly morally wrong, but I don't really think there is a way to outlaw that, besides either banning abortion completely or banning screening for the sex of the fetus before birth - both bad solutions in my opinion.

I think most women, even here, have not deeply engaged with red pill theory and thus only have a rough & wrong idea what it is. But why would they engage with it? Most red pill content is clearly targeted at men and very often very misogynist. There really isn't much into it for women to engage with it, for the most part.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/11/22 05:49 AM

The few comments here that concede that the red pill made predictions all seem to conflate the Red Pill with traditionalism. I do not think that the two are the same, really.

As someone with great self-control I don't think women hate me. To hate me, in the way you described, they would have find me to be desirable in the first place, which they don't (apparently). Also; I rarely use porn. I don't see why you think that's something men with self control would do.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/11/22 08:27 PM

I really do not get this debate. If you are not fine with your partner watching porn, tell them and if they do not care to respect your preference than you are free to react to that. Why is this so difficult?

Yes, but I don't buy into the Red Pill argument that women necessarily love assholes. Your average chad doesn't have to invest in personality, because his looks are enough. This is the same for women too - if you're beautiful enough you can afford to be a bitch. If you are the ugly duckling you need to invest in personality to get a partner. When it comes to men assholery also comes of as self-confidence and assertiveness which women desire in men. But I think the ideal partner that women desire…

Yeah, I agree this is a misconception that some RPers (and especially incels) have. They extrapolate from the fact that good looks help to find partners (especially short term partners) to the claim that looks are all that matters to women, which is false. My point isn't that women are shallow. In fact, I claim they are less shallow than men. But women have usually more options in the dating market than men have, so for men to stand out they have to do more than just "be respectful". I personally think that from the perspective of most women it might look like "being respectful" is enough, because that's what is important to them after having already filtered out guys because of their low social status, low self-confidence and bad looks.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/11/22 07:20 PM
4

I agree that looks are not that important as some men make it up to be. As I said, I think men care more about physical appearance than women do. But social status is extremely important, just as is self-confidence. And working on your looks in terms of getting fit/working out help you to achieve that and will help you a lot on the dating market.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/11/22 06:57 PM
12

Even as a bluepill guy I disagree. As a man, if you want to make yourself attractive to women you need to stand out from other men in as many ways as possible. It is hard work. A good personality helps for sure, but good looks are important, physical health is important and social status is very important. And all of these are achieved with hard work and a nice personality alone will not make the cut. This is also because women look for many different things in men at the same time, while men ar…

My girlfriend of four years, who self-identified as feminist, cheated on me with the typical toxic-masculine chad. I only got to know about it two years after the fact. I still consider myself blue-pill because I don't have any resent against women whatsoever and hold egalitarian values. But this experience and others in the relationship made me realize that there is something to the points that RP makes.

Most of the theories can't really be empirically tested, yet are treated by some as if there proven facts. It's important to keep these limitations in mind. In many cases ev-psych consists of post-hoc explanations. But I am positive there will be much progress in the sciences in the future.

Interesting, I would think that men appreciate fashion advice. I surely would! And I would also think that men are not as easily hurt by such comments, but I am sure you made your experiences. But the things you mentioned sound more like identities then fashion choices. I don't think I could really pull of any of the styles you mentioned, because it's just not who I am. So as I said, it helps to have knowledge of who you want to be and what you want to project on the outside. I was interested in…

Your story also shows though that it is helpful to know what kind of person you want to be. Question @ OP: Do you think attractiveness is something that men can work on? Or, if you made that experience yourself, do you think your ex-bf could've done something to be more attractive? (Wear better clothes, put more effort into looks, work out, work on personality)? If yes, wouldn't it be the best option to communicate the lack of attraction or try to find ways to motivate the other person to change? If the answer is no it's of course a hopeless endeavour.

lol, thanks for your replies. Honestly in that case, I don't care about the exact n-count so much as the fact if the girl is focused on LTRs, which seems to be the case in your case. I wouldn't directly ask about it directly, that would be pretty tone-deaf and inappropriate. But I still would piece together the pieces after some time. It's not something I would necessarily break up over either, but it would contribute to my idea of you as a person and as a potential partner in a negative way. And to all the people that recommend lying about it - I would definitely break up if I wound out that my girlfriend lied to me about it with the intention of deceiving me.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/10/22 05:33 AM

I still have some houseplants that my ex gifted me and so does she. Even though our breakup was ugly (she cheated) and I have no contact to her, I still like to maintain the plant. And yeah, it reminds me of the relationship, but more of the better times. I think throwing away stuff is the worst option, honestly. /r/PurplePillDebate21/10/22 07:29 AM

The compensation is never easily quantifiable, but I think it is fair to give a huge compenation. Now if it was the other way around, she cheated on him, then she should get no money even if she is a housewife. That's just what I think would be right. As I stated otherwhere in the thread the best way to deal with this with a prenub. The best is to agree with your partner before marriage on the conditions when cheating happens.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/10/22 06:51 PM
19

Well, both arguments (having contributed to his wealth and being cheated on) are arguments in her favor. But I think even if he cheated on her as a housewife, after multiple years of marriage, she would deserve a lot of money. Housewifes too contribute to men success in ways that are not easily quantifiable and they too would deserve compensation for getting wronged, in my opinion.

As I stated otherwhere I think prenups with infidelity clause basically are the solution to this. You can find a legally binding with your partner before you get married.

You're not forced to marry. Also, the problem exists for men and women, as this case clearly shows. A prenup is not just for men, it can be good for both partners.

If they don't agree with cheating, why wouldn't they agree with it? He did not broke up with her, but he cheated and I think that deserves to have consequences and it makes sense that they are that high based on his wealth.

You should sign a prenup with terms you both agree on. E.g. you get money if he cheats, but you don't get money if you cheat.

I have a different view on that and would consider myself 'sane'. I am currently 26 years old and would love to have a girlfriend my age. But if I was 35, I still think my ideal age would be younger than 30. The reason for this is, that I want to have children, but I want to have them with a partner that I had a long relationsship with. I can't have a 10 year relationship with a 35 old women and expect to start a family with her when she's 45. Again, I would ideally prefer this to happen now wit…

Personally speaking, I would like to have a 5-10 relationship with my girl before we get children/start a family. So that is the reason I would prefer my girlfriend to be younger, even though I would not say I fetishize age. I am 26 so now I would be fine dating someone my age. But if I get older and still don't have a gf, I would for sure prefer younger women. But I would love to grow old with someone together. Edit: Anyone wants to explain the downvotes? I agree with your premise. They do not need to justify their life choices to anyone and they should have fun. I would say the same for men aswell. BUT: women should be aware of the consequences of their life choices. I would add "not being able to say no" to the list of things that are toxic feminine. I mean, it's a problem a lot of women claim to have. First of all, women hurt themselves with this. So it's literally toxic to themselves. But it's also bad on a societal level, because it benefits people that disrespect boundaries compared to people that do respect them.

Yeah, as I said I consider myself libertarian. I agree that the right has similar double standards, but I was speaking about my personal experiences. My post was not intended to be offensive. My point was more about pointing to the general fact that when red pillers speak about women as a group and the benefits they seem to have, they often only mean women younger than 30. Many women older than 40 many will tell you of the experience of feeling "invisible" compared to their 20s. You don't think that's the case, or what?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/09/22 04:35 AM

Do you think this is true for women of all ages? I think this is only true for women younger than 30 (of course there are some women who are still very hot in their 30s or 40s). Adding to this, in my experience the women who say "I stay single forever" are usually 30+.

Yeah, I definitely agree that RP/PP guys are not better for women. But I also think that RP guys try to adapt to what they perceive as women's mate choices to increase their chances: they try not to be nice and be more assertive/showing social status. Red Pill probably directly disengages men from partaking in mental load/emotional labor (because it makes you a beta in their view). "Pick better" obviously is a one-sided response. I agree with your position, but I want to add my own unpopular opinion about women adding to this: I think the complaint about emotional labor/mental load reflects upon women's mate choices. I would think that agreeable/sensitive men are probably better at sharing mental load. But most women prefer assertive men over those traits, which is not a good indicator of sharing mental load - quite the opposite. Simple, but true answer. But I think there is a point to be made that women enable cruelty by men to some extent. For example by prefering aggressive & dominant men to the nice counterpart. In my personal experience, women that say they have trouble "saying no" (which is the case for most women I know) usually are able to "say no" to considerate/nice men, but are not able to stand up for themselves when it comes to demanding/dominant men. So these are two ways I see in which men get rewarded for…

I think men's attractiveness improve somewhat, while women's attractiveness declines somewhat, but both should not be overstated. TRP overstates the positive effect of age for men, to some degree. Again, which of your claims was proven by the tinder experiment? It just shows that women want to date attractive men and you definitely would find the same if the sexes were reversed.

Yes women and men are into different things. But if the woman is a 10/10 she will have no problem finding a partner for marriage, even if she has a criminal history. You are deluded if you think otherways. Also, the picture did not show marriages or marriage proposals, but tinder matches. My original argument stands in any case: you could replicate the same (meaning tinder matches) as a hot woman. So what of what you are saying now was proven by the tinder experiment?

English is not my native language. But I'm glad you got the idea. No, men will try to *fuck* a criminal, hot woman. Not marry her. Women are not necessarily looking for marriage material on Tinder. And of course many men would marry a criminal, hot woman, if they got the possibility.
