Wow! Three hours a day to do what you want sounds wonderful. I'm a work from home father of two. I get MAYBE an hour a day to do what I want, which usually ends up being a nap while the toddler is napping. I get one day a week to leave the house for two to three hours, because my wife is cool enough to take the reins so it can happen. Living the dream. 🤷‍♂️

Unfortunately, nothing makes people like that think twice. They go back to their "yes group", refuel and double down on the next person.

If some douche bag walked up to my wife and I, and made some sh*tty remark about her role in our relationship, you better believe I would be all over it. I expect her to do the same if the situation were reversed. Your girlfriend should've openly had your back. This involved her too.

Not that I disagree with any aspect of your comment, but women rarely speak that way to each other privately, let alone publicly. They aren't silent because it secretly bothers them. They're silent because that's not how women generally speak in reference to getting laid or sexual activity. However, women do speak out against sexual assault against other women, and only for other women. That's why you don't see them saying "disgusting pervert" or anything else to chastise the female pedophile. T…

The bitter words of jaded cynics should never be taken as anything more than just that. This person is miserable with their own basic biology and therefore offers no valid opinion or wisdom on how I should feel about myself or anyone else.

What kind of repugnant sht is this? How the fck does this pud know what makes men or women cheat? Are people supposed to sympathize with cheating men based on this? I hate these generalized memes. To whoever made this meme, stop stereotyping others with your personal sh*tty habits. If you're not ready to settle down, stop dragging her along.

Exactly. That's still a lot of blatant disregard and lack of empathy. Calling this "cherry picking" and calling it "progress" sounds more like a downplay of the situation. None of that needed to be said at all.
/r/MensRights29/09/19 05:20 PM

So if a woman who was sexually assaulted by her FIL made this OP, and only a few people were telling her to "get over it", is it still cherry picking? Is it still "progress" when most comments are sympathetic of her experience? If so, does that imply most people were not sympathetic to female victims of sexual assault in recent years? Mostly the few years before the feminist flair up in mainstream media. I don't know how much I would call this progress, man. Having that many people down play suc…

"Blame the patriarchy" you guys. Isn't that right? Because if women were the majority and "in charge", everything would be rainbows.

Serpent and the Rainbow! I saw that movie when I was less than ten and that scene mortified me. I never knew the name until this post. I don't remember the premise, so I don't know of this comparison applies, but Seven has the scene where the dude has to have sex with the prostitute while wearing the bladed dildo. Granted, it was just more violence against women and not actually pitched in the form of exacting justice.

Shiiiiiiiiit. My ex stole my cat. The cat she said she was jealous of because I gave it more attention than her. Which, she was right. She failed to see that I spent more time hanging out with the cat because I didn't want to be around her mad jealousy and control issues. I couldn't leave the house without being hassled about where I was going and who I talked to. So I just stayed home and ended friendships for this woman. Anyway, she actually hid the cat in a crawl space and said she didn't kno…

My favorite comment of that post is the one about how all of the OP's examples of sexism towards men only exist BECAUSE of men. Except when laws are put into place to favor women's rights? And if favoring women's right in custody battles isn't considered equality by feminist standards, then why don't they ever actively stand up for men in those scenarios? Ah that's right. Because they don't really care about equal rights for men. That's why it's called the FEMINIST movement. Not the equalist mov…

Yep. Also noticed how no one called for security until he attacked her back. They were just going to let that broad walk off that train.

Yeah, man. Don't you know you should just let strange women attack you in public? It's important to just let them walk away so NO ONE can call security. Then allow her to just get off at the next stop. Signaling that society says it's a-okay to punch a dude on the subway when he's just trying to eat his Pringles. mad sarcasm

There's nothing wrong about it, you indoctrinated turd. Your butt just hurts because this other person just insulted you by calling your religion barbaric. Which, circumcision is absolutely barbaric. If you and the current practices of your faith are cool with it, then you're f*cking barbaric too.
/r/MensRights27/09/19 01:38 PM

Unless I'm misunderstanding you, that's some mental gymnastics. Your initial comment totally came across as an attempt to dethrown the notion that this persons newfound outlook on circumcision is bunk because he's a sh*t person. If I'm the only one who caught that, then my apologies and I'll take a seat.

Fck religion. It's a bunch of primitive practices invented by demented, delusional dead people. We're not in the dark ages and no one needs to study anything to know mutilating someone's genitals is fcking disgusting and straight up stupid. If there is a god, he doesn't give a sht about a tiny piece of skin on your hypothetical son's dick. That's some frivolous human belief system bullsht. Too true. Despite exerting the same amount of frustration or aggression as a woman, I think men generally come off more intimidating. This is why guys like men's clubs, or "hangin with the boys". A place to not feel like a bull in a China shop. I get that women are expected to smile and be friendly too, but the expectations we equally face are probably for different reasons.

That sucks, dude. I'm sorry. You should be allowed to be normal and not be ostracized for it. The consequences might vary(because I'm a white dude), but you're not alone in feeling like society expects people to be overtly friendly. I'm not saying that to down play your experiences, but to let you know it's relatable and you're not alone.

Just give her the added social pressure that if she can't take care of her family working solo then she's a deadbeat wife and mother. Here comes a wordy one. It's funny that she doesn't say he doesn't do any house work. She says he has a hard time keeping up with it. Then everyone else assumes that means he does nothing and she has to come home and do "all of the house work". I'm a work-from-home dad with a toddler, a teenager and crippling depression. I can say that it is absolutely exhausting.…

Ah yes. The old "kick em in the nuts" gag. This was a big thing even back in the 80's and 90's when I was a kid. Girls would kick boys in the "nards" for anything and everything and sometimes nothing. I remember this one kid just standing there and talking to a friend, when some girl kicked him from a running start. He fell down and sobbed, asking her "why" with tears running down his face. She literally looked at him and said, "Because you're a stupid boy". Thinking back, they could have really…

Not sure what kind of experiences this person has actually endured, but I don't know how many times I've witnessed women assume a guy is hitting on them over a common social nicety. If you can't tell the difference between cat calling and a bland "hello", then you might have an ego problem. Not every guy encountered wants to sleep with you. Calm down. On another note, my ex used to casually make conversation about how open relationships were normal for some people. Conveniently followed with "jo…

Nationalism hasn't been around for millions of years. Tribalistic communities has, but so has individualism(nomads, loners, hermits, heretics, etc), but they were often ostracized for not conforming. Their culture is just how they lived within that tribalistic community, and familiy is inherent to being alive. The modern world is unique in that it incorporates individualism into a larger take on tribalism. But most of us live in a community and we're not tribalistic about it, because we operate …

We live in a society with enough general rules that keep us from getting "ripped off" without tribalism. Except maybe in the case of gang rivalry, but that still falls under the umbrella of people breaking general rules/laws for the sake of their personal tribalistic mentality. Unless you want to argue that our general societal rules are tribalism on a grander scale. That starts falling into the area of nationalism though. Tribalism is a catalyst for pack mentality, which leads to competitive na…

That's because tribalism is key to their success, and individualism is the enemy of tribalism. They'll call it selfish or something along that line in an attempt to demonize it.

I'll go check it out. We should absolutely discuss a place to regroup in the event Reddit goes south. I can't go back to Instagram or Facebook as a primary place for these topics. I only have business pages there, so I can't really talk about controversial issues from any stance. The mob would burn it down before it's built. Can't please em all.

Agreed. The toxicity from that community is the byproduct of surrounding themselves with "YES" people. If no one is around to reinforce your feelings and life experiences, your movement withers away. That's why they fight so hard to break up online "hate groups". I'm surprised this place even exists.

I sympathize. My pops was always gone weeks at a time for work. I was a teenager and my car was having trouble. My mom scolded me for not knowing what to do. Said I was a guy and should already know what to do. Wtf?🤦‍♂️ Guys feel sexism from women all the time at various ages in various walks of life. We just don't b*tch about it as much. If the current movement has taught us anything is that, maybe we should.🤷‍♂️

If it was the states, I would have something to say. I don't know anything about social issues in South Africa outside of the recent white farmers situation. I know they have a whole slew of issues on a level we can't really relate to as a society here. Rape culture is worse. Women there actually do need a safe space because of it.

That's kinda how I wound up here too, man. Tired of feeling crazy. Though I believe haters would call it "cognitive dissonance". I used to be a caregiver for a while, but quit due to how taxing it is on the soul. I too was declined a lot of gigs because clients preferred females. I wasn't offended, despite the actual discriminatory nature of it all. Clients requests came first. I managed to get by without it, but on my own merit. It's just the principle of it.

It just means that when we empathize with the psychos, even for the sake of negotiating, we compromise our own integrity. It's a dangerous game. That's all. I stone wall these people now. My empathy will never be taken advantage of again.

Because it's not really about equality so much as it is about equity. It's not about representation, but eradication. Women tend to be women's worst critics. Despite this being acknowledged by the feminist community, they still do a series of degenerative mental gymnastics with manipulated data to blame it on men. Sorry, ladies, we're just not that monolithic in "our" success and neither are you in your "oppression". The enemy of tribalism is individualism.
