Well, on the bright side, they're definitely moving in the right direction.

There really isn't a point that you can say "life begins" because all the parts involved were already alive in the father's testicles and the mother's body 24/7. Getting super technical like that is meaningless for conversation and problem solving.

(and the medical industry agrees with and disagrees with your position) K. I'm right and wrong. That's all you needed to say. You are trying to frame the distinction as a "minor correction" it is not. It's a high-impact situation that you are ignoring and not folding into the probability. This is bad faith argumentation. They said it's irreversible. I said it wasn't always. That's pretty damn minor, considering this is the bottom of a reddit comment section. Stop trying to make problems where th…

This is all completely irrelevant to my point. Surely you have better things to do than complain about a minor correction.
/r/MensRights29/06/22 08:15 AM

That's a bad faith argument. A revolver with 5 empty chambers and a 6th live and loaded one who's trigger is pulled while pointing at someone alive isn't "not dangerous." Its dangerous, but saying "you're guaranteed to die" is flat out lying. Saying "it's irreversible" implies that you mean it's always irreversible, which isn't true. That's my whole point.
/r/MensRights29/06/22 08:09 AM

That's all true of course, but saying it's irreversible is simply misinformation. It is sometimes irreversible and the chances of it being irreversible go up as time passes, but in a short spam of time it's most often reversible.

1) The right to have access to abortion (nationwide) was overturned, allowing it to be banned on a state to state basis. 2) Literally doing it for nothing then. Actively harming men and women to, I guess, prove a point. There's almost no way to interpret this as anything but a negative for men.

Pure autism, it's clear that I mean at a social level, not at an individual level. I now have absolutely no idea what you mean. Cant really care autism away, you have it or not. This is just one problem, what about IQ, hormonal profiles, beauty and so on? It's the result of development problems. These are minimized with proper care. The rest are the same and mostly influenced by hereditary factors anyway. Can't lose children if you don't right? But this way society dies. Humans are basically eng…

If you are a man in America and know any women, it affects you directly even if you don't realise it. As history has shown, only so much protesting can be tolerated before elites are forced to listen, and it doesn't even have to reach the extremes of the French revolution.

Having more kids will make you able to retire earlier. This means that, even if you are poorer in the beginning, you can retire at 60 instead than at 80, because there is someone that is now working and pay taxes for you. People with 1 or 2 kids still generally retire at 50-60. Can, or can make them better, depends, on a social level they make them better tho. This is true. Not sure about that, for example babies born when the mother is in her 30s have way more chances of being autistic. Way hig…

Exactly, Nigeria is poor, that means that it's not about not being able to have kids because of moneu, but it's about wanting to keep being hedonistic. ??? Children are an economic burden > having more children doesn't often make you more money in a first world country > it's cheaper to have less kids. Nope, your argument is that people can't afford babies, it's not true, they don't want them because they want to be hedonistic, if Nigeria can do it America can too. Nigeria is poor. Worst standards you say, problem is that without babies you can't retire, you don't have new workforce and a lot of other problems, so not sure about the worst standards. Didn't state otherwise. The early 30s are a terrible age to have babies, too old, we mature around 16 and by 18 we are sexually fertile, if nature…

I understand your line of reasoning but this makes things way worse for men as well, since it only overshadows men's issues and encourages feminists to scream "the patriarchy is taking our rights", while simultaneously becoming another male problem. The smart way to use this in the way you want it to is to make reasonable comparisons to men's issues and capitalize on the buzz to promote financial abortion AND medical abortion. I would attempt to do so quickly, because it seems like gay marriage …

Don't, not didn't. I was speaking about the present. You incorrectly assumed that birth control has only been around for a few decades. We are not at a stable level, we are recessing and if this is the trend western countries will go extinct. Demonstrably false. Plus, stop with this "economical" rethoric when Nigeria is having like 4 babies per family. Are you telling me Nigeria standards of living are higher than America? More kids, worse living standards. Most of those birth control methods were ineffective. Hence why we made extremely effective ones. Y'know, first world technological advances. Most people now can afford to have sex without children (women, especially) and they are choosing to never have them or to have them very late in life, by doing so they are only able to have one or two tho. The whole point is to have two children so you can financially support them, give them enough care and attention and, ideally, keep the population more…

The earliest forms of birth control, as well as abortion, were found in Ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia as far back as 1850 BC. Papyrus scrolls were found to contain directions on how to make birth control, using honey, acacia leaves, and also lint as a form of cervical cap to prevent sperm from entering the womb. https://www.pandiahealth.com/resources/birth-control-throughout-history/#:~:text=The%20earliest%20forms%20of%20birth%20control%2C%20as%20well%20as%20abortion,sperm%20from%20entering%20th…

Funny how it's fine in plenty of other countries. Maybe the problem is America and not abortions. In fact, it's worked fine for centuries. Certainly no destruction of the fabric of society, because not getting pregnant (and improving the quality of one's relationship) isn't worse than dozens of compiling issues. Adding to those issues and using mental gymnastics to justify it is what destroys a society, and has, hundreds of times.

In a first world country (which the USA hardly is, clearly), centuries of technological advances come together to solve problems and increase quality of life. I have no idea why you'd try to use "le feminists said so- so now they get to taste their own medicine" if you think it's a valid argument. If anything, that tells me you agree with the notion that men just shouldn't have sex if they don't want to be financially and unethically exploited for decades.

That is making it worse for women. In fact, men too, because if his condom breaks, he has to pay child support for a child his girlfriend likely would've been OK with aborting. Say they break up, as couples tend to do, and he's now paying off a durex condom for the next 18 years.

The problem is you phrase the post as if this is common knowledge and at least most likely true if not a fact when it's based on a handful of women you've met at school. Saying "the amount of women" only makes it worse. It would be better to phrase it as "is it just me or" or "does anyone else see a lot of" or just stating that you see a lot of women vehemently against it. 55% was last I checked, which was a few months ago. It's in that ballpark at least. And yes it doesn't mean 43.8% of all lesbian relationships feature those things, my bad. Assuming the women studied have a fairly average amount of partners though (which they should if the study was done right), it does still contribute to the main point very well.
/r/MensRights30/12/21 08:50 AM

43.8% of lesbian women and 61.1% of bisexual women have experienced rape, physical violence, and/or stalking by an intimate partner at some point in their lifetime, as opposed to 35% of heterosexual women. https://ncadv.org/blog/posts/domestic-violence-and-the-lgbtq-community The results from our survey indicate that 66% of the respondents (125 of 189) knew of lesbians who had experienced abuse in their relationships. https://www.canada.ca/en/public-health/services/health-promotion/stop-family-v…

The difference in terms of sexual violence isn't actually that great. Legally, men can only be raped by men, but including forced to penetrate (which is apparently "special sexual assault"), its closer to being more even. The wiki pulled down their numbers for some reason but I remember it somewhere in the range of 1.5% of women raped a year and 1.3-1.4 percent of men forced to penetrate (raped) a year. Actual sexual assault, towards men, is far more often commited by women, it's just usually do…
/r/MensRights28/12/21 12:08 AM

Depending on the victim and location, women can't neccesarily be charged for rape at all. Technically yeah, the sentence would be the same, but forced to penetrate is a form of sexual assault. In some countries, it's a misdemeanor instead of a felony, even if the victim is a minor. If you don't know, a misdemeanor is literally just a felony but not as serious, with a less serious punishment.

There was a law that specifically criminalized domestic violence during the day, so you're sort of correct. But it was intentionally legal during the night, since it was seen as a private home matter and was culturally acceptable.
/r/MensRights30/11/21 01:10 AM
1

Yes... it is... which is why they're given different names legally. That can't even be argued. It does mean DV was legal when another law was passed a few decades earlier that criminalized it during the day specifically. Meaning it was legal at night

There was a reason Britain passed a law that said "Hey guys, don't beat your wives during the day! But at night, well, you're responsible for your wives behaviour." If it was over with like, 200 years ago, then your point would be a lot stronger. But considering how recent it is, you might as well be saying black people could always sit at the front of the bus.
/r/MensRights27/11/21 06:08 AM

My comment is actually saying "even though it wasn't a real law, it was used this way because people assumed it to be true given recent history." In other words, a couple decades ago some whack shit was happening, and people started using this phrase in relation to that. I know, I know, language is so amazing. We can say things and strongly imply something else. Good thing we have inference skills amirite?

Phrases have multiple uses, and origins. The rule of thumb wasn't an actual law, but does represent actual domestic violence and the corresponding laws at the time (or lack thereof), and isn't farfetched at all. That's why it got popular, because it might as well have been a real law.

It was only illegal during the day, actually. Before that law passed, men were deemed responsible for their wife's behavior and beating your wife because she was acting out of line wasn't unacceptable. I have no idea why you're bringing hospitalization and murder up, because those are different from domestic violence. Especially murder because, well, I'm sure you know why. In fact beating and battering are two different forms of domestic violence.

It definitely is high. Around 6% of the population in total. My point was that despite that, the vast majority have relationships with adults and can function completely normally. A third of pedophiles admit to being abused as a kid themselves, which assuming that is actually a consistent cause, makes it a men's rights issue. Since there are more male pedos than female.

Some quick stats: An estimated 1 - 5% of men are pedophiles. The large majority won't harm a kid in their lives. A lot of people who harm children aren't even pedos on top of that, and do it because children are very easy to exploit and manipulate. In a public setting, a bunch of people keeping watch on a single male with a child is really enough to notice anything before it happens, IF it happens. Intense suspicion really is enough. Special sexual assault is basically rape, but when the victim isn't being penetrated from my understanding. The CDC didn't specify it in the articles I was reading, and I'm not even sure if it can apply to women since I've never heard it used in that context. Their reasoning for the separation was also pretty vague, and sounded like "men can't have their vagina damaged, so it's less physically damaging". I don't think you understand how sexual women really are. If the movie is for women, then yeah, a macho himbo is probably there for women to enjoy. That's for all forms of violence, not nearly just SA. Including much, much more violent countries than say, the USA. You have to define non violent forms of sexual assault before we get anywhere. I hate to make a "it happens to men too" argument, but since the CDC refuses to recognize men as rape victims, special sexual assault works great. Men are "special sexually assaulted" by women at nearly equal rates compared to women being raped by men. Somehow women make up close to 20% of people who ra…

/r/MensRights03/11/21 04:43 PM

It depends strongly on how you define SA. Feminism includes normal advances that, while unwanted, aren't sexual. The WHO states that 1 in 3 women worldwide experience some form of violence in their life. That includes sexual, and definitely isn't "nearly all". I couldn't find more precise statistics very fast though.

So yeah, victim blaming, and saying men cause all of men's problems. If you ever wonder why lots so many people hate feminism, refer back to here.
/r/MensRights03/11/21 04:28 PM
4

This is literally what people here have a problem with in feminism. Completely ignoring women's role in this issue, blaming men for all of men's issues, and then not even recognizing most of men's issues in the first place. Creepy behaviour has to be the worst example you couldve chosen. Just the accusation that you're a creep will lose you any respectable career, good relationship and may even get you arrested.
/r/MensRights03/11/21 04:15 PM
3

We ARE doing this though. Women are included in the mandatory draft as of a few months ago I'm pretty sure, and if it didn't happen, it was still pushed for by men and rejected by feminists. They seem to be forgetting that the bystander effect is a well documented, real thing that occurs regardless of the crime. I don't think a guy should be criticized for it regardless of whether or not he takes it. Not even from a social point, but a practical one. I can get another if you need it Fertility did go down based on the method they used, but of done correctly, a man will still be able to get a women pregnant over 80% of the time. There's plenty of natural ways to increase sperm count, health and motility anyway.

I'm not going to say that women aren't seriously affected by misogyny (because I'm not a woman), but not only assuming, but directly STATING that men are barely affected by misandry is simply a bad faith argument. There are objectives obviously, but what is right and wrong largely comes down to opinion. You can't make an objective opinion about how men feel unless you are A: Every man on the planet, or B: Have polled every man with at least high accuracy.

Because patriarchy has no proper definition that they all or mostly agree on, it makes a perfect catch all and can twist peanut butter and jam sandwiches into a patriarchal sexist device of worship. Its r/NoFap and r/TheRedPill that they really go after. They treat r/WomensDatingStrategy similarly by calling it Misandrist. Although my problem is a lot of it seems to be opinion based with editors giving their own statements instead of just the facts.

You're right. A third of the article addresses the fact that women's suicides are far lower than mens suicides. Thanks for pointing that out. If you want to set yourself apart from feminists, try not to flip shit at any disagreement. Trust me, it will go a long way. You're looking for misandry in the same way feminists look for misogyny.
