I don't think so

I mean what does “working” look like? Getting you laid, a date, a healthy relationship, etc. I mean it probably depends on what you want and the type of girls you go for
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/23 07:54 PM
1

Oh yay I’m Gen z
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/23 07:53 PM
2

What do you mean by “work”?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/23 07:45 PM
3

Yep. Some just suck at sex
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/23 05:48 PM
3

Yet most women don’t teach orgasm during sex
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/23 05:28 PM
2

Again, the original intention of the phrase is regard to sex and companionship. Does there exist some women who misuse it? Of course. But that’s the original intention
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/23 04:58 PM
1

I agree. Removing a condom in the middle of the act is rape. Stealing someone’s sperm from a used condom is nearly the same in my eyes
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/23 04:37 PM
2

Again no. Please feel free to go back an read what I’ve written again if you’re still confused
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/23 04:26 PM

$7 iced latte and a weekly fresh bread from a nearby bakery
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/23 06:59 AM
2

Sorry that you feel that way. Maybe you should reread my previous comments and try to understand Granted there are plenty of assholes out there, but again, the original purpose was in regards to sex and companionship
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/23 06:58 AM

7-12 depending on how sedentary Just my type
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/23 05:49 AM

It’s a figure of speech friend. You’re not meant to take it literally
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/23 05:44 AM
2

Primarily for simplicity. And partially because they may not be completely transparent about what they expect/feel entitled to (sex, company, kissing, oral, etc)
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/23 05:44 AM

Yeah but if I moved they’d cut my salary by like 40% Works out so far
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/23 05:25 AM

Because not every single time does the sex one fit. For example, if I go on a date with a guy and he expects me to kiss him at the end of the night “women don’t owe you anything” would be more appropriate there
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/23 05:06 AM

It didn’t change. They came about simultaneously while being interchangeable
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/23 04:24 AM
14

Lol come on man. This is pathetic
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/23 04:19 AM

Original intention was regards to sex and companionship. “Women don’t owe you sex” being popular for example
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/23 03:24 AM

Exactly. The sooner both genders can figure this out the better. You want someone to commit to you? Well you better be someone worth committing to
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/23 03:17 AM

I live alone in a major city. Doing just fine
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/23 03:15 AM

And look, the world is still spinning even with scores of single mothers
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/23 03:13 AM

Yeah and that woman is an asshole. I’m speaking generally and about the original intention
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/23 03:12 AM

The women don’t owe you anything refers to sex and companionship. But yeah I can get how that’s vague as fuck
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/23 02:47 AM
4

If a woman is uncomfortable around men and vice verse, just having some stranger vouch for someone doesn't fix that
/r/PurplePillDebate11/12/23 10:59 PM
7

But that would negate the whole point of separating by gendet
/r/PurplePillDebate11/12/23 10:29 PM
1

I gotchu
/r/PurplePillDebate11/12/23 08:27 PM

Ooo hard disagree there. I’ve been rejected by men for not being sexually experienced. Highly dependent on culture
/r/PurplePillDebate11/12/23 08:19 PM
2

“I hate all men”
/r/PurplePillDebate11/12/23 07:38 PM

I disagree strongly that men are more similar in most countries. Take a man in Indonesia, Argentina, UK, Japan, and South Africa. Each will likely have very different expectations and needs for a relationship
/r/PurplePillDebate11/12/23 07:19 PM
12

I usually workout with my bf now and in college with a few guy friends. Splitting gyms by gender wouldn’t make this possible anymore for me
/r/PurplePillDebate11/12/23 07:17 PM
1

Would never send nudes to a guy
/r/PurplePillDebate11/12/23 04:32 AM

Depends on the enhancements. Most of them would not though
/r/PurplePillDebate11/12/23 01:46 AM

Only when it’s done poorly
/r/PurplePillDebate11/12/23 01:23 AM

Mid twenties. I’ll got 10 years older max and 2 years younger. I think it’s important for them to be out of college for at least a few years
/r/PurplePillDebate10/12/23 11:49 PM
1

No strip clubs is a big one for me that a few people have had problems with
/r/PurplePillDebate10/12/23 11:46 PM

Why?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/12/23 07:06 AM

Why does she have to be a virgin?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/12/23 06:21 AM

The most lonely I’ve ever been was in a relationship. I’d much rather be single than with someone who does not meet my standards
/r/PurplePillDebate10/12/23 05:46 AM

Combined is fine
/r/PurplePillDebate10/12/23 02:31 AM

We just take turns paying for stuff and it all evens out. I’d rather just pay for everything than do a whole song and dance of splitting it all down the middle for
/r/PurplePillDebate09/12/23 10:08 PM
4

I think it depends on the culture a bit. I always pay my share and often pay for male friends who make less than me. Like if I really wanna go try restaurant then I’ll say it’s my treat. But I also know in some more conservative/religious areas some of the boys feel pressured to pay for their female friends. Though that’s dumb
/r/PurplePillDebate09/12/23 07:44 PM

No way that's my type
/r/PurplePillDebate09/12/23 05:53 AM

I'm my dad’s favorite. My sister used to be my mom’s favorite. But then she moved across the country so now it's my brother
/r/PurplePillDebate09/12/23 05:32 AM

No way. Give me the accountant
/r/PurplePillDebate09/12/23 05:28 AM

Horseshoe theory
/r/PurplePillDebate08/12/23 11:24 PM
1

I've caught plenty growing up and it was easy. But maybe different type of fish?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/12/23 11:14 PM
3

Plenty of women like fishing and hiking and cars. Plenty don't. The fish and hunting pic with a dead animal is a bit of a cliche and suggests political opinions that some women don't like
/r/PurplePillDebate08/12/23 09:56 PM
1

Yeah. But all humans still have in group bias. Look at race and religion for example
/r/PurplePillDebate08/12/23 08:50 PM
2

No. Would probably fuck with my life and prevent me from putting in the work to make meaningful relationships
/r/PurplePillDebate08/12/23 08:29 PM
1

I legit just gave you the definition dude. It's accurate
/r/PurplePillDebate08/12/23 08:23 PM
1

As someone who lives in one of these cities, that's incredibly unlikely that your expenses for a few months is 100k. Even among the wealthiest here
/r/PurplePillDebate08/12/23 08:23 PM
3

Then why isn't he fucking every single single mom coming his way?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/12/23 08:22 PM
1

Traumatic literally means “emotionally disturbing or distressing” Seems an excellent way to describe unsolicited dick picks to me
/r/PurplePillDebate08/12/23 07:41 PM
1

Sometimes it's better to just get the work done. But if becomes the status quo then she should say something But startup culture can just be like that
/r/PurplePillDebate08/12/23 07:22 PM
2

Must be fake. No way someone financially literary keeps 100k in a checking account
/r/PurplePillDebate08/12/23 07:20 PM
1

Again context matters. Going to a pride event where there will be nudity is consenting to see nudity. It's also not targeted at you specifically Being sexually harrassed by unsolicited dick picks is something else entirely. I'm happy that it wasnt traumatic for you but for many women it is. Especially if you're sexually inexperienced/young It is sexual harrasment full stop
/r/PurplePillDebate08/12/23 07:19 PM
1

I can recall every single dick pic I've ever been sent because it was an uncomfortable and traumatic experience. It's not nice and nobody should be tricked into seeing random porn like that It's uncomfortable and gross now. And it was particularly traumatic as a college student when I was a virgin. Would you say going around flashing women is ok??
/r/PurplePillDebate08/12/23 06:58 PM
1

Are normal male friends ok with you?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/12/23 06:43 PM
1

Everyone has an in group bias. It's human nature
/r/PurplePillDebate08/12/23 06:42 PM
1

Appealing definitely plays a part. I think there is a subconscious experience as a women where you are constantly a little on edge. Probably a large part due to growing up with parents constantly warning us about strange men and in part due to negative past experiences. We are constantly aware that we are generally weaker and that if someone really wanted to hurt us, they probably could. And one of the most common types of violence against women is sexually motivated So yeah, most the time a DM …
/r/PurplePillDebate08/12/23 06:41 PM
4

Yep
/r/PurplePillDebate08/12/23 05:59 PM
3

They usually end up dating each other
/r/PurplePillDebate08/12/23 05:55 PM
5

Of course I block and move on. But the feeling I get when I receive a scam call vs when I receive a DM is different. And of course not all DMs are equal. It does depend on if it's aggressive or overly sexual and because my social media is private, most come from people I've met in passing and then they track me down on social media As for why dick pics suck, well to be frank they aren't nice to look at. And when it's unsolicited its annoying and can be construed as being a bit aggressive. Sendin…
/r/PurplePillDebate08/12/23 04:31 PM
11

Different when people are sending dick pics. And there’s also an uneasy safety feeling. Particularly when people are overly persistent or get aggressive with DMs
/r/PurplePillDebate08/12/23 07:50 AM
-1

I could see it. But horny in different ways. Primarily because physically body mechanics prevent women likely being satisfied by a random hookup. More likely to be painful then pleasurable for most Men can get satisfaction more easily though
/r/PurplePillDebate08/12/23 07:48 AM
2

I disagree on the likely effect. If anything I’d expect an increase in the number of children born into homes that are unable to support them financially due to a large portion of men automatically opting out of having any financial responsibility
/r/PurplePillDebate08/12/23 02:04 AM
1

If you are putting on a front in order to sleep with or date a woman then you are the bad guy. You are removing her ability to accurately consent to dating you by deceiving her Say you met the perfect girl but she’s Christian and only dates religious guys. You then faking being Christian in order to be with her is wrong and it makes you a bad person. Do what you want but if I ever caught one of my friends behaving this way I’d cut them out of my life
/r/PurplePillDebate08/12/23 12:00 AM
2

One of the reasons I like my partner so much is that we never fight. It’s great
/r/PurplePillDebate07/12/23 11:29 PM
1

That’s not a real thing. Its a joke that went viral
/r/PurplePillDebate07/12/23 10:02 PM
0

You said yourself that results are more a priority than being a good guy. Sorry. That makes you a bad person It’s easier to get ahead in life and get “results” by lying, cheating, and stealing. Still makes you a bad person to do so
/r/PurplePillDebate07/12/23 10:01 PM
-3

Expecting people to be good people isn’t idealistic. But hey good to know that according to you all men are bad people
/r/PurplePillDebate07/12/23 09:22 PM
1

Lol
/r/PurplePillDebate07/12/23 09:12 PM
1

Careful. Depends on what you want to do but from what I’ve seen work experience > masters degree in a lot of industries
/r/PurplePillDebate07/12/23 09:07 PM
1

Reading stuff like that makes me worried I’m too naive when it comes to people
/r/PurplePillDebate07/12/23 09:06 PM
6

They exist. They’re called Mormons and they have some of the highest rates of antidepressant use in the US
/r/PurplePillDebate07/12/23 08:55 PM
0

There’s a difference between changing yourself for the better and outright deceiving someone in order to hide who you are
/r/PurplePillDebate07/12/23 08:50 PM
1

I’ve asked out plenty of people myself. I think a lot of women approach men in our own ways. I posted a bit ago asking men here how many people they’ve asked out in the last 12 months and even I’ve asked out more men than half of you have ever asked out women
/r/PurplePillDebate07/12/23 08:47 PM
1

I don’t mind it usually. It’s uncomfortable when I’m followed or they get pushy. But most are pretty chill When I’m caught off guard I get a little nervous and quiet which probably comes off a little bitchy tbh
/r/PurplePillDebate07/12/23 08:45 PM
1

Don’t get me wrong. Plenty of issues with entitlement from women and men alike. But when it comes to dating, like of course you need to put in the work if you want a relationship. Learning how to vet and approach is a great skill to have. For both men and women honestly
/r/PurplePillDebate07/12/23 07:33 PM
6

Because deceiving people into a relationship is just morally wrong. Full stop. Of course pretending to be something you’re not gets results. You’re tricking someone into liking you
/r/PurplePillDebate07/12/23 07:30 PM
1

Ok live your life. But if you want a gf you have to actually go get a gf. Doing nothing is a great way to not change anything
/r/PurplePillDebate07/12/23 07:18 PM
1

I want men to approach more because so many of you just don’t at all and then get mad that you never get into a relationship
/r/PurplePillDebate07/12/23 07:06 PM
1

Love your hypothetical. Let me give you a real life example: I make a lot more money than my bf. I know I could definitely get someone who makes a lot more than myself as I have dated that in the past and continue to get interest from those men. I actively choose to be with my bf because of his other qualities I find attractive. By your logic I am going against some innate biological need to only date men with more money or greater social standing than myself. Plenty of women out earn their part…
/r/PurplePillDebate07/12/23 06:12 PM
3

Yeah
/r/PurplePillDebate07/12/23 04:51 PM
6

I have a hard time reconciling men who believe women with more sex partners “damages” them and then will sleep with a woman they have no intention committing to
/r/PurplePillDebate07/12/23 04:48 PM
-1

When women are actively choosing partners that are below them in whatever metric, that doesn’t mean they couldn’t get someone higher. Women have more opportunities to take care of themselves so marrying up is less of a requirement for survival. Basically I’m saying it’s primarily culture/society influenced while you say it’s biological. The only biological component is women having more to lose when it comes to sex and child rearing As societies become more equal, men and women start to converge…
/r/PurplePillDebate07/12/23 07:47 AM
0

There is a wealth of data that says otherwise. I encourage you to look into it
/r/PurplePillDebate07/12/23 07:26 AM
3

Hypergamy for example. Though I expect that as society becomes more equal this will dissipate as it has been. Looks matter being another “duh” red pill take
/r/PurplePillDebate07/12/23 03:30 AM
-1

Because though red pill has some good bits, most is pseudoscience
/r/PurplePillDebate07/12/23 02:38 AM
1

Most of my friends have met their partners through online dating including myself. His friends say he’s punching but he’s good looking and I think we are pretty well matched
/r/PurplePillDebate07/12/23 02:33 AM
1

See I guess I’m just not convinced that women are as genetically hypergamous as you seem to think they are
/r/PurplePillDebate07/12/23 12:46 AM
1

Of course research hypergamy is still relevant even when men and women have equal earning power, because women are more likely to take a career hit at some point when children get into the picture. I’d expect as childcare becomes more widely available you’d see this trend continue to go down. Like the example you provided with lesbian couples
/r/PurplePillDebate07/12/23 12:03 AM
1

Not nerds. Fit and good looking. Some have certain standards that they aren’t able to get easily for whatever reason. And that’s ok because dating isn’t supposed to be easy unless your standards are on the floor I’m not assuming anything about you. But some hookups does not mean you’re having a ton of casual sex. But live your life man
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/23 11:37 PM
1

Dude. You having multiple sexual experiences does not equal “tons of casual sex” Like I’m happy for you, but that’s not it Also plenty of tech workers making more than six figures don’t have women throwing themselves at them. I live in the bay. There’s plenty of wealthy men here struggling a bit
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/23 10:43 PM
3

Oh wow. I had no idea single mothers never existed before child support was a thing /s
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/23 10:39 PM
12

Cool that’s not possible under OP’s proposal
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/23 10:37 PM
7

Because the kids need to be provided for. Not to mention kids who grow up in poverty are then much more likely to become criminals and cause all sorts of societal damage
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/23 10:28 PM
1

What’s your job?
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/23 10:26 PM
3

They can if the guy can figure out how to hide his porn usage. I think her asking him to keep it out of sight is a perfectly reasonable compromise
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/23 10:25 PM
5

And everyone else’s taxes go up to pay for your kids. Great 👍🏻
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/23 10:23 PM
1

They aren’t getting “all the women” The vast majority of men I know who are attractive, wealthy, and successful are in long term relationships. The people I’ve met who are having tons of casual sex are usually socially maladjusted and borderline unattractive people in in polyamorous relationships with drug problems and idiots back home You having multiple sexual experiences is not having tons of casual sex
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/23 10:20 PM
2

I don’t disagree. Yet I do not a lot of older married couples who are incredibly lonely because their relationship is shitty. Vs the few single older people I know who have friends, hobbies, etc. Obviously best case for most is a good relationship. But single != lonely.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/23 09:45 PM
1

I mean probably. As society becomes more comfortable for women in regards to childcare, work/education opportunities, etc. we see hypergamy decrease Would make sense if you’re taking the whole childbirth thing out of the equation completely it will change how we approach relationships
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/23 09:38 PM
3

A poor relationship can almost guarantee loneliness. Being single doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll be lonely
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/23 09:35 PM
1

Yeah I think this idea that “all hot people are having crazy causal sex” is fabricated
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/23 08:53 PM
1

Depends on how it’s done tbh. But generally asking a girl “can I kiss you” is kinda lame On the other hand, having a guy try and kiss me out of nowhere too early is a major turnoff
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/23 08:17 PM
2

Yeah that makes a lot of sense
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/23 08:13 PM
5

Would most men really choose a poor relationship over being single or is it just the subset of men on this sub?
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/23 07:32 PM
4

Hell even I treat attractive women nicer. And I see plenty of men treating other attractive men nicer. I don’t think it’s just a libido thing
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/23 07:14 PM
2

Can’t speak for everyone but this fits for me and both my sisters as well
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/23 05:12 AM
1

Pros and cons. Pro is I have full control over my space. Con is I had to ask the guy at the corner store to open a jar for me once
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/23 04:37 AM
3

And yet more men have sex with girls than men who make a million dollars
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/23 04:35 AM
15

Lol this is true from my very limited experience
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/23 04:13 AM
9

I mean he was pretty upfront about everything so I don’t think so. But live your life man
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/23 03:54 AM
11

No they were fellow residents. Two in his program. Never mentioned hooking up with a nurse. Always other doctors. I went to one conference with him and he gave me a heads up that he had previously dated 3 other girls there who were also neurosurgeons/researchers. I noped out of that relationship pretty soon after that Seems lots of hooking up with coworkers happens in that profession
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/23 03:36 AM
8

I dated a guy who was a neurosurgeon for a short period. He had hooked up with a lot of people in his residency and fellowship. Made me super uncomfortable
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/23 03:25 AM
1

Makes sense to me
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/23 03:18 AM

No cause I was with my family. (Worked remotely from my parents house cause I was going crazy being alone in a different city) Though my overall social life took a major hit and had to rebuild a bit afterwards

/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/23 02:22 AM
4

We are talking about adults here friend. But if you insist on using the kids analogy then there are plenty of incentives parents use to make kids eat their vegetables
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/23 02:10 AM
8

No. Single women don’t want to get into a relationship because the relationship available is worse than being single. It’s basic incentives. If we can incentive marriage so that it’s preferable to being single, more people would choose marriage
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/23 01:23 AM
8

I mean I don’t understand what you’re saying. If single people are bad for society then marriage should be incentivized. You can’t blame the individual for not wanting to enter into a contract that’s bad for them
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/23 01:06 AM
4

Sorry you’re going to have to rephrase
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/23 12:34 AM
7

Same with men and height. Your opinion is only valid if you’re 6’4
/r/PurplePillDebate05/12/23 11:41 PM
2

“As long as I vibe with the overall person” I think women think and dissect this idea a lot more than men and thus put more strict rules in place. For example, I know I won’t vibe with someone who is religious but I also won’t vibe with someone who hates religion. So one standard I have is not religious, but respectful of religion. I also wouldn’t vibe with someone who smokes as my grandfather died prematurely from that and it caused a lot of heartache in the family. So therefore I have a no smo…

/r/PurplePillDebate05/12/23 10:14 PM
3

I think youre right in terms of filtering. But I don’t think it’s just a height or looks thing all the time. Don’t get me wrong, looks are important. But most of the guys I’ve gone out with and then declined a second date have been due to us not fitting well for other reasons. Some examples: Guy says he isn’t sure if he wants kids Guy views all religion as evil (I’m not religious but my family is and I’m close to them so this would cause problems) Guys favorite thing is partying and going out to…

The quality of the relationship matters
/r/PurplePillDebate05/12/23 09:00 PM
7

It the choices are be single or be in a relationship that makes you feel unsatisfied and lonely, most women will likely choose to be single
/r/PurplePillDebate05/12/23 08:59 PM
1

Depends if I trusted my partner or not. If I didn’t then I’d probably get the test
/r/PurplePillDebate05/12/23 08:07 PM

May I ask how tall you are?
/r/PurplePillDebate05/12/23 04:21 PM
2

Again, paint me as whatever you like, but you’re just wasting your life doing so. Hope it makes you feel better though
/r/PurplePillDebate05/12/23 05:51 AM
1

Why 0?
/r/PurplePillDebate05/12/23 05:49 AM

Painting me as some wealthy leech isn’t going to fix your life. I’m sorry your life is shitty but nothing will change unless you take accountability for it and make different choices. I’m very privileged to have parents that love me, but I started my life relying of food stamps and worked my way to where I’m at. I’m not going to pretend to know your financial situation, but your world view is clear and you’re just setting yourself up for failure and disappointment unless something changes
/r/PurplePillDebate05/12/23 05:14 AM
-2

And you’re definitely not a chronically online doom scroller who has convinced themselves the world is ending in order to avoid accountability for their own shitty life decisions
/r/PurplePillDebate05/12/23 04:14 AM
-3

Like what? People are generally doing pretty damn good and there isn’t really any evidence of widespread crisis besides potential wars but that’s always been there Everyone is just chronically online in some doomsday echo chamber convincing them that the world is ending so therefore it’s ok for you to give up on your life

Money and women are superficial bandaids that don’t solve the main problems Usually that being a lack of genuine community and purpose as well as a lack of empathy for others that can inadvertently make them feel isolated
/r/PurplePillDebate05/12/23 03:15 AM
3

I know a lot of really miserable rich people. Though they usually have money and women
/r/PurplePillDebate05/12/23 02:49 AM
-3

I’m of the opinion that the world (though imperfect) is is just about the best it’s ever been in terms of quality of life The incoming crisis is overblown
/r/PurplePillDebate05/12/23 02:45 AM
2

After asking here how many people men have actually asked out in the last year, I really don’t think half of you have really even tried tbh
/r/PurplePillDebate05/12/23 02:40 AM
2

Usually no. I did start getting a lot recently due to accidentally viewing footage of recent world events that was very graphic
/r/PurplePillDebate05/12/23 02:39 AM
3

And how many accepted/rejected?
/r/PurplePillDebate05/12/23 02:05 AM
1

Haha fair enough
/r/PurplePillDebate05/12/23 01:09 AM
1

Why not?
/r/PurplePillDebate05/12/23 12:57 AM
1

Happy it’s worked out. How did you get a relationship without ever asking her out?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/23 09:55 PM
1

Why 0?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/23 09:55 PM
1

Why not?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/23 09:33 PM

And you wonder why most women don’t like most men
/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/23 09:29 PM

Which is what?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/23 09:24 PM

I’ve done this with my bf. Not smoking but other stuff and didn’t just spring it on him. From the beginning I said I wanted to be in a relationship with someone that does x or doesn’t do x and if that’s not something he’s cool with we should end this here
/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/23 09:23 PM

What do you expect them to get back in return?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/23 09:21 PM

Lots of miserable billionaires out there
/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/23 08:13 PM
6

If he gets in touch with the kid he should have to pay back missed child support as well at least partially
/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/23 07:15 PM

Here’s the thing. If you hide something from your wife that would potentially end the relationship, then you’re the asshole
/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/23 07:09 PM
1

I’m not arguing that a man puts more effort in up front. I’m saying that a woman isn’t passive in forming relationships. These are two different things
/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/23 06:42 PM
2

Not necessarily. You have all the control on who to approach. Women must basically guess people’s intentions in hopes that one actually wants a relationship. Not to mention that the more failed attempts the more “damaged” she becomes in the eyes of other potential partners
/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/23 06:41 PM
1

What’s funny is that the people I know having the most sex are in my opinion some of the weirdest and most unattractive. While people who you’d expect have the highest SMV are just getting in relationships
/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/23 05:48 PM
1

I disagree. But I also don’t want to date someone who is incredibly more attractive than myself primarily for social reasons. I can’t think of any instance where I’ve met someone in real life who would be too attractive though
/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/23 05:46 PM
2

No I agree on the approaching thing. But I don’t think that being approached means it’s easier to find a life partner
/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/23 05:44 PM
1

And I’m talking about finding a life partner. The woman isn’t passive in that
/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/23 05:41 PM

Damn well good luck with that
/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/23 05:23 PM
1

Who is the female a passive participant in a relationship?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/23 05:23 PM
1

Getting asked out does not automatically mean the guy wants to spend his life with me. Vast majority of the times most women are approached are men looking to fuck her. Not a relationship
/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/23 05:22 PM

So you haven’t asked out anyone since April?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/23 05:01 PM
5

How so?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/23 05:00 PM
4

Of course. Finding a life partner was never supposed to be easy. It’s arguably the most important thing you’ll do in your life
/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/23 04:35 PM
4

Not trying to attack you but I’m just curious if my world view is twisted. In the last 12 months how many women have you asked out?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/23 04:32 PM
2

Not not good at this. But say a man decides to drive recklessly and ends up crashing his car in a neighborhood. Then the man is demanding that society must now pay to repair all of the damage that he caused as he just doesn’t want to. That’s how I view paper abortions. Society as a whole ends up paying for your mistake
/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/23 04:30 PM
1

No that’s not fair. However I do not think that scenario is equivalent
/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/23 08:22 AM

Find an influencer who has similar measurements and you like their style. That’s what’s worked for me
/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/23 06:31 AM

Height is linked to health. Why do you think entire nations’ average height skyrockets as they develop? https://www.npr.org/2010/10/25/130732488/measuring-a-countrys-health-by-its-height
/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/23 02:32 AM

You’re lying to yourself if you think it’s protection. Women by and large don’t need protection in modern day. Tall men signal health. Just like how men tend to prefer women with long hair. It’s subconsciously associated with health and virility. It’s basic mate selection
/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/23 01:37 AM

Simply a sign of health and virility

I was absolutely terrified in NYC for an internship when a massive guy stood above me on the train and made intense eye contact for the entire ride. He was 4 feet away just staring down at me. I remember panicking that he would follow me or something. It was bizarre and uncomfortable
/r/PurplePillDebate03/12/23 06:13 PM

My bf does all of this and it’s great. My dad still opens the car door for my mom and all that

/r/PurplePillDebate02/12/23 05:46 AM

Immediate no if we are dating. If we are married with kids that gets more complicated
/r/PurplePillDebate02/12/23 02:28 AM

Had an invite to a party the guy I was dating was throwing but completely forgot about it and when he texted me to confirm it was too late to make it. I could tell that it hurt him. I apologized and took him to dinner as a sorry. Another time was at a job. It was only two weeks in and basically I approved some code that I shouldn’t have and my teammate had to work late to fix my mistake. I apologized to him, made sure my boss knew how he had stepped up, and was careful not to make the mistake ag…

You should 100% filtered dates to women who agree with you or are cool with your political opinions. I think you’d be surprised by the number of women that likely share some of your views Although I’m finding that the more corporate career-focused women lean more conservative/libertarian than say a girl working at a coffee shop but that’s my limited experience in a coastal city
/r/PurplePillDebate01/12/23 01:31 AM

Are people just telling you guys that the opposite sex is perfect growing up?? Opposite sex is still people. People generally suck

/r/PurplePillDebate01/12/23 01:03 AM

I thought I saw something that the more partners you have the more likely to divorce generally. But the likelihood of divorce actually goes down if you have 2ish partners instead of just one. So based on that, should men avoid virgins?

Most romantic thing I’ve done: Flew out to surprise guy I was dating for his birthday and got us a long weekend trip just the two of us My college bf used to buy me flowers every time I had a test and bring them to my work or class. One time the test was schedule for a Saturday so I had no work or classes. When I got out of the test there was a massive bouquet and a note waiting. It was cute 🥰

Puka she’ll necklaces. Also skinny jeans
/r/PurplePillDebate30/11/23 08:06 PM
2

It was trashy behavior but it was at a top 20 us university. The guy was more socially inept than anything. But didn’t seem to want to even try to change his behavior Even well off people can behave badly. Frankly I find more drama and pettiness from wealthy friends than middle-class
/r/PurplePillDebate30/11/23 06:53 PM
1

I’ve set up plenty of guy friends. One of which married the girl I introduced him to and two other couples are still dating. If you can’t see the problem with his behavior then you may want to reconsider how you behave around your friends
/r/PurplePillDebate30/11/23 06:49 PM
1

Had to drop a few guy friends over this behavior. One would always obnoxiously ask what the gender ratio was whenever he was invited anywhere and then pester me for other girl’s phone numbers that I knew weren’t interested in him or already in relationships
/r/PurplePillDebate30/11/23 05:21 PM

I work in STEM making over 6 figures (on the lower end) but in a high cost of living area. Got enough to rent a decent one bedroom but not enough to buy a house here. The sad thing is that I want to move to London but would have a 30% salary decrease adjustment to do so within the same company :(
/r/PurplePillDebate30/11/23 05:14 PM

I’m mid twenties and have been asked a few times what high school I go to. I find it has a lot to do with what I’m wearing and if I do my makeup that day
/r/PurplePillDebate28/11/23 08:59 PM

I think there’s a big difference between a healthy relationship with a parent and being completely dependent on them or them on you. For example, I dated a guy in college who was close to his mom. All seemed great until he wanted to come visit my family in another city before Christmas. (Not over Christmas, but a few days before and he’d be back home by the 22nd). His mom threw a fit. Called him multiple times while we were driving to my family’s house. Eventually he just told her he’d come home…
/r/PurplePillDebate28/11/23 08:41 PM

My boyfriend picks my clothes a ton and I like it. He’s done it plenty in front of my friends and family and nobody bats an eye. It’s not a big deal. He tends to dress up more than I do

Dark triad isn’t gender specific. Both men and women can display all three behaviors
/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/23 04:46 PM
1

Not sure. There seems to be research that the two go hand and hand even within the same narcissistic individual, and the studies I’ve seen for attraction doesn’t separate them out
/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/23 04:40 PM
2

From my limited knowledge, there are two types of narcissism: narcissistic grandiosity and narcissistic vulnerability Grandiosity is correlated with extra version and vulnerability is correlated with introversion
/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/23 02:07 AM
0

But again, they generally don’t. The only dark triad trait that show consistent attraction across relationships is narcissism
/r/PurplePillDebate18/11/23 10:08 PM
2

Did you actually read the study? They only saw this association with short term relationships and it was a tiny correlation that includes no impact within the confidence interval Machiavellianism was largely negative as well This one is interesting too but it won’t let me share the entire article https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0191886912005363?via%3Dihub
/r/PurplePillDebate18/11/23 10:07 PM
1

Well you read it on Reddit so it must be true
/r/PurplePillDebate18/11/23 09:54 PM
7

Women aren’t generally attracted to dark triad traits. Narcissism is the only one that produces this effect while psychopathy and Machiavellianism don’t. This would make sense as narcissistic people tend to be more physically attractive, stylish, social, and confident. So I’d expect that women are interested in those associated traits
/r/PurplePillDebate18/11/23 05:19 PM
1

Again, reciprocating how? That has nothing to do with the topic. My first comment was about offering to split but being appreciative if a guy pays. Your whole argument is bizarre and yeah it makes you come across negatively
/r/PurplePillDebate18/11/23 05:13 PM
1

Twenty year olds? Basically none. People in their twenties? About .5% of the US But it depends on your location. I can name 12 people now who I know personally with TCs above 500k and in their twenties. (Granted all are at least 27) There would be more but I’m not 100% sure of their income
/r/PurplePillDebate18/11/23 03:13 AM
1

There are plenty of people making more than 500k in their twenties. Go to NYC and SF Not common, but they certainly exist
/r/PurplePillDebate18/11/23 02:26 AM

No. I don’t think I generally care but 100 is concerning

/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/23 07:35 AM

You’re literal response was mocking "I like men who put in more work and effort than I do". Yet you have no evidence of that whatsoever. You’re projecting your own negative experience onto me when I’ve given you no reason to do so. It makes you sound bitter and sad
/r/PurplePillDebate16/11/23 05:35 PM
2

Standard after years of marriage? You don’t see the implication?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/11/23 05:34 PM
21

I’ve never cheated and never will. But if I’m married to a man for several years and then suddenly he asks for a paternity test, the trust is gone and the relationship takes a major hit. It’s like if I suddenly out of the blue asked him to take an STD test after several years of marriage just to be sure
/r/PurplePillDebate16/11/23 07:28 AM

I love planning dinner parties. But then by the end of it I’m mentally ready for bed and just want my friends to gtfo of my house
/r/PurplePillDebate16/11/23 05:32 AM

Again, there are biological differences that impact how we experience sex. Only 10% of 12,000 women surveyed said they finish during first time hookups for example Imagine that sex was pegging instead. Yeah, some men would probably still enjoy random hookups, but for many, the experience is likely going to be more painful than pleasurable Basically, there is a pretty obvious experience difference between fucking someone and being fucked
/r/PurplePillDebate15/11/23 01:41 AM
1

It’s not due to vetting. It’s due to biology genius. Sex for women is an entirely different experience than sex for men
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/23 06:44 PM
1

That has nothing to do with my point
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/23 05:24 PM

I’m not arguing about that. Just pointing out that easier access to sex from randos isn’t really a privilege to most women as it’s more likely to be painful than pleasurable
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/23 05:30 AM

I don’t think men understand that sex with a random person is more likely to be painful than pleasurable for a woman
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/23 05:07 AM
6

Even I know that’s bullshit
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/23 05:00 AM

Lol mr beast is easily the least attractive in that video so by that standard he’s about a 5.5 Guy on the right id put a 7 and guy with the beard is about a 6/6.5
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/23 08:56 PM
1

He’s not a 7/10 in any way shape or form How would you rate the other guys in the video then?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/23 07:19 PM
1

I don’t consider 70% of people to be average. And I can’t help you in terms of your own looks. I wouldn’t put him in the top 10% of the average category. Top 20 sure but only because of his height. He’s facially pretty unattractive which is why so many women call him ugly
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/23 05:39 PM
1

Average is a large category. So either you’re both average or you might be a tad below. He’s literally the least attractive guy in this ad https://youtu.be/vte27gtzDeU?si=o5WWl856l_YMQ1Gw The guy to the right is a bit above average. Guy to the left is also average
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/23 12:50 AM
1

Not always. I do think it’s probably a bad thing most of the time though. It’s important to me to feel secure in whatever relationship I’m in or pursuing. If he’s entertaining other girls at that stage then I’d rather not waste his time
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/23 12:20 AM

Jennifer Garner is above average for her age imo. Megan fox looks crazy now Average I think Amy Poeler or Jenny Slate
/r/PurplePillDebate10/11/23 11:20 PM

My bf gets an insane amount of interest from gay men. Women too but the most obvious flirting have been from other guys Probably partially because men tend to be more forward in pursuing
/r/PurplePillDebate10/11/23 11:16 PM

Had a guy I was really into tell me he was also seeing someone else. We had been going out for a few months and I was starting to consider a serious relationship. Idk I just lost interest immediately and the next day said we should probably call it. Surprisingly he then tried to ask to be exclusive but I declined I’m not bothered by people dating others especially in the early stages of getting to know someone. But when I realized that maybe I was much more invested it was a good sign to move on
/r/PurplePillDebate10/11/23 11:13 PM
1

That’s not what I meant and you should know that. Idk why you’re so upset with Mr. Beast being average for his age group. There’s nothing wrong with that
/r/PurplePillDebate10/11/23 10:11 PM
1

That’s not how it works
/r/PurplePillDebate10/11/23 07:03 PM
1

He’s literally the least attractive guy in this video https://youtu.be/vte27gtzDeU?si=MXOHLkeXR8NdiQsf He’s not ugly. He’s just average. Height isn’t going to help you much if you have an unattractive face. Still average
/r/PurplePillDebate10/11/23 05:15 PM
2

One of my unpopular opinions is that most people with dogs should not be dog owners
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/23 10:43 PM

No. I’m saying that the the “average” bucket encompasses a large portion of the population and he falls within that bucket imo. He’s nothing special to look at
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/23 10:39 PM
1

Height is only part of it. He’s unattractive in the face. Most people are average. If it’s a normal distribution then 68% fall within just one standard deviation from true average. I’m saying he falls in that particularly when you filter for his age group and country
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/23 07:54 PM
2

Hmm agree to disagree but I’m looking specifically at his age group in the US. If you were to expand to the entire world population then yeah I could see him being top 25% or so
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/23 07:26 PM
1

Yeah they’re stupid. But for a 25 year old guy he’s nothing special
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/23 07:06 PM
1

Fame has nothing to do with it. Most people are average and he falls in that camp imo. Even with the height
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/23 07:05 PM
1

AP World was such a joke imo
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/23 05:18 PM

I almost exclusively go for skinnier guys but I’m very thin myself. For some reason I think they age better
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/23 05:17 PM
4

Above average? He’s pretty damn average for a 25 year old imo
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/23 05:13 PM
1

Probably the trad guy. HOWEVER the modern guy you described does much better with hypersexual women So basically depends on how you define dating success. Get a gf or get hookups?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/23 04:15 PM
1

I’m aware it’s above average. I’m mid-twenties and I’m only just a tad below myself in the same area though not a software engineer. I haven’t had any problem in the past dating others with that salary expectation, but I think it’s fairly dependent on what circles you run in
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/23 08:39 AM
2

TC. Fairly reasonable for my area imo
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/23 08:10 AM

I’m sorry that’s terrible. If it were it were me I would end it. I don’t think I’d ever be able to trust my significant other again
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/23 06:55 AM
1

I don’t give my friends any details or send screenshots of texts. But I do care what they think. If I bring a guy I’m seeing to meet my friends and they privately tell me they don’t like him or think we are a bad match, that’s probably enough for me to reconsider the relationship.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/23 06:53 AM
2

I’m just a tad under that myself in my mid-twenties and expect to exceed that by 31 in my industry. I want a certain lifestyle for myself and future family that is really only attainable in a duel income household where we are both contributing excellent salaries Nice round number BF could be making more at a company but wanted to try his hand at starting something. I’m happy to pick up the slack in our relationship while he does so.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/23 06:44 AM
2

So? There’s plenty of millionaire engineers who also have gfs. you’re still more likely to get a girlfriend than become a millionaire in your twenties. You’re delusional if you think it’s generally easier to become a millionaire.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/23 02:36 AM
2

What percent of 19/20 year olds do you think are virgins? What percent do you think are millionaires?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/23 01:43 AM
4

Wtf? You are much more likely to get a gf than become a millionaire/billionaire in your twenties
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/23 01:27 AM
1

The vast majority of people have relationships. But those relationships are almost always within the same socioeconomic class. And that’s totally ok. You’re not going to have a chance with everyone. Nobody does. But you’re probably going to have a chance with plenty of others that match more closely to your own background and lifestyle
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/23 01:24 AM

No. He’s a much better dresser than I am though and I let him pick a lot of my outfits It’s controlling if you get demanding about it. Or there’s consequences. Like “if you don’t wear this then I’ll X”
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/23 12:53 AM
1

I’d expect at least $250k at 31 if in my same area and industry
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/23 12:50 AM

Yes it’s very important to me. The number depends on how old he is. For example, if I’m dating a guy a few years younger then I’m down to be making more. There are exceptions. Current bf is working on a startup so makes basically nothing and I cover most of our couple expenses That being said, I’m not interested in men making insane money. They tend to have issues from my experience

I’ve actively sabotaged a red pill guy from dating my friend after I let her know he paid for hustler university and showed her what it was. Would never let any Andrew Tate fan anywhere near a hypothetical daughter

Yeah but op is talking specifically about Hinge

Not necessarily. But if your past gfs were hot then you’re probably also hot
/r/PurplePillDebate08/11/23 08:04 PM

Yeah, but it’s not meant to be fair. Plus if they introduced weight preferences it would likely drive away at least some of their female user base. Bad for hinge as they already have significantly more men

Reciprocate how? Say I go on a first date with someone, offer to pay for dinner and they decline. How then do you expect me to reciprocate that on the date? I don’t expect anyone to give me something in return when I do something nice for them. That sounds manipulative

You wouldn’t hold a woman who went out of her way to do something nice for you in higher regard than a woman who didn’t?

I picked that age range because OP is talking about single 30+ women. If you’re talking about single mothers who eventually marry others, you’re right that happens. But that’s not related to OP’s point

0% or single mothers between 35 and 59 are married to the father of their kid. That’s what single mother means

I think they may be true for a subset of women. But it depends pretty heavily on their socioeconomic status imo

Planning two dates for the same time sounds risky.

I’m supportive of affirmative action only if there is a poverty element as well

100% of first dates I’ve offered. Only about 20% take me up on it including when I insist on paying. But why does that matter? If someone is doing a service to me, I’m going to hold them in a higher regard than someone who doesn’t do that service. Everything else held constant. Expectation/entitlement would be me not acknowledging the person paying for me. You’re saying that it doesn’t matter to you at all if somebody goes out of their way to do something nice for you?

It’s not the expectation or entitlement. It’s a gift and it’s not for nothing. The man who pays did more for me than a man who didn’t. Just like a woman who buys you dinner did more for you than a woman who didn’t. All other things remaining equal

Only 9% of women 35 to 59 in the U.S are single mothers. How are you getting this “most likely have a child or two from?”

The median age of first marriage is increasing over time. Currently over 30 for men and over 28 for women. I it will continue to be normal for people to wait to couple up until their thirties due to career, family, or other reasons and not necessarily because there is something wrong with them. I know plenty of great men and women who were focused on their careers, travel, and education in their twenties only to become more serious in their late twenties/early thirties. That being said these peo…

Tiny shorts are a bit overkill imo. It does feel so much better to run on a treadmill without a bunch of fabric riding up though.

My boobs are pretty small so I feel like I can get away with wearing a sports bra without it being overtly sexual. I hate running with a T-shirt though. The material is distracting

Ask nicely. Not my more you can do. Also going through I him after a test and asking to go over it so you don’t make the same mistakes in the future tends to help. Some teacher want to see you try to improve rather than just ask for a grade bump

I have had friends with zero experience and I remember thinking they were great people and wondering why. A few later displayed really shitty behavior which basically explained why and I dropped them as friends. Others eventually just got experience

Bumble has the second largest dating market share. If you were correct, you’d expect them to have an increase in female users as well
/r/PurplePillDebate06/11/23 10:24 PM

I don’t think it works for 100% of women either. I have a few friends at Bumble and one at Raya and they both say women’s usage has dropped big time. They will continue to show some women’s profiles even after they’ve removed their account to haven’t logged on in 6 months

It’s an ick when they let it majorly impact their life. One guy I knew in college would let it ruin his whole weekend if his favorite team lost and it was incredibly unattractive. Like he’d have to cancel plans because he was so pissed about it

I think the spark inevitably will fade. Life gets monotonous and you get comfortable. Different stages and challenges can make romance drop on priority. I don’t think that’s a bad thing though. But I think expecting it to always stay the same is setting yourself up for disappointment

I think men have less pressure to decide on kids and so they are more likely to put it off and thus come across that they care less about it than women. Many guys I know in their twenties will vaguely say they want kids or aren’t really thinking about it at all vs many women who have already made up their mind

I’ve always at least offered. If I’m positive I don’t want to go out again, I’ll insist on splitting or just covering all of it. Not going to lie though, a man does get extra points in my book if he pays.

Flirting, spending excessive and inappropriate levels of emotional energy on somebody else, keeping another person on the back burner as a backup, etc. it’s pretty grey though
