Its actually a complex question. For starters, you partly answered your own question. Men aren't a monolith. No group is. Hence, you will find people from one extreme to the other extreme and whatever is in between. It could be the type of men you are dating maybe you have a certain type and that type comes along with a certain expectation. Maybe? This comment section is full of sexist non-sense against mostly men. If you are woman who likes a guy and does not approach him because of some idea that only men should approach women then clearly you dont think you are equal to a man. The risk of rejection is a real thing and apparently only guys should bear the burden of that. You might as well just stay in the kitchen if you think that women arent equal with men.
