Our wives see us as teammates, not competitors. Any woman who feels in competition with men just can't have a healthy relationship with one, in principle.

But is it abuse or is it rape?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/05/24 05:32 AM

Not only that, rape culture by deduction means that there are cultural factors influencing people to rape instead of individuals deciding, on their own accord to rape. To tell me there's a rape culture is to tell me men shouldn't be accountable for their own auctions because they got influenced by external factors. So which one is it going to be?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/05/24 04:48 AM

You're correct. Is that evidence of rape culture?

Your link doesn't back what you said. Your link gives sources to national surveys that indicate the prevalence of spousal violence over the lifetime of the woman. Not murder, not sexual assault as criminally defined. In the surveys abused women are over represented in lower socioeconomic strata: again, poverty and economic hardship.

We tend to joke about this in our friend group on WhatsApp. Of all us men there, 8 people, we know that one of us has been abusive towards their partner at some point. We all know our life histories since we were teenagers. But we have ALL experienced abuse from our girlfriends at some point. Two of us received physical abuse.

No. I'm center right. My wife is left. She says "I'm a feminist, but a real egalitarian one. Not like those crazy women on the internet" She also mocks herself "I'm an independent woman that needs no-FUCK IT I NEED MY HUSBAND!!!!!" and we have feminist friends. They are all chronically single sort of waiting for a guy to come and tell them everythings ok, that they were right all along and that we men will do better. Nope. No one gives a fuck. The main problem with them is that they really have …

Just go to any dating sub. The amount of women posting how the catch feelings will the guy fades is vastly larger than men posting about this. I'm also a romantic and a monogamist, but let's be real here. On average, men fade more after sex. The reason is simple: men are hornier.

It really isn't. Taking the example of Spain, where we are reminded daily about rape culture and male on female violence (but never female on male), the probability of getting sexually assaulted is, statistically, 1 in 500.000. The probability of getting murdered by your partner is 1 in 1.000.000. Cases of assault and violence tend to be associated with alcohol, past history of abuse/violence, poverty, etc. We also know perpetrators are very few, but each of them commit most of the crimes. That'…

I thought the sexual revolution was all about free love from both MEN AND WOMEN. So now you wanna play it like women don't have to deal with the consequences of slutting around KNOWING that men tend to lose interest after sex if they don't like the girl enough? Aight.

Mentally stable people can't stay with mentally unstable people for long. Is that easy.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/24 08:31 AM

The only ones complaining are those who can't meet the standard. Which also tend to be the people with an external locus of control that doesn't let them take action to become better people. It's the male version of HAES and typical stuff.

are you saying that talking about these topics make women angry or bitter? Yes In your opinion are these things like overblown or what? Most are. The loss of reproductive rights in the US is inexcusable, but also expected from these wackos. And when you say can’t stop talking about what you’ve listed, are they being brought up in a way that you feel is irrelevant to the topic at hand? They are mostly irrelevant and oftentimes based on false premises. And a follow up, you said most girls you know…

Meh I just see internet feminists being annoying but tbh most girls I know in real life don't fit the stereotype. I guess I wouldn't make sense to try to make friends with man haters.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/24 07:18 AM

Seems this is all gone in our modern era. Princess treatment; simping, getting flown out, only fans; “I need a man who will support me when I step away from work to be with kids” That's just zoomer brain rot shit from TikTok. No regular woman is getting flown out and getting rich on onlyfans or having a rich dude supporting her lazy lifestyle.c Most women are studying hard and working harder asking themselves if they will ever be able to start a family.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/24 01:37 PM

I have seen all cases. Happens that first guy was a deadbeat, loser, abusive, etc. So she has to leave. It also happens that she's stressed and overworked while she feels the partner is not pulling his weight. I'm seeing a marriage falling apart right now because of this. The guy works how he has always worked, and is chill as he has always has been. She is the one that made a decision to change jobs and the new one is tearing her a new asshole. There's also no guarantee that someone wishing to marry isn't going to divorce your ass 3 years in. My partner and I took it slow for 8 years before marrying. We're having our first baby in two months. We were all in for living life together, but marriage wasn't in the plans. We had other things to do first. She found me early and it worked for her. I helped her with her career advancement to the point where she was satisfied and now baby time. I don't know maybe you aren't wife material 😬
/r/PurplePillDebate29/04/24 05:36 AM

There's a reason why they are. These ladies have undergone procedures and treatments to get to where they are. Good to have the technology carry these babies to term.

It's perfectly possible, but if it takes you 5 years to find the right person, you don't have a lot of time left at 30 when most people are already married or divorced with kids.

I totally agree that hurrying up will lead to disaster. I married the wrong woman because of that. Then I divorced her at 28 when she wanted to start having kids. However, I don't agree that women are fully aware. What we seem to forget or be unaware of is how much time it takes to find the right person. Edit: and the fact that by 30, a lot of people are already married or have divorced, many with kids. See how common it is here on Reddit for women and men to say "I stopped dating to focus on my…

I can. Feeling unsafe, harassment, confronting men on the streets, men being assholes. Go spend time in a dangerous South American country (where men kill men but not so much women) and you will see what it feels like. I can empathize with lonely women and insecure women. And I can empathize about the feeling you're just being used for sex.

Women are more likely to do household work even when the women earn more in comparison to their male counterparts. This also extends to degree holders and both of the genders earning the same. The question is why is that so? They are more bothered by the mess than we are.

I hate being alone. I have been in relationships most of my life since I was like 12. That doesn't mean I settle. I monkeybranch. I simply have a girlfriend until a better candidate comes in. Telegony is pseudoscience. What is proven to be real is epigenetics. That means the baby will be yours, but his phenotype will be affected by the environment the mother went through. For example, it is hypothesized that even if you and your partner are chill people, traumatic or stressful events during pregnancy may lead to the kid being more aggressive.

I don't see a solution other than some sort of cultural change we just can't see coming right now. We don't know what we don't know. But I don't think women are delusional, they are very logical in their reasoning: I want to have fun, I want opportunities, I want the freedom to decide what to do with my life, I want it all and I might as well try. /r/PurplePillDebate22/04/24 09:04 AM

I get it. I also get that people are far less empathic these days, more individualistic and less willing to deal with inconveniences. We cannot change that. I also agree mental illness is hard to change. Game seems locked. However, there's almost always a way out.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/24 09:02 AM

a possible solution? What? To what? There is no "solution" for these people. A possible solution to people like you, with mental illness, being lonely. You provide something below: by not being selfish. My mental illness affects me, no one else. I'm not going to entertain your questions until you answer mine. Ok. Answering your questions. No. I don't think people should be left alone. No one should be left alone in an ideal world. But the world is not ideal. And you are horribly mistaken playing your mental illness as some sort of mild inconvenience that the other person just needs to tolerate. People unprepared to deal with mentally ill people can suffer horribly. And most people are unprepared. Hell, even doctors can get wrecked by so…
/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/24 08:14 AM

To me, it's about life stages. If we both graduated from uni and are working, it doesn't matter if the age gap is 1 or 15 years, we're both adults doing the same. Experience at this point matters less than vision and life outlook. When I met my now wife she was fresh out of her master's looking to do PhD while I was already 6-7 after master's and almost a decade after graduation. We both knew school was over, both knew it was time to get to work and develop professionally (for her). We were both…

I have been an excellent salsa dancer my whole life. My cousins taught me because they needed a reliable partner to go dance with and most boys wouldn't do it. Guess what, girls were literally queueing to dance with me in clubs. I would go to clubs with 4-5 girls and just dance all night. Does that mean they were all into me? Of course not, they just wanted a nice dance partner because dancing is fun. Did that increase my attractiveness and chances to find someone? Absofuckinglutely, all my life…

And we LOVE scaring each other out online. You'll be alone! You're potentially a predator! Spinster! Creep! Saggy old hag! Dusty old dude. Haven't we had enough? You don't have to wait until the future, con can already see this in western cultures with high levels of inequality. You can also look at the past in your own culture, where men used to be sole providers. In these instances, a cheating man is tolerated more sometimes. Better to have a cheater with money than being alone if being alone means abject poverty.

Oldest trope in the book. Women like dominant men. Women now are becoming dominant and men are becoming submissive. Thus, women can't find men that gets them horny and men can't make women horny. That's why they don't lead. That's why they expect us to lead.

It kinda does. Yes, there are women who shoot their shot and go for the men they want, but I have heard countless times women saying "I want him to ask me out" or "I want to be picked". In fact, "pick me" as an insult is used by women against women, never by men and against men. We have been together 8 years before we decided to conceive. We are very much in love and we have worked hard together. If this marriage was supposed to crash, it should have happened already. Well, most women don't want to think of themselves as "for entertainment only". That hurts. No one likes to feel they aren't worthy of love and companionship. But, at the same time women still tend to ask for commitment in exchange for sex in one way or another and this is when we say that's ridiculous. The same way a man can't expect to access to a woman just because he is spending 💰 on her (but somehow many women expect the guy to pay for dates), women can't expect men will commit just because…

My friends and I open up. We talk about feelings, become vulnerable, advise each other bluntly. Tough love is needed. Reactions differ. Some go on introspection and then you see them change. Some get angry and disappear and come back 2 weeks later. Of course we need someone to talk to. Therapists are so widespread because people are just paying to have someone to listen to them. It's fundamental.

Withhold sex has funny, unintended consequences and tbh I highly recommend it. If you withhold sex they will hamster-wheel into thinking you're not that much into them or that you might be gay. In my experience, women. Both men and women suffer, but in different ways, in my experience. Men suffer from loneliness, lack of touch, liking someone and not being liked back. It's more of an immediate need. Women suffer from the above AND the existential problem of losing their fertility. For some reason, men are more aloof and ambivalent about kids.

All we need is a little bit of empathy. Empathy doesn't mean we have to agree with them. It just means we have to put ourselves in their shoes for a moment. You're a girl that attracts people, you can have your pick in casual sex, and most of the guys just see you as a piece of meat and aren't really deep and interesting. Power is your capacity to control others while preventing others controlling you. To have power, you need to have means to motivate others to action. That motivation comes from them trusting you, fearing you or trading with you. Trust gives you long term benefits, trading as well, fear only works for a while. Masculinity has little to do with it. But masculine men that are competitive want to get into positions of power. Powerful people happen to be masculine, not the other way around.

No. Relationships in general are about trust versus fear. Love is driven by trust. Let's focus on power: People in power are looked after because they instill trust in people. If you are in power, that means many people trusted you enough for you to get there. But power without trust gives relationship very short legs. If you are a man, you have to do anything in your power to gain trust. Women need to feel relaxed and safe around you. Power and status is a guarantee of trust given by others. So…

Prenup happens because either 1) there's no trust. It almost never is. Any good negotiator knows this. The best negotiators know it's about making the other side feel safe and with a sense of control and ownership so you can work together a solution, even if the solution is not what the other side wanted in the beginning. It's all about trust. Men have to be excellent negotiators, and only use bravado or violence in response to it when there's no other choice between that and losing status. No one likes a bully.

It really is smoke and mirrors with many women. I think it's wired into them. Deception, diplomacy, backstabbing, pretending. Men have the physical strength and the testosterone to jump into physical conflict if it gets to that point, women can't do that, so they resort to always moving away from violence, but that doesn't make them less competitive. Here's the bottom line with female sexuality: if I want that guy, I can have him, but I need to make sure he's not going to kill me. It's not rocke…

Could it be that the humble, loyal, low drama type of guy is frankly considered to be too boring by a large portion of the population considering what dopamine junkies everyone is these days? Mature, mentally stable women prefer this. Or do many women deep down desire a guy who's more emotionally volatile, brash, outspoken, unpredictable, spontaneous, dramatic etc in a way that a genuinely nice guy simply isn't? If all women are equal/equally valuable all women can be confident and avoid the feeling of shame. No one can be made to "feel" lesser than. Whether or not it's true doesn't matter, because the psychological consequences of feeling lower status are perceived to be worse than the actual material conditions of lower status. "Feeling bad" about being fat, or promiscuous, or whatever is what they want women to be able to avoid. Their social campaigns and social pressure are remarkably effective. Fat…

Liberal and intersectional feminists just want to do damage control to protect young women from being punished too harshly for their mistakes. Young women attract a lot of attention so the shit they do is more heavily judged by society. No one cares if a 65 year old gambles their life savings away or buys a bunch of hookers or whatever. So why don't they just say so? "Cut us some slack we're dumb af". Instead we get all this bullshit about brain development and empowerment and the patriarchy.

Don't worry, I understand your point and I agree with it. But, I didn't make myself clear enough. My relationship was logistically difficult because we were long distance for a long time. So we traveled a lot and made a lot of sacrifices to be together. That's what was hard. All the driving, sleepless nights commuting, and having my team unhappy with how much remote work I was and still am doing. Together, it's been pure bliss, never had an argument.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/04/24 04:24 PM

And that's why I fight hard for my marriage. When my wife asks what I am doing on these types of subs on Reddit, my answer is to never lose awareness of how lucky we are.

I'd say so.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/04/24 03:20 PM

Yep. I saw my wife 9 years ago how mentally stable and healthy she was and scooped her immediately. She always tells me she appreciates how hard I struggled to keep our relationship afloat, but she doesn't understand how motivated I was to not have to go try with some potential wacko.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/04/24 03:20 PM

I have come across this. My conclusion is that we are bundling two types of women into one. There are women who have a small mental load battery. These women don't want to complicated their life with complex issues, are anxious, and their glass is always full. An extra mental load from someone overflows it. It's like they are in a constant state of burnout. Social media warps their view. The women complaining about emotionally unavailable men haven't made peace with the fact that they haven't be…

That only applies to women that rejected you when you were younger and now are coming back. Yeah nah. You can't hold against women you have never met in your life. I could say younger than late 20's. But what's most important is not the beauty itself, which in some women can lad until their 50's and even beyond. If the relationship is healthy, the couple remains in love for decades, regardless of the wrinkles. The man knows his wife is worth a million times more than a younger girl. What's most important is that a good relationship take years to develop to a point where marriage and children are desired. Women run against the clock and men don't feel the p…

The problem is the literal internet-fueled fuckfest we got into. Everyone now loves sex and to have a wild sexy life and every is about sex but no one wants to deal with the consequences that this fuckfest culture generates, such as: 1) The perceived loss of loyalty from both sides: all men are pigs all women are hoes. A traditional woman hasn't been feasible since the 60's. A traditional woman was a woman that had to keep the house running because the husband was grinding his ass at the factory all day. She was playing support, ensuring the husband was relaxed, well fed and a clean house to back to. No one wants that these days. 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔 I haven't really thought about that one. But now that you mention it. Progressives are just about questioning the establishment. If the establishment was about shaved bodies in women and moustaches in men, whelp, there you have it. Where many progressives miss the mark is on personal freedom. In their righteousness, they start gatekeeping their views. For example, feminists as a group can't decide if a woman wanting to stay at home mom is the result of the patriarchy influencing women or …

Anecdote: two days ago I had to take my wife to the ER (she's fine now). We're in a European country heavy on campaigning against "gender violence". At the ER, there was an info sign to help women assess if they were in a potentially dangerous relationship. These were things like: 1) if he's constantly asking you where you are, who you are with and what you're doing. 2) if he controls, or tries to control how you spend your money 3) if he constantly talks down at you in front of his friends and …

I just turned 40. This has been my experience since I started dating at 12. The school years were easy and nice. We're all too young to care about the bigger things in life. University years is where it got harder. I was in engineering school. 9 guys for every girl. Money and status starts to become important. The most attractive girls were being selective of the hot guys or the guys with fancy cars, etc. Early career years were an eye opener. Girls that would have never given me the time of the…

They aren't maturing faster. They aren't developing careers which leaves them with family creation as a form of securing their identity in society. I have come to the realization this is why relationship flourish or fail. You need to puzzle in personalities in the right way, align people on the same values, for working relationships to flourish…

I believe many men's disgust threshold towards sex is extremely low when they are horny. I know men that will fuck anything. I know men that only go for what they really like. Then, I believe men have much higher standards when choosing a partner for a relationship. The evidence is more than clear. Men desire for sex and women desire more commitment. On average of course. I think it's just a sign of immaturity. It's bad enough to put up with it. Numbers are actually the opposite to a cold calculation. Instead, numbers is an attempt to make a simple rule out of intuition. But intuition is fuzzy and hard to fully describe to detail. There are many features that make someone a 7, but the 7 is the fuzzy sum of the parts, not a sum of a score from broken down pieces. Checklist are an attempt to profile someone as someone that is functional at the level we are. Because these tools are fuzzy you have to keep them at a shallow level.

/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/24 02:25 PM

Nope. The ick is there. Attraction continues to be largely driven by instinct. That's why tall guys are more accepted, that's why status matters, that's why younger women are more desired, etc etc etc. It's all the same instinctual programming. We can't stomach promiscuous women and one of our worst fears is unknowingly raising children that aren't ours.

This seems like heaven from a man's perspective, but they are not men. They don't care about this and they don't want this. The upside is, if you really hit it up with someone looking for casual sex, then it's great because you can focus on that without the rest of the drama. But then, you can also omit and lie. Whatever happened to the old days where men used to ask women to be their girlfriends? Exclusivity was requested because that was the only way to access to sex. You don't need to do that now. You can date, have sex, see if feelings develop and decide if exclusivity is worth it. Most of the times women attach sooner than men when good sex is on the table. This gives men who are good in bed an advantage on picking who to commit to. Which such as advantageous scenario, why try something else? Men t…

There are many angry, frustrated women out there indeed. I understand why they are frustrated, but that's as much their fault as it is men's. Men just walk away and ghost without saying much in my experience

Be alpha still. Work as if you wanted to become the most successful manwhore on earth. Alpha is what gets you the foot in the door and allows you to have several candidates. Then, take your pick and take your time to cultivate something with someone. You can ditch those promiscuous ones with tinder brain. Go for the mature, calm, 5, 6 or 7s that grew up in a loving household with a present father. Don't pretend to find someone that's going to do your laundry and clean after your shit. Don't hope…

It's the opposite. You want to filter out women with a chip on their shoulder, short temper, closed minds and a TikTok view of the world. You want open minded women which can have deep conversations and control their emotional impulses during uncomfortable conversations. Small talk away. Or big talk if you want, be the one that ditches them if they don't make the cut.

No. It's just that they don't care. They simply don't give sex the same urgent importance we men feel about it. Women get touch starved and lonely, but they don't suffer at same level as men. Don't take my word for it. Women marriage counselors that understand men know that, if wives want to destroy their husbands, they just need to withhold intimacy from them

Women have always dictated the rules of the game because they have the pussy and tits. Women prefer to stay single because now they reach higher status than most men and they of course don't date down.

There's a huge bias from both sides in this debate. Both sides often fail to recognize that the other side is taking actions based on sane logic. If men aren't putting effort, there's logic behind it. If women aren't putting up with low effort, there's also logic behind it. We somehow took the position of seeing both sides as antagonists of each other, and you can root this back to logic. There's also logic in each side simply to give up and not to see what the other side has to say. Why? Becaus…

The market is the market. There are archetypes that are more desirable than others, whether you like it or not. So no, men cannot just be loved for who they are if what they are means fat, poor, uneducated and unwashed. Women cannot afford to be much different from the archetypes either. Fat? Only used for sex. Ugly? Ignored. Competitive and manly? Ignored. Wrinkly? Ignored. Single mom? Ignored. Purple hair? Ignored. Black? Certainly more ignored in comparison. Can women get sex easily? Yes. But…

Reddit is extremely allergic to cheating and infidelity. The good thing is, Reddit is not real life. In real life, everyone will either cheat or get cheated on at some point in life. As you say op, perfectly understandable. I was in a dead bedroom marriage. Cheated on her one night, came home, asked for a divorce. She never knew. I ended up with the other woman for a couple years. I found she cheated on me. So I cheated on her, left her for someone 8 years younger, and here I am, happily married…

Because up until now, it's not an issue. Perhaps if we continue the trend of having babies at later stages in life, we will reach the point of this becoming relevant. But for now, we're all more concerned about women's fertility because it completely stops a decade sooner, while men's only declines, but doesn't reach zero. And of course everyone knows stories of old guys impregnating women so there's that.

I don't know. My wife is 8 years younger than me, my dad is 10 years older than my mom, my brother constantly dates girls 10-12 years younger than him, my grandpa was 20 years older than his late wife. Seems to be working for us. And the data doesn't show about successful pairings it shows about who would men or men prefer to date. Women date across and above their status. Men across and down. It's proven by research.

I'd say pretty hard. I'm not saying average height guys. I'm talking about shorter than average. Things only become impossible if you give up. I have seen most short friends ending up marrying someone, but they never stood a chance dating women with the same frequency as the taller guys.

Absolutely they do, if their goal is to settle down. Not necessarily because they become unattractive, but because both them and men become more exigent. That happens at the same time the fertility window closes. Meanwhile, men's attractiveness doesn't dwindle as much while still being able to regain most of their fertility and cater to women +- 10 years. In simple terms, men aren't really in a hurry, and women are. That's the penalty.

It is wrong to settle to an extent. Our core values define who we are, dictate most of our behavior and makes us feel when something is right or wrong. Betraying your values for a woman, for friends or for a business that gives you a job is a recipe for disaster. As long as your values are aligned, go wild. Doesn't matter if the woman doesn't fit more superficial criteria, you will make it work. An obese person and a fit person operate on different behaviours. Those behaviours are often driven b…
