How TF can one entire group of people be "not subject to discrimination"? Just think of the implications of that statement. Do they even know what the word means? It's like refusing ginger people to enter your store and say "we do not consider gingers to be subject to discrimination". That's not how any of that works. Unfortunately that's exactly how anti-discrimination works in the US, it's not universal, it only covers "protected categories", if you're not part of any of those categories they'…

That's why I'm excited to see Kim Ju Ae succeed Kim Jong Un as the new, female leader of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. Although, as leftists we should stop demonizing non-western countries. I'm not defending North Korea, I just want the left to be "deliberalized". We live in an empire, which is "democratic" only by name, it's hypocritical to judge how other countries decided to run themselves.

Why is that? I don't necessarily disagree, I just never heard of this argument before.

Bucha massacre Veeery suspect. Look, the truth is that the Nazi squads that are part of the Ukrainian army (they do exist, don't try to deny it), have a genocidal intent towards the Russian part of the population. That's what Nazis do, that's who Nazis are.

"bY oThEr MeN!" Except no, also by women. But even if it was only by other men, think of how this kind of people behave when women discriminate other women. Do they just ignore it? No, they stil treat it as a big problem to solve.

Here's an unusual perspective: it sucks for him, but when your fetish is funny people will make fun of you. And his fetish is objectively funny. I do not hate the guy but how can you not find his pictures hilarious? Having said that, I don't think he cares about a bunch of so called leftists (actually, they're culture warriors more than anything else) being hateful against him. As the saying goes: “Your boos mean nothing, I've seen what makes you cheer”. P.S. as far as I know he's also a cuck, s…

Absolutely. But I was thinking about a situation in which a man and a woman of around the same age do not know each other, like in a potentially unwanted approach, or even in a first date with a stranger. In that case it's the woman who feels more threatened, since the man can easily physically overwhelm her (if he's that kind of guy, and she doesn't know yet if he is or not).
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates05/07/25 05:45 AM

And I think when you look at the situation fairly, you see that women have power over men and the difficulties we face as men is about pushing back against that power. Yours is a pretty rare position, the mainstream of the left, especially in Anglo countries, still acts like it's the XIX century regarding men/women relationships. The answer is to bring modern leftists back to leftism, not turn to the right. Sure, I'm with you on that (although I have no illusions)

They're the same people who tend to call right wingers "mouth breathers", which is peak irony because they're offending people that could be breathing with their mouth due to respiratory problems. That should be the problematic term, not stupid. Stupid is unambiguous and it's not a medical term anymore.

I’m sorry to inform you that the traditional left no longer exists in Europe. While the level of polarization between men and women hasn’t yet reached the extremes seen in America, most mainstream left-wing European parties are now fully liberal, focusing primarily on social issues. In fact, they get their votes mostly from the upper class and the affluent elite. P.S. Kier Statmer has already started to talk about the dangers of "loners". From loners to incels it's a short step.

You lack an understanding of what a misandrist society looks like You too. A sciety that doesn't care about men is a misandrist society. A misandrist society where men are plastered in pornography, They're not? abused at the highest rates, expected to stay at home and support their wife? Wait, are you saying that women are expected to stay at home AND support their husbands at the same time? It's impossibile to do that. dont ever mistake r/AskFeminists as being representative of women of even academic feminism. I'm sorry, but academic feminism is pretty dark stuff, try to actually read some theories. Now, I'm not saying that all feminists or even the majority are not well intentioned, but where do you think the normalisation of men's hate comes from? I don't think that most of them are bad people, they've been indoctrinated, radicalised, if you will.

This is what's more insidious about him: he signals that he wants to be the savior of the 'lost toxic boys', but all he offers them is misandry and double standards. Most of those who come across him will get disappointed again and leave even more radicalized in their (potentially) antisocial behaviors.

Golden rule. If you have to tell people you are smart, you definitely ain't smart. That's what I was thinking when I saw the thumbnail for the first time. I have no higher education and I never thought you needed one one to understand that the outcast, mentally ill Joker is a loser, fucking duh! I'm not so sure about that, in fact, it could even be the opposite. The left has become aware that they've chased away the men's vote (especially young men) and they may want to do something about it. I'm pretty sure that their first instinct would be to set up some "reeducation campaigns" to teach men how to be obedient followers. But once even that fails they may want to return to Earth.

but if the GOP dropped that, America's Black population would almost universally be Republican. With Trump they had a good opportunity, but I guess it's hard to change something so radicated at all levels of the party and especially in the local population. Like, most of America's Black population is highly capitalist, This is evident to anyone who ever listened to rap music at least once in their lives.

As occasional follower of true crime I've started to notice the disparity of the sentences applied to men VS women on the American justice system. The women always get lenient sentences, if at all, even when they're the mastermind and the man is just the executor (it should be the opposite). And yet some people have attempted to paint her as a victim. This is the first thing female killers do, and shockingly, sometimes it works. The case I'll never forget is the "barbie and ken" serial killers. …

If an advertiser exploits a female body to sell products, it's harmful, but it's not (always) objectification — it's an exploitation of female (and, at the same time, male) sexuality Why is it harmful? What's the difference with exploiting any other kind of human urge? Unrealistic beauty standards in media are harmful, but they are not objectification — they are unrealistic beauty standards. Unrealistic beauty standards are not always actually unrealistic. I think that even in this case the term…

The DIFFERENCE is men experience this too. Unattractive girls have approached me IRL and I ignored them. But we don’t take a moment of non reciprocal attraction and turn it into a broader issue. I'd cut them some slack on this specific issue due to the physical power imbalance. Women can feel threatened by unwanted attention. I can see why they see this as a bigger problem than men do.

Your post is overall correct but you have some misconceptions about TERFS: Despite claiming to be a branch of feminism, the movement revolves entirely around discriminating against trans women - harassing/degrading them, As other people said, this is what they did/do to men too. The only difference is that they already won the battle against men and men's rights (and they know that), this is why it looks like their movement revolves around trans. The moral panic is also being driven largely by s…

What I don't understand is why more people don't see it like this. Because they both agree on hating men, the "trans-positive" feminists just carve out an exception for trans women. It's really that simple.

I think that directly calling out misandry and straight up telling them that they are sexist is more effective. Arguing about the percentage of bad men is accepting their framing.

So it claims to be gender-progressive, but it holds the same pearl-clutching gender stereotypes that have been around for millennia. You can say this also of the non-binary movement. They rely on gender stereotypes. I def agree that TERFism is about misandry. It is what I would call a regressive/conservative movement that pretends it is progressive. Sure, but it's not just TERFs. There is a fine line between feminism and female supremacy. Some cross it, some don't, but the ones that do are not n…

You're quite naive. Listen to this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WntY0N6ndxY&t=2s It's a bit long and the "good stuff" is towards the middle, so if you don't have time it's OK. Just know that this is how most TERFs are.

I tend to agree, it's not a good strategy. You may say "I am a woman" in order to not be ostracised, but if you don't also recite the full mantra of beliefs of their congregation they'll kick you out and harass you anyways. Just like it happens to black people who stray from the church of democrats: they call them coons, they even call them the n-word, they don't care. JKR is a good example in itself, it doesn't matter that she's a woman, wrongthink comes first.

But intersectionality isn't any better, on the contrary: (TE)RFs hate you because you're a man, intersectionalists hate you because you're a man, they also hate you because you're white (the majority of men are white in western countries), and they hate you some more because you're straight. They pay lip service to the intersection of class, but they don't really care about that. You're still privileged even if you live in a trailer park.

The Ukrainian military is being overseen by multiple international and foreign parties. While certainly there must be some abuse on the Ukrainian side (frankly it’d be a miracle of there wasn’t) I mean, this is exactly what the Israeli say. there is currently no evidence of systemic abuse by the Ukrainian military on Russian POWs Actually there is. Beware of propaganda though, don't believe it until it's confirmed by a credible source. Propaganda during war times is vicious, we've seen it with the "beheaded babies" or "mass rapes on October 7" Israeli hoaxes.

Just like they call JKR a fascist, which is absurd. BTW, I'm not on her side, I see the whole controversy as infighting between them. The whole reason why TERFs are anti trans is because of their burning hate for all men. I've heard a number of TERF interviewed and they all sound decently reasonable when they talk about medical stuff, but when they start to talk about men it comes out the crazy.

I just wanted to point out that 1523 isn't acting in good faith. That's why people went against it. Even if this was true, the correct response was to either allow men to use 1522 or to make 1523 for men official, so that they couldn't have any ground to complain anymore. The fact that instead of doing that the organization was straight up attacked is pretty suspect.

Fighting for equality is good in my book. What's wrong in extending the same "perks" to male victims too? Translated with Chat GPT (I manually checked it and it's accurate): "Angelo Pisani, who is the defense lawyer for the committee [email protected], clarifies that he is sorry for this misunderstanding. He emphasizes that the law is equal for everyone and violence cannot and should not be exclusive to one side. It's proportional to how far media are pushing the message. I see a progression. Initially it was just the far right and the (anti-idpol) far left that started to complain about "wokeness", then it was the turn of your run of the mill conservative, then most average white people started to notice. Now we're at a point that I'm seeing that even people of color are starting to get fed up with the media manufactured culture war. What men need are rights and respect (equal to women, not more), if the left can’t do that, the very basics for men, then they are not left, but a fascist matriarchal system, propping up their own agenda and in group, at the cost of the oppressed. I while ago I've listened to a true crime podcast about one of the worst serial killer couple ever caught. Guess what? she collaborated but she didn't get a slightly reduced sentence. She got away scot free: she's got a protected new identity, she re-married and lived her life as if nothing happened. The double standards in the Anglo world are insane.

This is not the first time I read about the equivalence men's rights = misogyny AND/OR male supremacy. Although, I wouldn't give it too much weight when this kind of rhetoric is espoused by some nobody blogger. Your comment feels like a big "no true Scotsman". I get you're well intentioned, but at some point you'll have to realize that some anti-male bias is inherent in feminist theory. Also, feminist theory is a defined ideology, it's not "whatever is good to achieve gender equality" as you seem to think. There is nothing wrong with women who demand to know how policies will benefit or affect them. You should be asking the same questions on policies that affect you. Ha, good luck with that. Have you…
