The former mentions calling emergency services and the emphasis is on how the wife feels, also mentioning feeling unsafe or in danger. The latter also places emphasis on how the wife feels, and doesn't at all mention emergency services or the husband's safety.

Why do people on the Internet always use little catch phrases and buzz words when arguing? Oh you got me man, being called a boot licker has upset me so much. Oh no. I believe that most news outlets use "sexual abuse" because it's more formal than "raped". And it's not like sexual abuse sounds good. The article also makes a point of saying how awful she is so I don't think they were defending her. I may be wrong though. I just tend to try not be emotive since that's exactly what feminists tend to do.
