I’m just confused why this is even a thing. People always say “it’s tradition” or “religious reasons” and that’s not answering the question. WHY is this acceptable if it’s not for a medical reason? For what purpose does it serve? I really don’t understand it.

Generalizing and stereotyping mass shooters does not help. I’ve heard so many times people casually say “so and so looks like a mass shooter” or “I better make friends with that guy so they don’t shoot me”. and they laugh about it. You’re just nitpicking and that’s what causes many issues as well. People pick through things and when you look hard enough into anything you’ll see something wrong with it. Egalitarianism literally means equally of all people’s. And I don’t see how that can be divisive. Saying you’re feminists or a believer in men’s rights sets you up for people to say you’re a misandrist or misogynistic, you’d have to be either of those things to not be in favor of egalitarianism. Just saying.

I’m an egalitarian so I don’t fit in with this sub based on a lot of posts I’ve read here but posts like this need to be upvoted to the stars. The “man up” thing really hits home, I’ve been told that by so many people. Men are expected to be some strong emotionless tool and if they show anything other than that they are seen as a danger to society or outcasts, typically by both other men and women. It’s baffling.

No, I think it’s that men think they should be superior and feel threatened that women will be equal. Men won’t be second class citizens and women be on top. There will be some women on top some men on top. I have a family full of misandrists. Three sisters who are extreme. So I know how radical feminists can be. It’s scary. But that doesn’t mean men should fight back in the same way. Equality means equality. It doesn’t mean female priority or male priority.

Mens rights, women’s rights, they should all work toward a singular equality of people not gender. Unfortunately we treat each other as if we are different species and it’s proven to be harmful to society on both sides. So pointing dingers at the other gender, it’s laughable and hypocritical.
