In our house, whoever thinks they're going to stay up the latest gets the couch. It's not even a punishment. Our couch is superior to our bed. This. I'm the opposite sex. I've always managed to work through it, and haven't had any super short relationships, but there's always a big drop in "the flame" after a few months. It can be hard to cope with, like any addiction, but it's possible. At least this person identified it as a problem, whereas many people just keep relationship hopping and blaming their exes without ever taking a look inward.

I agree. I have BPD and monogamy was a skill I had to teach myself. Fortunately I gained self-awareness and have spent years willfully working against all of the shit that comes with "splitting". I've been faithfully monogamous for 6 years, but before that I had a few really disastrous, unfaithful relationships that I can only blame myself for.

Strong truth. Anyone CAN change their weight, it's just more difficult for some more than others. There are no fat famine victims. But you literally can't change your height, barring leg-breaking surgery, which will only add an inch or two at best. I have two kids. Luckily, I'm not a single mom, but I completely anticipate that if anything ever happens to my relationship, nobody is gonna sign up for this shit. And that's perfectly fine.
