“We get shamed for it”. I’m sure this has happened but a negligible amount of the time. It is far more the case that most average women looks pasts the average man which is the biggest frustration men face. “Giving the unattractive man a chance we’d get shamed for it too”. Where? Can you give examples because I never see this dynamic in real life where you get shamed for dating a guy who’s under your league. If anything, her social circle and family asks smug questions like “why are you dating h…

Einstein? Oh so personal attacks now? I’m not surprised given the gender. Don’t know what you are trying to get at with the shallow comments. But all this could have been solved with a “yes I was referring to men”. Instead you respond with all these other word salads belaboring the argument.

This is the exact reason why I had asked “who were you referring to”. But do I think that you meant men? Probably.

Data to prove that the people who are getting upset are upset because the people that they want aren’t attracted to them. That seems to be a very false premise to set up. Hence why I asked if it’s the Men you are referring to with that. Because in my anecdotal experience, it’s much more the case that the man is approaching a woman around his looks or sexual level and the women isn’t attracted to him. Hence why I want your data to prove that said group of Men are getting upset because “they aren’…

I agree with this notion. In general, attraction is uncaring and unforgiving. Attraction is almost always exclusively involuntary and a biological response. “The spark”. I don’t call women shallow for this because they are trying to optimize their genetic off spring and it’s involuntary, HOWEVER, I do call them delusional when it’s obvious that a guy out of your league is not going to give you the commitment you seek. I find that the vast majority of women tend to be turned off by the average ma…

“I’m not attractive to the people I want” 2 questions. Would those “someone” you are referring to generally be men? If so, what data do you have to prove your claim?

“Exaggerated narratives” to be fair I’m sure theirs some truth to that claim. You do have your extremist with any group that forms with large numbers. You see this through history. Fair point. Although a “kernel” of truth is debatable. If I were give my honest view point (although this depends on who you watch) I would say about 70% or so is accurate.

Ehh that’s similar to someone trying to take away the number of their sexual partners they had because they have turned a new leaf. What has been done, has been done.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/01/26 08:15 PM

Honestly I wouldn’t even say that either. Men have to meet a stricter minimum standard of looks to date the woman than vice versa.

Well then she didn’t want to be friends with him to begin with. Her end goal was romance. She wanted to make sure she liked him for him before she actually tried to get into relations with him. That’s not friends.

I’m honest. You are more than likely not. Thats the difference between you and I.

If it’s physical then she should get a man that is around her current looks level. Realistic. If she isn’t attracted to that level of man she is qualified for, then my next piece of advice would be improving her physical attraction. If it’s a character thing, she should get a man that would gel well with her personality and qualities she likes in men.

Being in a romantic relationship isn’t social isolation. Socialization just doesn’t stop at friends. You call in insecurity, I call it self respect. By the way, who’s to say he doesn’t have male friends already? Why must it be a man and woman friendship?

I’m assuming you are saying physically attracted to?

Wouldn’t be a good choice for you. Everyone’s different.

Realistic in what she can demand in the dating market depending on where she stands. Obviously the person isn’t trying to stay single so that’s not an option.

Shouldn’t her standards be realistic depending on her circumstances though?

Even for a long term relationship, not just hook ups. Men have a stricter minimum looks/physical threshold to pass for the vast majority of Women before he even gets the chance. Even with the femboy point, that doesn’t disprove my point. Why would you find a highly attractive male with an average female? That’s not equally yolked. And I do see Men who are considerably more attractive than their female counterpart and they had to “settle” because women in today’s environment have way too many opt…

Their are bios on dating apps. But women don’t seem to care about that. They will swipe left regardless once they see you aren’t attractive enough to them.

Ahhh “He’s making too many valid points so I must brush it off to semantics”.

So men have to be deceptive now to approach women? You can’t be forthright from the start and approach a woman respectfully and state your intentions in an obvious way in today’s environment? Doesn’t this prove ops point? And btw, I actually agree with that approaching method.

Op how tall are you?

By definition isn’t a friendship strictly platonic? If you are self admitting that you’ve been shot down by friends and had any type of romantic feelings towards them (especially if you’ve expressed it to them), isn’t that not a friend anymore by definition?

The reason you gave sounds pretty “this for that” type of relationship to me.

Ehhh. I think “have realistic standards” is more conducive to more fruitful relationships.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/12/25 04:46 AM

So can her standards be unrealistic or realistic then depending on the woman and her circumstances?

Looks absolutely matter more to women and their pickiness on dating apps prove this. Most men will sleep with a wider range of all Women of all types, than vice versa.

Why are most men being friends with women to begin with in a normal circumstances? If anyone could explain this to me, I’d appreciate it.

Agreed.

“If she has attractive friends and you enjoy being around her then no it’s not really” Op, are you admitting that your friendship with women is conditional and contingent on if she has friends you are attracted to? Doesn’t sound like a friend to me.

Well op just said it. The mental anguish is too much. Fair.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/12/25 04:21 AM

Fair. Is it also not always painful if you are constantly reminded in the back of your mind that you are not sexually good enough and you lost a possible romantic relationship?
/r/PurplePillDebate22/12/25 04:19 AM

Exactly. So the romantic relationship although brief, was established at some point. The man didn’t feel “less than” because he got his sexual validation he needed from her..

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
