It could be a lack of morals. But I suspect that more often it is a lack of fortitude. They want the security of what they have, because it is "safe and providing enough," while creating several avenues for exit. It definitely indicates lack of morals, but I feel like the basilar instincts don't allow for self-examination. I guess what I am saying is that the part of the brain where the morals reside doesn't even get called up.

I agree with most everyone else. Start with therapy. Take lessons from the past, but look to the future. Don't dwell on the past. You have the benefit of a whole new marriage. The future is waiting for you both.
