"women taking precautions on the street is literally apartheid" Dumbest statement of the year, Get some perspective, Go outside, Read about south Africa and Gaza

"some countries". Like the whole world hasn't been massively divided by genre forever? In your mind has everything been equal until the overcorrections for women started happening?

That's what the person above is saying and I'm questioning it

I was responding to the other person who was saying the same thing about women

People are venting, they don't wanna debate

You're more likely to be picked on for a fight. Why go out to bars or busy cities?

Why do you all the things you do despite whatever risks are associated with it? Why do men go out of the house despite all the statistics of problems they face? Better stay at home than have work make you suicidal, eh.

This sub encourages crazy caricatures, can't have a balanced conversation

Because that would mean throwing away higher education? What planet are you living on with these strawladies

If someone gets followed or intentionally stared at every week, what advice do you have for them?

Yes. But why has it been a thing in so many places for quite a long time, especially in less feminist countries? What are the causes of this bigotry besides feminism?
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates02/07/26 07:33 AM

That's right. Now, is that a thing because of feminism?

Is it bigotry for mothers to tell their daughters to watch out for me because "they only want one thing"?
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates01/07/26 10:57 PM

Right, but the point is that it wasn't their idea in the first place, which is the whole point of questioning what is a result of feminism historically and what is not
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates01/07/26 11:50 AM

This sub is becoming like MAGA with no interest in discourse. You're giving off pathetic energy.

My partner has a creepy interaction with a man at least twice a month if she walks around town a lot. She doesn't cross the street in that sense but calling that bigotry is pretty ignorant of women's experiences, as it includes not wanting to be stared at or feeling like they're being followed, based on past experience.

I feel like people are missing the point of the manosphere thing. Capital R red pill stuff might be somewhat niche, but hasn't it obviously seeped into the most popular online personalities, especially ones that have a crossover audience of young people. Types like Sneako or Adin Ross working hard to suck up to and reproduce Andrew Tate-style views. Fresh and Fit are pretty big. Loads of teachers report an uptick in misogyny in boys.

It's not strong language, it's a fact - what are you trying to question there? And why pick those specific countries?

I don't know what it's about because it doesn't hold up against any historically nuanced scrutiny. It's deleted now anyway

This kind of shit makes me lose hope in the subreddit. If that's what you think of women, you're stooping to their level and aren't gonna move anything forward

What's your argument?
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates11/06/26 10:45 PM

It is whataboutism, but the comment I was responding to is wildly selective, because it ignores the fact that women were forced into seeking providers by having limited economic rights. I'm matching the flippancy of that comment and as you point out, these gender-bases grievances are just tit-for-tat both ways if you don't dive into context (feminists are obviously also guilty of this)

What's "our society"? The United States? People post on here about international stuff a lot, so you'll have to be specific. Even in the US, how is the repealing of Roe Vs Wade not a result of patriarchy?
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates07/05/26 10:45 PM

One of my main gripes is the frequent denial of historical institutional patriarchy through a lens of claiming that it doesn't exist today.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
