While my census of women on dating apps reveals approximately 2 hobbies. Traveling and food. Wait, one of those things is a biological need, so only 1 hobby and it's clearly class gated. So they can keep their 30 point spreadsheet about what I have to do to get their attention.

Let me know when you've been literally eaten so you can compare the two. Nobody is discounting how awful being assaulted is/must be, but comparing it to having your flesh torn off by a woodland beast is hyperbole so extreme that it betrays understanding.

rape, coerce, drug, pressure, blame, black mail, kidnap, All of these things are better than being literally eaten. If you're unlucky, then you are alive for a good portion of it and then it definitely qualifies as torture. That entire debate hinges on a fundamental misunderstanding of deaths per opportunity. More men hurt women than bears hurt humans, but that's because men interact with women many more times than bears interact with humans. If you broke it down to likelihood to be violently at…

I would do all of those things for my own benefit, not to make friends or find a life partner. Happiness starts with you. People here really put relationships on a pedestal and it seems to mostly be people who have never had one. If you are convinced that the only reason people do things is to find friends and dates then you have a lot of learning to do.

It isn't pointless or stupid, that's what I'm saying. It helps keep life fresh and interesting. I mean you could sit at the same job for 50 years never learning and growing and then go home and watch TV getting progressvely fatter/sicker until you drop dead but that's miserable. The impacts to your social life are just fringe benefits.

We work on ourselves so we don't have to live the same day over and over again for 80 years. Upleveling is about challenging yourself and becoming the best version of yourself that you can be. You do that for yourself, not for your friends or for the squish.

Hypergamy isn't just choosing the best partner that you can, it also means trading up later if you are able to. That's what people mean when they talk about this.

You act like you are doing men a favor just by existing. If this guy had any self-esteem at all he would dump you even if you weren't cheating on him. It's disingenuous at best to cite studies indicating that men are happier when they are in a relationship but then fully disregard any nuance about the assumed quality of those relationships.

Even for a man who has no concerns it could also be him wanting to be as confident about dedicating the rest of his life to the child as the mother is through biology (deservedly so, at that point she's made tremendous sacrifices from carrying them). It certainly could be an accusation, so I also wouldn't blame a woman for wanting to understand the ask, but many just take the position that mistrust is the only possible reason and they would run out and get divorced at the very suggestion. It's r…

Men are expected to bend over backwards to offer reassurance to women. From tolerating being treating like a felon at the beginning to the famous do you think I'm pretty/would you still love me if I was a worm type nonsense just to assuage their fears. When men need a little assurance to help them to connect with a child to whom they are about to dedicate their entire life, it's unreasonable and a personal affront. Wanting to be 100% sure about something is not an accusation. It certainly can be…
/r/PurplePillDebate29/08/24 12:49 PM

There is definitely nuance to how long you have known them, I only highlight that example to show that someone can want an assurance without it being a direct accusation. Sometimes the possible (but unlikely) outcome is so severe that taking the extra step shouldn't be viewed negatively or taken personally imo. It's also entirely possible that the baby is his and the wife is still stepping out so it's really more about dedicating your life to that child rather than making sure the wife/gf isn't …
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/24 06:34 PM

Felonious abusers are one thing. Women are 100% more likely to experience the effects of and be hurt by intimate partner violence, and it's not that uncommon. Stranger violence? Men are overwhelmingly the victims (and perpetrators) of that. Treating every random man like a threat is not more logical than assuming your wife who had given you no reason to doubt her might be carrying someone else's baby. Just because something isn't likely doesn't mean that it's not reasonable to want an assurance,…
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/24 07:48 PM

Cheating isn't the problem, because as you pointed out just because the baby is his doesn't mean you aren't playing the field. The point is that you are dedicating your life then to a child and an assurance is reasonable. It's not any more an accusation than when a woman tells her friends where she is going and with whom so they can follow up if they don't hear from her. Is that random guy a violent felon? Probably not, but peace of mind is priceless.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/24 06:52 PM

It's really not, and the fact that women refuse to allow their "it may not be all men, but until it's no men then it's all men" logic to be applied to them is just sheer hypocrisy. There is a such thing as trust but verify. The stakes of dedicating your life to a child that isn't yours are too high to leave up to chance, even if you have no reason to suspect infidelity. Frankly I believe it should be done universally when babies are born so that men don't even have to ask.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/24 06:47 PM

They do, but they take what are considered reasonable precautious to avoid the worst outcome. That's really all that the paternity tests are about. You aren't accusing that specific man of being a murderer/rapist, but you recognize the possibility and have to guard against it. For some reason, when you flip that logic around and apply it to paternity testing, women want to be offended and treat it as a personal accusation. Being able to feel safe and / or confident is not a direct accusation. "I…
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/24 06:38 PM

Women literally assume that every man they see in public or are about to go on a date with is a millimeter away from assaulting them. Men are expected to just accept whatever steps they need to do to get comfortable because it's "for their safety" and are supposed to do things like cross the street when walking behind a woman so she feels more comfortable. Why is it that only men are expected to accept "trust bro" when it comes to a life altering possibility? We have to accept being treated like…

The point is that you can only control your preparation and wait for the opportunity. Complaining about it won't change it. There are certainly things that can't be controlled, and some people never get an opportunity at all, no matter how hard they work. That doesn't make the best solution to stop trying. If you stop trying then on the off chance an opportunity does appear you'll be unable to capitalize on it. No cap, frfr.

The same women who demand that men blindly accommodate this because "it could be any of you" and that say we need to get over being accused of being predators will rail against mandatory paternity tests because of how rare paternity fraud is and how it's "accusing them of cheating", call men who are worried about getting cleaned out in divorces paranoid because "not all women are golddiggers", criticize men who carry guns as wackos because they'll probably never need it, and view people who prep…

The things that red and black pillers say about women aren't any different than what gets said in places like FDS and XX nearly everyday, but those places are allowed to exist and red pill, black pill, MRA, and MGTOW are literally described as extremist ideologies by the first Google results. The "village" is made up of smaller building blocks that generally have blood relations. People have always been closest to their parents, romantic partners, and blood related children, or really whoever directly cares for you and you care for who is generally going to be these people. After that comes the extended family. Maybe the nuclear family living as a separate unit is newer, but it's certainly where most people's ultimate loyalties lie.

dysfunctional nuclear family Que? The nuclear family is one of the most powerful building blocks in the history of human civilization. Those bonds create stability and drive people to be productive, cooperate, and build a better world for the next generation. Letting weirdos come and go is what is dysfunctional.

I think most people's beef with these situations is that women don't have a giant checklist of things they have to do before society considers them worthy and if you suggest that a woman improve herself to meet a man 8,000 simps come out of the woodwork to tell her she's perfect the way she is.

Online dating has been around for a long time, but really only in the last 10 years shed the stereotype that it was only for 40 year old cat ladies. When I was in college back in the late aughts dating was still very much in person. The bars were a meat market and you had to go up to people in person.

The response doesn't have to be immediate, but people are checking their phones at a minimum every hour or two so past a max of about 8 hours for people with strict jobs you are being left on read.

Most men are not getting actual intimicy in the first place Correct, but the intimacy is what they want. That isn't the product that a sex worker is offering, even with GFE type stuff because they aren't actually bonded. The "settle" alternative provides intimacy and sex which mitigates the need for sex workers. The sex worker alternatives doesn't mitigate the desire for intimacy. I don't think the availability of sex decreases the "settle" options value at all.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/11/23 11:29 PM

For sure, but legal prostitution is no replacement for actual intimacy. The dudes who are out there simping for fantasy e girls want them to crawl through the screen and date them because they are limerent. These dudes would be doing the same thing even if they were allowed to pay for sex.

Women respond to outward signs of wealth and prosperity because that is what intuitively makes sense. Our lizard brains don't understand APRs and payments. Not necessarily. "Cheating" is a social construct, many people have different definitions, do poly stuff, go on breaks, maybe were poorly educated and don't know that something they did had pregnancy risk, etc. Verifying that something is true when that thing completely alters the participants lives is not by itself an accusation of wrongdoing. It certainly can be, and I can't imagine it would feel good to be questioned about it and that is why I think it should just be the default. Then nobody …

If this was really your reason, you’d also be proposing a dna database of all men to be able to search for the fathers. Not even close. Verifying that the person is actively being held up to be the bio father is sufficient. Obviously at some point the scope of testing becomes invasive if someone says oh test 200 people. There has to be a reasonable claim of paternity. The needs of society always have to be balanced against privacy concerns. The burden of proof rests on the affirmative claim and …
/r/PurplePillDebate15/11/23 03:04 PM

The birth of a child is not "an arbitrary time". They aren't pulling up on her on Tuesday the 12th and swabbing her for other men's semen. Verifying the accuracy of an affirmative claim of paternity so an official document can be known to be correct is not the same as accusing someone of cheating.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/11/23 01:54 PM
3

The point is there shouldn't be an accusation necessary. Just normalize verifying the details at birth and nobody has to get offended about it like if someone asks.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/11/23 01:21 PM
2

The difference is who is making the claim. If a woman says you are the father, it's believed and legally enforceable. If a man says he isn't, then they want a vial of blood.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/11/23 01:19 PM
4

Then why do courts and women routinely demand tests from men when they assert that they aren't the father? So it's fine to call them lying pieces of shit?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/11/23 01:05 PM
1

It should be that's the thing. If it needs to be redacted later because of an adoption or whatever then so be it, but the original record should either include the DNA father or be blank if it's unknown. People have the right to know their biological lineage.

Calling it a "waste of resources" is ridiculous because if the man just said "no I'm not the father" she'd drag him on Maury so fast it would make your head spin and I'd bet it wouldn't be a "waste of resources" then. What happened to "trust me bro"? I guess women should be impliclty trusted but not men? Gee, how convenient. In any other arena of life the burden of proof rests with the person making the affirmative claim.

They could DNA test the mom too, but if they watch the baby come out, that feels unnecessary. Of course there are things like surrogacy so maybe they should do that too.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/11/23 12:29 PM
4

I do agree that every time is overkill, I just don't see any other option to allow people to not have to ask. As many in this (and previous) threads have pointed out, even asking is considered offensive and people are much less likely to find out if asking for a test is the end of the relationship regardless of the result.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/11/23 03:45 AM

It shouldn't even be an option to sign the birth certificate. The hospital should be entering the data once it's verified to be accurate. This isn't the kind of thing people should be guessing about. If people don't want to do it, or if the woman doesnt know who the father is then the fathers name stays blank.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/11/23 03:44 AM
3

Imagine if a scientist who came up with a new theory got offended if no journals would publish their conclusions without reviewing their research. That is basically what you are describing. Its not offensive to verify facts or to request such a verification.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/11/23 03:33 AM
10

It isn't accusatory. A birth certificate is an official government document, so the government should be doing their due diligence to make sure that what is on it is correct. Was it accusatory when you got your driver's license for them to ask to see your birth certificate to ensure you were who you said you were? No, it wasn't. When you go to get a driver's license, tsa precheck, or a passport do they accept "trust me bro"? Of course they dont.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/11/23 03:22 AM
25

That could work. Paternity fraud (and baby swapping) isn't some minor lie or error, it's completely life altering. Everyone deserves to know they have the right baby and people who would lie about this should know they are going to get found out. Unknowingly raising a kid when you wouldn't have agreed to/been obligated to normally is like sending the wrong person to jail. Courts don't operate on trust, you need evidence.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/11/23 02:29 AM
91

This is just one of those things that should be done automatically before a father can be listed on a birth certificate. Everyone in society has a vested interest in knowing that the right person is being held responsible for supporting a child, and that way no one would have to feel suspicious or offended by it occurring.
