I see your argument and I raise you a crazy ex girlfriend song - https://youtu.be/ky-BYK-f154

Okay. Then why are you suggesting I’m confirming something with my words?

I have no idea what you are trying to say.

Wait what am I confirming?

Yes I was agreeing with you. Asshole have trouble finding someone to overlook their asshole flaws.

I take it you are trans and have dating experience presenting as both genders? Such an informed opinion on what it’s like to experience dating both as a woman and a man!

Yes assholes will have trouble finding someone to overlook their asshole flaws. For everyone else, they can find someone.

I would tell him the truth. that 6-6-6 is a lie and that some women experience pain with such large penises and therefore actively dislike such large penises and that he will find someone he is compatible with. Also I would not assume he would be dating women, or women only.

That’s more fair.

I don’t see how her actions are “insane”. I have no thoughts on the rest of your comment.

I don’t see how that’s “insane”.

Wait you think it’s “insane” to sleep with someone if they aren’t your boyfriend or girlfriend? I have news for you...

Threat me the same as any other person. If you hold doors open for everyone, cool. But don’t hold doors open just for me because I’m a woman. If you are arrogant and never values other people’s ideas - cool, we prob won’t get along but whatever. But don’t undervalue my ideas because I’m a woman. And so on.

Consent cannot be non consensual. If I don’t want someone inside my body, then they don’t have consent to be inside my body. Now, you can argue that my non consent doesn’t justify abortion. But that doesn’t change the fact that only I can determine if someone has consent to use my body. And if I say no, then they don’t have consent. I’ve never had sex with the purpose of reproducing. That’s why accidental pregnancies are called “accidental” or “unintended”. The purpose of intercourse in that cas…

Why don’t you just ask the people you want to date what they want and tell them what you want? See if you are compatible.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/21 08:52 AM

If I consent to have sex, then I consent to have sex. It’s pretty simple. Unintended consequences can happen in lots of situations, but they have nothing to do with consent and whether or not someone should be able to get medical care.

Lol I didn’t have to marry. But I did.

Lol expressing what I think is a better choice over a worse choice is not even close to authoritarian. I also express the view that it’s better not to eat so much fast food. And that it’s better to give strangers the benefit of the doubt and kindness. Expressing those views doesn’t make me authoritarian and neither does expressing my feminist views. Everyone is allowed to make the choices they want to make, as long as they don’t harm others. People are not free from criticism however and critici…

You seem to be confusing Choice Feminism with Feminism. There are many branches of feminism and Choice Feminism is only one of them. Choice Feminism is the idea that any choice a woman makes freely is by definition Feminist. This is not the branch of feminism I believe in. You keep repeating that you think I’m advocating for liberation and choice. I do advocate for legal freedom and legal choice. But I do not think that any choice a woman makes should be socially labeled “feminist” just because …

Because as feminists know very well, only legal action has an impact. Social pressures don't matter at all, ever. Social acceptance has nothing to do with anything. Don't act more stupid than you are. I know you didn't imply laws. You know I didn't mean laws. Let's not pretend otherwise. Okay yeah I mean let’s be real - I had a feeling that you were being hyperbolic by calling my comments “authoritarian” but I figured I’d give you the benefit of the doubt and respond to your actual words instead…

Because to hell with people's freedom of choice. The only valid freedom of choice is the one allowing to choose the feminist way. How authoritarian of you. If I ever made it seem that I’m in favor of making SAHP illegal, my apologies. I absolutely would not condone a law that requires two parents to have jobs outside the home. If that wasn’t clear, I hope it is now. Maybe you do, and maybe you genuinely believe so, but strangely, it fails to be reflected into the actions of feminists... I see fe…

Well I sure hope all children are raised by their parents and not daycare lol. Having your child cared for during the day by someone who is trained in early childhood development and education is not having that person “raise” your child. And it’s proven to be best to socialize kids on a regular basis starting from a very young age. I’ve ready many studies on this and the truth is there is no conclusive answer. Some studies show better results with 2 working parents, some show better one 1. It i…

I think it’s just that having 2 working parents is preferred by feminist, so we wouldn’t try to push for more SAHF’s cause we prefer no SAHP’s. But if I had to choose between having only SAHM or having both SAHMs and SAHFs, I would definitely prefer the latter. Most feminists would too. It’s just that most of us don’t think there should be SAHP at all. It’s similar to the draft. We don’t push to conscript women cause we don’t think anyone should be conscripted. But if we have to have a draft, yo…

If the study didnt acknowledged that there are some benefits of having a SAHP, then I wouldn’t trust it at all. There are obviously some advantages to both sides. The fact that there are some advantages to having a SAHP doesn’t mean having a SAHP is better. And if you don’t think that wasting the talent of women in engineering, science, teaching, politics, medicine, etc is inherently problematic then we aren’t going to see eye to eye on much. I don’t want the best doctor I can get from 50% of th…

I never said I don’t think people should be allowed to be SAHP. It would be insane to like.. make that illegal. I just think it’s a better situation for both parents and kids, if both parents work inside and outside the home.

I do think we have a lot of work to do as far as the social pressures on both men and women due to gender roles. But I don’t think it’s a good idea for anyone to be a SAHP. All adults should work both inside and outside the home. Men should not be pressured to be sole providers. Everyone should provide for themselves and pull their own weight. That’s my two cents at least.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/03/21 07:42 PM

Why should anyone be a SAHP? All adults should work both inside and outside the home.

Guess what happen when you double the workforce You get the best of the best for doctors, teachers, engineers, scientists, etc since you aren’t only drawing from a pool of half the population. Otherwise you have wasted talent. Sounds like a win to me.

What are you talking about? Pregnancy starts changing a person’s body immediately, starting with hormonal changes. You can’t just change people’s bodies without their consent. And if you want a list of harmful effects of pregnancy on the body (though I consider forcing someone’s hormones to change against their will to already be harmful), I can find a comprehensive source. It will be a long read.

I’m not talking about morality at all. I’m talking about legality, and I didn’t make up any of that.

Yes I understand the concept. I think it’s a terrible idea, but I understand what you are suggesting. I just thought it was ironic wording because child support only happens when parents are explicitly not married.

You seem to imply they hold intent. Nope. Whether or not one person is violating another person has nothing to do with the intent of the first person. You can violate someone without realizing it and mentally handicap people can violating someone without understand it. Those are just two examples to illustrate that a violation can occur without the violator having any kind of intention to do so. I think it's a difficult position to argue that alternatives have been exhausted. Oh I’m all for alte…

Yeah i mean if someone is using your body and harming your body against your will, lethal force is permitted when there is no other way to stop them from doing so.

Abortion is not murder by definition, even if we use your definition. “Unlawful premeditated killing of one human being by another”. Well, abortion is legal where I live. So by your definition, it is not murder since it is not “unlawful premeditated killing of one human being by another”. I think a better definition of murder that doesn’t appeal to legality in a circular fashion is “the unjustified premeditated killing of one human being by another”. And to that, I would argue that abortion is v…

There’s no man involved in my marriage so..

Those are still circumstances where marriage comes in handy for egalitarian couples. And my list wasn’t comprehensive by any means. Does it have to benefit 100% of egalitarian couples for my point to stand? By that logic, marriage benefits absolutely no one because no couple reaps exactly the same benefits. And if you are implying that you can lie about being married to see your spouse and the hospital won’t check it - well then you are still benefiting from marriage, you’re just benefiting thro…

Hospital visitation rights, immigration rights, adoption rights, tax breaks, not having to speak in court against your spouse, etc. Have you really never looked into the laws surrounding marriage at all?

I want/have an egalitarian relationship and marriage still benefits my wife and I. There are tons of benefits marriage gives a couple that even an egalitarian relationship would benefit from.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
