It's just "Revenge of the Nerds" tier rhetoric from men who never had women attracted to them in their youth, then in their 30s women start settling for them for financial security reasons (betabuxx marriages) and they label that genuine attraction, since women never liked them they led themselves to believe that being a walking ATM is somehow more honorable than being an incel.

Not to be an asshole or anything, but providing for women/girlfriends/families has been the number one thing generating mass productivity in men throughout societies. Without that aspect, how can men maintain the same level of productivity when all they have is platonic placeholders? Sure, you may find a way to stabilize them, but how do you get lonely masses of men to be as hardworking as before so the infrastructure keeps working? I guess you could just replace them with women, but are women w…

Depends on the severity of how deep in the "gay best-friend zone" you are. If she sees you as the "can't believe he's straight" friend, she could even undress or be fully nude around you and not give a shit since she basically sees you as one of the girls.

I think you're right, but I also think there is some kind of bias at play. It's likely their family homes as a whole sucked and you're hyperfixating on the father, when the whole cosmos of their early life might have traumatized them. Having a rough start early on can leave you with a bunch of defense mechanisms and horrible habits that are very hard to shake off. One way women tend to cope with traumas is to just throw themselves at men for validation's sake since men are so easy to squeeze att…

I absolutely love the dehumanizing nature of statements like this, and how these gynocentric mentalities are so ready to call the average man a leftover scrap or "strange man" just because they don't fit women's already insane modern standards.

I had CharacterAI for a while (which is, I'd presume, the biggest app for this kind of parasocial stuff) and the most chatted-with bots were male, sitting around the hundreds of millions in numbers of chats. I don't assume it was mostly men talking to Gojo and Levi, so women are absolutely going to get crazy with bots too. Dare I say, even worse than men, given their propensity for erotica and the like.

They're for escorts specifically, not for regular dating between people who don't associate with that kind of stuff. Moreover, the escorts often know they're being reviewed on these websites, unlike the doxxing going on here.

It does make you wonder how women just magically gravitate towards this type of men instead of the, I don't know, sea of perfectly normal dudes who are dateless out there?

Allathat just to get with the average woman in 2025. This is "just become batman" tier advice, and fortunately for us it's false, given that men who meet neither of these criteria regularly get into relationships. Attraction is literally just looks and social skills, the rest is just being a better betabuxxer and having a good career so she can piggyback off of you. Love isn't really supposed to be difficult. My advice would be to just maximize your looks, go out with people and put yourself in …

How can you be so wrong yet so brave? Such confident language. Of course women are sharing the few men. Men give lots of likes, women don't, men are a lot on dating apps, women aren't. Quick maths result -> Chad wins.

Personally, I don't believe women are necessarily "submissive", but their obvious preference for men who are above them socially and more dominating does raise flags. There is also the issue of women taking status into account a lot more than men do; they are a lot more attuned to power dynamics and are much more likely to gravitate towards the strongest/most relevant person in the room.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/06/25 02:09 AM

She technically was submissive, but to the snake, as opposed to god. Your argument could have maybe worked if she had a pre-existing curiosity about the apple that Adam didn't have, but it didn't seem to be the case.

"Submissive men", but in the context of Christianity that submission would be to God or a higher authority, not to women. In a religious mentality, it's God > Man > Woman.

Lots of people's brains are completely fried and they get too bored too quickly from casual interactions if the context isn't stimulating enough (like drinking alcohol at a bar or a party). People these days are rarely willing to put up with each other if sparks aren't flying in the first 5 minutes. I guess it's the overexposure to stimulation and lack of inner peace that makes people desperately chase thrill after thrill on super-speed. I think the covid era overexposed people to technology and…

Yet another poorly disguised victim blaming thread, a tradition on PPD, the cesspool of boomer rhetoric like "bro just be normal and if being normal doesn't work then you just aren't being normal correctly, just... be normal and stuff, bro". The main reason I "love" mainstream, blue-pilled advice is because it's circular. Just clean yourself up, deal with your mental issues, become more stable, and well if that doesn't work then, uh... you aren't entitled to anything! People don't have to get to…

If the advice applies to most people, in general, regardless of age, then it's ultimately correct. The rest is just semantics and wordplays. The "rhetoric" doesn't invalidate the effectiveness of the advice.

So "pilled" just means whatever you want it to mean, apparently. Petersonian rhetorique. You say "logic" and "reason" but you never describe what you mean by "pills". You just attack the concept while clinging to a definition you refuse to share, ironically because it would sound too logical.

That's literally the core belief of both the red pill nd the blackpill: attraction is absolutely paramount, even beyond moral capacity or willingness to invest. You're affirming manosphere ideologies while shitting on them for no reason in the next paragraph. You can't go back and forth.

It's up to the individual adult to spot out insidious intent (or intent that otherwise doesn't match with yours). This is just the good old "why do deceptive people exist waaaa waaaa someone help me". The modern era for socializing isn't for people who don't understand human nature. Keep yourself safe, that kind of stuff.

Or maybe they just find the respective women boring? Just saying, plenty of chicks have male friends in completely platonic scenarios because they have the personality to back up their interest beyond sex. If every man you find walks away when sex is off the table, guess where the common denominator is. That's what happens when you ride off your looks and womanly-charms instead of an actual identity in your social life.

The kings may have gotten to have multiple wives, but what about the Joe's on the street? If their societies were cohesive, most of these guys had a wife waiting for them at home, otherwise there would be huge trouble for anyone involved. It was probably fine for the elite to have multiple reproductive avenues as long as Billy had a wife of his own at home. The issues would appear when and if Billy had no woman to come home to, that's when you'd gradually end up with civil wars and/or no product…

I really don't know at which point in the course of society did words like "emotion" become antithetical to "logic". Emotions are naturally occurring, sensical phenomena that allow us to interact with the world. No emotions, no experience of being human; it's that simple. There is this notion going around in male circles especially, that you can completely discard your mental reality and just pummel through like a rabid dog through real-life circumstances with no consequences, all under the guis…

Men are dating and committing to mother-material women to all the time - well, attractive men at least, since they get to actually make choices with regards to women, as opposed to mediocre men, who tend to take whatever comes their way.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/25 11:53 AM

Yeah, that's life. Women get to have this benefit where they can brag about being normal functioning adults for some reason (paying for their own bills, maintaining their own place/car etc), while in men's case, it's not just expected, but any step out of line in terms of being an adult gets you laughed at immediately. I don't know, it may just be that women are more biologically valuable, which gives them more behavioral leeway; kinda like, they make up for their own lacks with their "womanly" …

Every retired incel who luckily manages to hit a jackpot with a woman starts talking like he's Gandhi. Relax man, we knew all of these things, it's like "being a human 101", just some repackaged typical stoicism. "Guys let me teach you the secret of attraction!! If she isn't putting in similar effort, she isn't the one" Woooooooow, you must be the second coming of some long-gone genius. Who would've thought. Just enjoy your life man 😂

Bravo! Very well put. The person responding to you above (or below) me clearly hasn't understood what you meant about familial relationships, but nonetheless. It is the misuse of language that causes the commotion in these situations. Sure. The point was that if your stats are high enough, you don't actually need to bother with any of the logistics/reasoning/mapping/understanding etc. that other, less attractive people do. You can kind of just... do stuff, and effortlessly enjoy life however you want, while continually receiving support, validation, sex and opportunities no matter what. There's a reason why people want to look very good and be high status. It's the most obvious one: Life is just... very easy and enjoyable.

If the cheater is otherwise a lot more attractive than her other options, she might. Women aren't as selective in the promiscuity department generally, and will put up with a fuckboy-ish past if it comes from someone who blows their competition out the water. Not only that, but in order to be a rampant cheater or serial fuckboy, you would need to be very distinctive from other men (attractiveness wise). Attractive men can usually afford the hypocrisy. Like, when you have enough bargaining power, you can bend reality to your will. That's kind of the whole point of being a "high value man". You play by whatever rules you want because women chase after and desire you regardless. They can casually bang whoever's the most appealing/available in the moment to them and exclusively, monogamously date only women who don't engage in this kind of behavior and who remain "low n". Think of it like a "male s…

Yes, we are all so special and unique and such wonderful individuals. It's not "products you buy", it's products you TRY to buy (traits you find attractive), then their owner (the person with ownership over them) decides whether they'll hand them over based on your own traits and what you can share in return. It's still economics.

Well, let me think. It's a pretty frontal question. First off, money and status don't matter as much as the manosphere would have men believe. Not only that, but men themselves care more about a woman's finances more than they let on. The Mackenzie dude made a clip on this with scientifically backed data. Secondly, the issue of "personality being irrelevant" is also delusional, given that most of this "personality" is made of genetic factors. The more effortless some trait about you comes across…

There is a gradient to it. Empathy isn't binary, like ones and zeroes. Both me and the respective person(s) test the waters at first to see if there is compatibility, using milder stuff, then as we realize that we are compatible in this way we gradually open up more. Like, of course my 67th conversation with a good partner will be much more emotionally charged and empathetic on both sides than, say, the first one or the second one, when we barely met and were checking to see if we match.

I think you misunderstood "genuinely empathizing with" for basic civility and niceness which I offer everyone, unless they act in antisocial manners. As they show listening skills/kindness/openness or whatever during the interaction, I crank up my investment in them as well, because they're showing quality. If they act rude, dismissive, attack people for no reason or other sorts of socially corrosive behavior then I try to minimize the attention I give them and the time I spend with them. I don'…

When did I ever say that I want women to love me unconditionally? You're putting words in my mouth because I'm disagreeing with your slave mindset and it's making you uncomfortable. You're trying to weaponize the use of language against my argument, but I've been there and done that. Why empathize with people who refuse to empathize with you? It's that simple. When I see women who make genuine efforts to see what it's like on the other side of the fence, that's when I start being empathetic. When I see reddit-tier discourse going around, combined with typical gaslighting and strawmanning, I just take a step back. It's that simple. It's as you said. I'm not treating women (a…

I don't see women making these kinds of efforts for men. We just instantly get tossed into boxes based on credentials: incels, fuckboys, simps etc. This demand for empathy from men while they're stuck dealing with the psychological horror game that is trying to date women in 2025 is hilarious.

What's the point of being a mini-celebrity when they are repusled by the vast majority of men? Swarms of dudes they find mediocre aren't doing much for them, and the ones who make the cut and clear that high bar women have are much less likelier to commit, due to desirablity and the scarcity of their magnetic traits. Although I guess it can be pretty cool if all you're looking for is casual hookups with very attractive dudes.

Of course you would put up with anything, mister "mstow". Men will put up with anything when they're thirsty and lacking in SMV. The term you're looking for is "desperate", a word that isn't attached to any men with actual value and bargaining power in the market.

Absolute cinema. Finally, a self-aware post on this sub. Of course it was always like this. The whole "Only men can truly love" thing was a meme all along. It's natural to be a "loverboy" when you can barely get a text back from a woman, or have like 2 talking stages per year. Please remember this aspect of life: The kindest and most loving person in the room is usually the most replaceable.

Women are a lot more supportive and tribal than men are, which leads to them protecting and emboldening each other a lot more often. Men on the other hand are too competitive and disbanded, always looking to be the most impressive to women even at the cost of other dudes. The SMV of her partners is absolutely irrelevant, given that the second case you proposed (N=50) is a literal town bike. N=1 is the objectively superior one even if her one partner was a swamp goblin or a greek god. Ask any man. Also, promiscuity doesn't necessarily elicit disgust. It simply throws the woman all the way to the second end of the Madonna-Whore complex. To address the point of why men generally shame female promiscuity, the reason is simple; it has nothing to do with them being "tainted" and other emotional buzzwords being used. It's just that unrestricted straight female sexuality leads to the top % of men accumulating all the attention, validation and sex from the majority of women, while the bottom percentile of guys starves harder and harder. Women aren't directly priviliged in any visible way. There is no particular law saying "women get this and that and that and that and fuck the men", outside of who-knows-what particular, specific DEI program that should be tweaked. Largely genetics but climbing the social ladder or developing social skills can help. It's always a positive to learn how to navigate the different types of people around you. Emotional intelligence is the bread and butter of high status. The better you are at deciphering and adapting to the archetypes around you, the likelier people are to enjoy your presence. The main reason dating advice is utterly irrelevant for unattractive people is because it teaches you how to navigate and manage people who are already into you from the start. A certain behavior here, a certain action here, bla bla bla, and you can escalate from just "having your foot in the door" to being settled cozily inside the "house". Dating advice is ABSOLUTELY useful for people who can get initial interest, but mess it up due to lack of awareness, low emotional intelligence etc. But to …

He's simply advocating for a pseudo-retreat from trying to actively date if life has constantly proven to you that you're undateable. It's not an unreasonable take. And it's not like it goes against your own argument, which is basically "do stuff, don't think about it and if the chance ever arises go for it". Your points actually combine pretty well with his: If you're undateable, foreg…

I don't disagree. I didn't mean writing novels, just highlighting their own points better. And you're right, multiple paragraphs are useless if you cannot shrink your argument at all or you just diverge into stuff that had nothing to do with the question.

I try to do the same, but they need to flesh out their argument and get to writing a few lines of text instead of "I don't see it that way", otherwise I can't really put myself in their point of view. I also read texts multiple times on occasion when I'm exhausted, since this can lead to diagonal reading and info gets left out.

The word "debate" in the sub's title seems to be misleading to people. No one's actually looking to debate or learn anything new here, but instead reinforce pre-existing beliefs by finding people who agree with you and discarding anything else. Edit: To adress your question specifically, women do the same all the time. I get the most hilarious responses from woman-tagged responders.

I get the point he's trying to make, but people and especially women will demonize you for having a sexuality as an unattractive men regardless. This doesn't apply to the men they're truly into, which is the dudes higher on the chain. Nobody chastizes hot guys for wanting sexual experiences, especially not the women who desire them. By design, mentally, sex is made to seem like the most disgusting activity on the planet when envisioned with unattractive people; conversely, it's also made to seem…

Easier for the attractive, harder for the unattractive. I think of it in capitalist terms, only extrapolated to dating. Kind of like "sexual capitalism", as opposed to a financial one. Globalization and easier access to options makes everything better for hot people, since they get to broadcast their attractiveness to more people than ever before, and everything gets worse for uglier ones, as they are more replaceable than ever in an evergrowing dating market. As someone else once said, "broadca…

Hilarious. Men who can afford promiscuous lifestyles can certainly afford to be some woman's husband, in terms of attractiveness. The biggest predictor of relationship infidelity is having multiple options and particularly more physically attractive options than your current partner. That Mackenzie-whatever dude made a good clip on this. That's just life, it's the paradox of choice. The more there is on the menu, the harder you'll find it to be satisfied with any given meal. The issue with this list is, ironically, that it's a completely normal one. Plenty of women have downright identical standards for their potential partners so these women are your competition for these types of men. Point here being that men who do meet these criteria often have a horde of women to choose from, and you don't sound like you have much setting you aside from the crowd. Except, you sound self-aware and polite? That's cool. It's not so common.

I think the point of the post is that men tend to be a lot more combative towards each other even in their own friendships as a means to compete for attention and to, as the manosphere would say, "sharpen" each other for life. The gist of it is, of course, that men should indeed take a page out of women's playbook and lay the horn-smashing for another time, but it's hard to change the cultural norms around this, especially in more conservative regions. The most basic of social skills and neurotypicality are required as a man no matter what context: dating, work etc. That doesn't mean social skills are that important. Yes they are. Sexual availability counts as availability. Now, sure, these guys are harder to lock down than ever, but at least women can enjoy casual sexual contact with them. Yeah, the "more than sex" is largely the point of this conversation. If something as simple as escorts would have been able to solve men's loneliness, they would have been legalized and pushed to the masses long ago. Reproductive success (which is what men actually want) differs from just sex. It's about the ability to get sex consistently, using your own attractiveness that generates the feeling of reproductive success, not simply paying for sex or getting a pity-quickie.

Frankly, I was less interested in the OP post and more in your comment specifically. The OP is just classic blackpilled complaining. I gave you a more condensed version of it. I can get behind not being able to get a girlfriend because you're unattractive, this can definitely happen; but being unable to even make male friends either is a sign of much deeper underlying issues (and I'm not denying genetic neurodivergency being possible here) given that straight men literally don't care about your …

And I don't disagree that efforts matter either. But I believe everyone has genetic/circumstantial ceilings in terms of what they can achieve, and that's alright. If whatever God is up there put us in identical situations where only genuine efforts and ambition would make the difference, I would have a much easier time being religious. Unfortunately, the randomness of it all makes it hard to take anything seriously.

Well, people give whatever advice worked for them, in their specific scenario. Throw in 2 or 3 "I know a guy who"s and their belief becomes even more reinforced. The simplest way to look at it is that "lower your standards" can't really apply for men with ground-level standards in the first place. You could argue something like "just go for burn victims or turbo-obese women", but that's just bad faith argumentation. At that point, if improooooving didn't do you any favors, it's wiser to just fin…

You're a woman using dating apps, things are fine for you in that regard. There is literally no such thing as a woman alive who can't get matches on apps. Plenty such situations among men, however.

"The star athlete" you're visualizing is often a bonafide Chad, born into good genetics and impeccable circumstances that led to him becoming the quarterback. Little ugly 5'4 Billy at the back of the class can go ahead and "grind" his ass off and he will never reach that level of excellence, only achievable by simply being that guy. (Mods will strike this down but whatever I feel it's kinda funny).

I think this is a cool concept, however it ultimately falls flat when you consider that people will just swipe on the top percent of attractive people regardless. You say that "swiping right will put you ahead in queue for the people you find attractive to see you faster", but said people are likely to be conventionally attractive anyway so others are going to like them regardless, tanking your place in that line. Remember that men will send likes to pretty much any women. Basically, if I get a …

Dating apps usage peaked in 2016? Any stats to back that up, or is that just when your prime was and now you're getting less matches? If anything, these days, even in my super conservative country pretty much every woman in her 20s and late teens has a dating app. The ones who don't have multiple social media platforms active at once. Also yeah I do agree that apps are mostly about hookup culture. And yes unlimited swipes are basically THE benefit of premium. Being shown to more people and getti…

"Whisper" sounds like creep bait, women are going to get swarmed by hordes of undesirable men and leave the apps faster than you can blink. Fitness obviously matters for health-related reasons, but the vast majority of people simply want sexy partners and use this aspect as a social shield. It's like, instead of saying "I like women with good-looking faces because they're hot", I could say "I like women with hot faces because symmetry and good facial shapes are indicators of genetic quality, making life much better for any future offspring!". "Women choosing the bear" is just chronically online internet retardation. No one IRL, man or woman, has eeeeever specified anything about this delusional discussion to me in reality. Also, no. What a hilarious question. High-status women do well with men and they certainly do better than lesser educated women. Don't let the screeching you see here and there on the internet tell you otherwise. Men will date "down" for the same reasons women date "down". That is, if the respective partner has something to make up for it. Most "manipulators" don't hide their true self deliberately. They just sugarcoat themselves with basic social mannerisms, and they often do so subconsciously, because impressing people is objectively a lot more useful than not impressing them. So "putting up a positive show at first" ends up being an excellent social strategy. Good looking or high-status people often use this to their advantage (once again, subconsciously; it's an automatic mechanism). Any harrowing defects they may have get hid…

In the 2000s the dating scene was wildly different. Of course once online dating and social media started popping up in the 2010s, women started figuring out how infinite their leverage is and what types of men they have access to, something which didn't exist before. Along with the fresh, new options and bigger nets so did their standards increase, making dating more and more inaccessible for the average young joe.

/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/25 12:01 PM

Anything that relates to dating ever is going to be majority male because men typically struggle with this due to difficulty meeting the standards. Women have an easier time dating and catering to men's low standards, so they're not participating in most places like these. Unless you're dealing with a dating community that artificially prevents men from entering, it's going to be primarily male 100% of the time.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/25 07:21 PM

Then you have no reason to blame men for complaining about women either, because women are the "trees" for men in your forest analogy.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/25 07:14 PM

Women permanently criticize men all the time for all kinds of shit. Men do the same towards women. People like complaining because it gives them a feeling of catharsis. Although I do agree that things shouldn't get too visceral, like "I believe x group should burn in the lake of fire for doing a b c". I don't disagree. Too much pessimism can ruin anyone's life. Unfortunately, I've had to interact with too many unhappy people throughout my life and my perspective over things may be warped by the other perspectives I've tried to empathize with. Everything I post should be taken with a grain of salt. English isn't my main language either and I'm not a good writer, thus some of my ideas may not be expressed as they are correctly.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/02/25 02:48 PM

I don't think you can just "walk away" from a non-prenup marriage without having to concede half of your stuff. Also, I'd rather think about "what ifs" than get obliterated in a divorce court. Although I do agree that you don't have to date a jobless woman. The men who do so often do it because they can't afford any better predicaments. Either they're unattractive, low-status, lack social skills etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/02/25 02:36 PM

I think it depends. If the marriage was just a way for her to bail on going to work and stay home, then I'm not sure what to say. Plenty of women in their 20s are like "fuck it, I am a woman and I'm attractive enough to lock down some dude with a good job who can take care of me; fuck going to work, it's too exhausting". I think you pointed it out correctly, but you're missing the point on a few things. Sex is a "want" and arguably the most important "want" from a bio-perspective. It never hits the "need" department because it'll never have the mandatory nature of things like food, water or oxygen. The issue here is not that men will somehow shut down and die of heart attacks if they don't get sexy stuff. The real issue is that when sexual capital becomes something virtually unachievable for large masses of men,…

Men cause these issues to themselves by overestimating the importance of their behavior. Correct. It's also why they feature higher divorce rates. Women who date the wealthier older man don't do so because he is a "beautiful developed mature man" but because they're looking for his financial services. Men will jump off a cliff if it means not having to face reality.

Hey, look, I don't disagree with the premise. Most older women are indeed bitter at younger women for having bigger bargaining power. I agree. You've noticed that I have a hard time calming down my mental activity, so things like meditation, yoga or the like might be useful. I am a very paranoid person and I've been mentally stuck in survival mode since early on. I like to believe I am decent at creating mental models of other people. I just get them talking and gradually construct their internal world in my head. Not sure what other men can do about that. "Shut them up" as in what? Men have no leverage over mysogynistic and depressed men, this second group is obsessed with getting women to like them. The opinions of other men are a distant second to their obsession. And women themselves can't really do anything either, so there's that. You've asked a good question that goes beyond the scope of my intelligence. Frankly, I don't know. And I don't necessarily blame women for being attracted to specimens like these. Powerful, influent, villainous men would take over entire nations and impregnate every woman with a pulse they could get their hands on in the past. People are free to choose whoever they want. However, reality isn't obligated to comply with their wishes or desires for what these relationships should be like. Do you want something more exciting, but less stable? Or something more stable, but less exciting? It's all about how willing people are to make certain sacrifices, combined with how lucky they get. Who knows, maybe the unicorn is out there? Or maybe it isn't. Or maybe it is. Or maybe it isn't... etc.

There is literally nothing dangerous about online dating. The man poses no physical threat to you since you are away from each other, and depending on the platform has no clue where you even live or anything about what you do. Online dating also encompasses basic social media platforms like instagram or facebook, which practically everyone has at this point. Casual sex and even relationships were infinitely easier to acquire for men back then, given that the dating market wasn't globalized by social media and traveling is much easier these days (insta, facebook, tinder, bumble, twitter, reddit etc didn't exist back then, they barely had access to phone calls). This made their competition for women with other men much easier, since women had a smaller sample size to work with so the required criteria for being attractive was much smaller. Women weren…

I think it's because dads who manage to win custody battles tend to have to put A LOT on the table to outdo the mother, given how gynocentric the "who does the kid remain with" system is, so they end up being good fathers through a hefty, very selective system. Since most of the time the kid remains with the mother and women in this scenario have to meet a lot less criteria, the sample size of single mothers ends up being much bigger and there is a lot more room for failure (given the bigger num…
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/25 11:47 AM

"Choose better" is just a heavily disguised version of "Lower your standards for attractiveness and date people who are actually into you". Idk what is so complicated.

Is there some kind of "religion of dad" going on in red-pilled circles? It's like to you guys, if literally anything is wrong with a man, it HAS to be his mother's fault somehow. The dad must have either been absent or something else, right? It's always "people raised by single mothers" and never "people raised by single dads".

I don't know what to say about this. To be frank, I haven't consulted anything scientific on this much so take this with a grain of salt. I find it hard to believe that men don't "socialize", since bars, clubs, malls, gatherings, volunteering and the like are literally full to the brim with men. Men who go out with other men, entire hordes of them sometimes. Even on the street as I waddle about, most people I see are men. They're the ones having fun, shouting, doing wild shit when I'm going out,…

Once again, I agree. Boundaries are important and conditioning matters. Not penalizing bad behaviors will snowball into big disadvantages down the line. It's all about how your partner responds to bids. Can they compromise on certain things, do they even care about compromising, can you break up with them if they show gigantic redflags, these kinds of questions. Bargaining power matters and might be the most important thing, but the way it's used is also relevant.

Strongly agree. I also find women like these episodically, most women I'm consistently around are grown-ups about these things.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/01/25 01:48 AM

I mean, I mostly agree. No one's gonna put in the effort for a partner they're not (or no longer) attracted to. It's an indirect way of pressuring you to end the relationship instead of having to do it themselves. It's cowardly and it isn't a gendered thing.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/01/25 01:47 AM

Because that's life. Masculinity is one tough sonofabitch for most people to acquire, because it needs big efforts and sufferings to create itself. You can't be a "leader" or someone who "dominates" without passing through the ringer first. Efforts, hoops, jumps, etc. There is nothing about this that resembles "a bar in hell". Also, it gets more and more irrelevant as women need men less and less, so there is that. It's more lucrative in 2025 to just look good or be high-status.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/01/25 07:25 PM
7

Those are some pretty hefty standards that relate to a high level of masculinity. Dominate others, lead, don't submit to her or anyone else, have opinions about women that she's gonna like... throw in a standard for looks, and the bar starts to look pretty "heavenly", doesn't it? The man you've described is very rare and high in demand, because this isn't easy to achieve.

Casual can lead to wanting more, especially for women. That's part of the point of this post. Sex is a much bigger investment for women in a psychological sense, so they often want the dude they banged casually to also commit. (added mention: yes of course this also happens the other way around sometimes) Also, this post isn't about purely casual relationships where no one gets invested and they're just having sexual fun. That's all fun and dandy and godspeed to everyone involved. I think you ne…

Most young women are in relationships, most young men are not. I don't know why you deliberately avoided the part related to young men. Their relationships aren't as "committed" as you think, and the men they're dating are also older than them, which puts younger men at a disadvantage. Also, yes, past 30 something most men get coupled, but that's because of women finally settling since they no longer have their youthful bargaining power, so now it's either "date the normie" or "welcome to cat-la…

Well, yes. You agree with me. It's not "getting played" if no one catches feelings after a casual encounter, but it does count as "getting played" otherwise, since you've made an investment in someone who isn't going to return it back. Sometimes they play you, and sometimes you play yourself by lying to yourself.

I don't know, man. I don't actually take everything women say at face value. I have this really horrible trait of being perceptive, and checking to see whether their actions match their words. It's often babbling about "oh i just want a nice stable dude who is polite to waiters and loves dogs" then it's one villain after another that they go after. The catch here isn't that women find niceness attractive, it's that they want the men they're attracted to to be nice to them. It's a massive distinc…

I think it's available in most semi-developed countries that aren't full on social-terrorism-misogyny oriented. People protect their high standards by associating themselves with said standards ("I AM the high standard"), sometimes at the cost of observable reality.

I agree that it's exhausting, but it's a useful skill to develop. Helps not just with dating, but academia as well, the workplace etc. Plenty of people are just looking for emotional labor, as opposed to actual advice.

I blame the culture. Everyone and their mother is apparently "a wonderful amazing beautiful snowflake" so there's a bunch of overinflated egos running around, thinking they're entitled to the "creme de la creme".

Men don't date solely for looks either. Your personality is literally part of your genetic make-up and is involved in the selection process.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/01/25 05:52 PM
8

I've had to deal with emotional types my entire life. Men, women, kids, adults, you name it. I've learned early in teenagehood that there are ways to deal with people and their emotions that aren't straightforward or truthful. Emotionally charged people get very hurt when you strike exactly where the problem is and can become defensive or disengage outright. I always go about it in a roundabout way, and I don't always necessarily address the problem. It's complicated.

The harder people get shafted in life, the harder they have to cope. Everything about romantic/sexual dynamics is economical and is all there for those with the eyes to see.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/01/25 05:45 PM

Then date men who demonstrate competence (whatever this word means is up to the individual). When you date solely based off looks, charisma or status, you aren't actually controlling for competence, and it might come to bite you back in the ass later, when you notice they can't even wash dishes or use a stove.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/01/25 05:43 PM
16

The wording is fairly aggressive, but I don't disagree. It's basically the "lottery ticket scratching" stage of their lives. Like "who knows maybe I will get lucky and this absolute unit will somehow fall for me". Not all women do this, but those who do have a long and exhausting road ahead of them.

/r/PurplePillDebate24/01/25 05:27 PM

A harsh fact of life is that most people only see the people they are emotionally invested in as human. So, of course, to a lot of women, the only "relevant" men are the ones they find attractive (not to say men are any better, but still). If these specific dudes consistently treat them like second choices, they will get a negative opinion of not just them, but also extrapolate that to other men who've never done them any wrong. Biases are protective mechanisms, and sometimes they can be faulty.

Plenty of them, but I also live in an area with more masculine and attractive dudes. Almost everyone is perfumed up, has a haircut and dresses well. Their issue is either their genetic make-up in terms of looks or personality issues, since most of them are still as single as single gets. Also, I don't know how to refute your first point. I don't believe you have the bars separate, despite claiming so. Maybe you could expand on that.

Break up. Simple, since it's obvious disrespect. Given that this post is truly about the gender-flipped situation, the advice remains the same. I think sometimes people need to take a step back and wonder to themselves why they put up with things like these. Low self-esteem? The belief that you won't ever find someone as attractive as your partner? The fear of loneliness? etc.

The difference is the globalization of attention. You don't typically interact with as many people IRL as you can online, so the fishnet is wider. It's just more accesible. The bigger the fishnet, the bigger is the most valuable fish inside. And depending on your bargaining power, you can afford that massive fish (even if just casually). It's just basic economics. Simply take a look at most patriarchies throughout history. Most of them featured an undercover contract between the society itself and its men. They called it "marriage", and it was a lot more ruthless to women back then. One would have you believe that marriages were a contract between the man and the woman, but that used to be false. I've noticed something similar in my circles. The main difference between dating today and dating within the timeframe you mentioned is the globalization of social markets. I didn't disagree with that concept. But men don't have to "set aside" any feelings if they are too strong, if not unbearable. Sometimes, instead of gritting your teeth and meekly waiting for them to like you back one day (while your mental health is getting worse), maybe a better course of action would be to cut contact (either gradually or however else).

I don't get how her view of you is correlated to your view of her. It's entirely possible that she sees you as a friend and you can't help but want something romantic from her, like a relationship. It's easy to say that personality doesn't matter as someone who only leaves the house to gym/work and back (which is the average hardcore redpiller). People who interact with other people on a semi-consistent basis cannot maintain the delusion that personality isn't at least relevant. A good chunk of our personalities are genetic so it would make perfect sense that they're also included in the sexual selection process.

It's about being honest with yourself. If you've assessed that the feelings are platonic, then it's perfectly fine. But if they aren't, and you ARE into the woman romantically, then thread carefully. Your mental headspace can become a terrifying place if you don't truly acknowledge what's going on in there.

I am willing to die for people who are also willing to die for me. The average woman wouldn't piss on the average man if he was on fire. Don't try to pretend like there is any expectation on women to jump in and physically protect men from threats the same way it goes in reverse.

I agree. Most people call themselves "kind and good-hearted", but they're largely referring to the behaviours they display towards close friends, family and whoever they're attracted to. The overwhelming majority of people outside of these metrics barely register as human to the average person.

"Women shouldn't tolerate abuse in relationships" is a pedestrian take, in my opinion. I don't know why something like this should even be debated, or worthy of a post. Is it because of the manosphere influence on reddit, though?

Such an incredibly selfish point of view, especially if it's something generally fixable, like being fat. "There is nothing to be gained about insulting someone for their looks" - for you. Someone with a fixable defect will have much to gain from being told about a facet of their looks that could be improved on. . "You're so pretty, I love the way you do your eye makeup." You are being an asshole. Keep it real and tell her what she could do to fix herself up a bit and increase her chances. What'…

The things that make the bad boys sexy do not make them good husbands. When it comes time to settle down, find someone who wants an equal partner. When slavery was legal (outside of prisons) in the US, some slaves who were light skinned, obedient, helpful, and/or "civilized" enough were able to work in the house and gain privileges the field slaves didn't have. They could often dress like, act like, and perhaps even convince themselves, to a certain extent, that they were "equal" to white employees. But in the end, they were still slaves. Genuinely sorry to tell you, but this has absolutely nothing to do with the post. Equating women's cur…

You are trying to make a general argument while using a particular, unrelated situation. Also, men who abandon their children at birth are often vile enough to make it clear they would do this before the kid is born. It's up to the woman whether she decides to see the red flags or not. It's no one's fault a number of women are actively attracted to villains.

He's a 6'2 good looking powerlifter who could probably kill the average dude in one hit. With that level of masculinity, I'm sure his partner can tolerate a few tears here and there. It would certainly not be the case for the average dude and his low levels of masculinity. If he weren't a strong lifter, I am not so sure his partner would have tolerated the moments of weakness. It would have made him seem too weak.

You need to understand there is a distinction when it comes to women's in-group. Not every woman is the same, and there is an especially massive chasm in standards between younger women and older women. YW typically go for "alpha" traits alot more often, while OW typically go for "beta" traits (I'm internally vomiting just typing these words, but they are for references' sake). "liberal men have a lot more sex than conservative men" and other lies people tell themselves to fall asleep at night. If you're attractive, some people may get intimidated by extended eye contact with you. If you enjoy eye contact, make sure to relax your eyes when doing so to increase people's comfort level. Also, don't hyperfixate on one spot, move the eyeball around a bit. I have a weird thing of initially making people think positive of me, and lose interest fast. I kinda struggle with boundaries too. This is a time of enlightenment for men when it comes to attracting women. Everything they've been told when it comes to just being "nice, decent, caring, willing to give" and other discourses don't apply to an environment where women are free to choose, as opposed to being oppressed. The singular reason these things "used to apply" is because they actually didn't. Ever. At no point in history. Just because history is a thing that happened and people kept existing past it, it doesn't mean it was a "success". It just means some, as opposed to some others, have made it out of these respective hellholes. Once again, is there anything to learn from them? Since you seem to know so much about these times, is there any way we could have true equality from these 40,000 years in an effective, applicable way to current society that wouldn't crumble everything to dust?

Sexual capitalism will lead to the destruction of society as a whole because women don't necessarily value traits that help build a society up, as opposed to what does work in terms of being attractive, which is being sharp, manly and as good-looking as possible in order to maximize her self-benefit (said self-benefit exists in opposition to what would contribute to society). The only reason I insisted on the use of "men" is because of physicality. They are stronger, physically, and can easily overwhelm the average woman with little to no effort in a worst case scenario. Given that, it would make sense to be slightly more wary of them than other women (as a woman). Other than that, yes. I agree. Caution is necessary in general. They are being shamed. It's largely seen as embarrassing to be a town bike regardless of gender, at least in real life and not on reddit or other obscure forums. It's just that their attractiveness makes up for it, plus they have the preselection going for them. Women like men who other women like. Sounds very "gender role"-ish to me. So men are supposed to go ahead and die for women's sake, but what is the pay-off? Why should they do this, exactly? In the past, they used to do this with the incentive of the woman's love, a family, offspring that would be easily granted to them, as women lacked necessary rights. Said oppression doesn't apply today, so why should men keep being sacrifical for women's sake exactly?

On the other hand, there could be another, more traditional guy. Pays for dates, invests plenty of his emotional/financial resources into you, performs all the emotional/physical labor you request of him (even if you don't reciprocate) etc. with the added pay-off that he expects more from you sexually (or not even that). And I repeat: performs all the emotional/physical labor you request of him (even if you don't reciprocate) etc. with the added pay-off that he expects more from you sexually (or…

So if you're sexually attracted to women, it would makes sense to not hate them? Its not hard. You sound very debatable, what can I say. This is clearly not an amusing point of view. People also dislike the act of pooping, because it's ugly and pretty disgusting, but they still go to the bathroom when the need arises because they have to. No one gets to choose who they're sexually attracted to. If people did, we would've all been balls deep in our best friends regardless of gender and things wou…

Then life happened and I came to realize the unthought-about consequences. And these are things I’m betting many young women don’t think about either. It's a classic scenario and a typical trap patriarchal systems lay at the feet of women, and plenty of them seem to be unfortunately biting the bait. Clearly not a majority, but a worrying amount. To answer your question, of course it's about creating a power imbalance. When the woman is effectively powerless and unable to provide for herself (due…

This is just grasping at straws for obsessiveness' sake, as a lot of women seem to be doing. I agree, actually. I don't know if your description of the complex was accurate (and it probably isn't), but I agree with the sentiment. You can respect people who you also want to have sex with, and it's pretty insane to think otherwise, likely due to cultural notions of what sex is or isn't supposed to be like. When people lose atrraction for their partners, it's often due to a plethora of factors that have nothing to do with the complex itself. Maybe they've gotten more stale, more boring, fa…

Tangential, but there's a variety of ways to understand how women feel about the dating market and why they do so. Trying to date other men as a man is certainly one of them. Catfishing on regular dating apps is another. The reason is because both claims are irrelevant. "All of group x does y" is a pointless, nonsensical blanket statement and "not all of group x does y" is a pointless statement as well, despite being objectively true, as it doesn't take the discussion anywhere. What you're mentioning here is just two bad arguments bumping heads with each other. There's a huge number if women thst consider it an absolute deal breaker and many seem to experience visceral disgust at the thought. Bi men are often just seen as gay. I would say the main reason is the added amount of external pressure applied on the relationship, given that you're susceptible to both men and women. Male-attracted men are also seen as having low physical standards towards the men they would bang, which is another layer of added pressure (And, frankly, it is something I've seen…

I don't think it's a moral failure for men to like, want to date and sleep with attractive women. Never said anything about this. You're free to like and date whoever you want, just like anyone else. Or is it the case that I should somehow delude myself into thinking other men somehow don't see that in my partner? So what if they do? the red pill encourages- narcissism, vanity, insecurity, envy, hypergamy, epicureanism- I don't really know what you're talking about here. And hypergamy is a thing the red pill adapts to, not gives birth to. Being attracted to very older women or very fat chicks is not optimal for child creation. I ha e this pet theory that these men romanticize what they think is sexually available. Some. Not all. Enough to warrant caution. This is women's argument in regards to being wary of men, by the way, so you can't counter it. Most women date and marry within same socio-economic status. This is true, but the tendency is starting to crack, as men's use in women's life starts to boil down to either looking good or providing cash.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/07/24 12:15 PM

This is just a red herring, considering women date exclusively for money even within their own age groups. The only issue with "dating for money" is understanding that a lot of other women are doing the exact same thing, so there is a huge demand on your partner. You never know when he might leave you for younger and prettier, and it's not like he's forced to tell you in advance. Lol.

But the manosphere doesn’t actually advocate for means to help mens issues That's literally what it does, with surgical precision. It increases their attractiveness to women, thus serving their cause and providing a supply where there is a demand. it complains about women not doing it for them and blames them I'm not sure what you're referring to here. Can you expand on this?

I often tell women upfront, that I am unlikely to commit to them. Yet they persist despite their own personal goals. As long as you do this and make it clear upfront, the moral pressure is completely off of your back. Whatever they decide to do next is up to them, and they are fully responsible for it. They are by no means entitled to a relationship just because there is "couple behavior". 500 Days of Summer had an excellent lesson in this regard. If they tell you that they're not willing to com…

As long as they aren’t hateful I don’t see the problem Unfortunately, anything they don't deem "agreeable" or fit to their agenda will be deemed hateful. It's why you see reddit crying out for a "reasonable" influencer for men that isn't "hateful". In reality, they keep getting these "reasonable" influencers, but because they actually incentivize and push men towards becoming more attractive, they are deemed "hateful", and thus the hamster wheel of desire for one of these guys appears again. Even the whole "it's just common sense" feels incredibly dehumanizing towards neurodivergent/autistic people. What do these guys do in order to date? If they don't have it in them, they might as well learn from someone. And it's clearly not the "just shower bro, it's all so easy" squad. They don't realize how exclusive and downright bigoted they're being with these sorts of statements.

It's very simple, really. We are getting to that stage of feminism where men are subtly being coerced into fulfilling their traditional end of the contract, while being asked not to expect much in return from the other side. It's the "men should men should men should but women shouldn't necessarily" stage of things. Not much longer until men get fully beaten into the ground. Well, men on the lower end of the food chain, mostly.

You proposed it was an issue of simple "excitement" and it being "boring" that you admire or give people flattery, when the truth is that admiration that comes from a place of value never, ever, ever gets boring. Likewise, the admiration of people you perceive as worthless is as worthless as they are. The correlation is almost direct.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/07/24 11:37 AM

Incorrect. It's because admiration and flattery are forms of investment. When you do either one of these, you invest in another person emotionally. The thing is, your investments are only as valuable as you are. First you acquire and demonstrate value, and then you invest it externally, so you can get other people on your side. All things with measure.

Women are being perceived as "wonderful" because men are conceptually enslaved to them, due to a much, much more pronounced sex drive. Men are also the sacrificial sex and the ones Mother Nature couldn't care less about, so they get to have all the "risk-taking" and "warrior" traits because Nature herself couldn't be arsed if most of them went ahead and died for the sake of the women. These double standards are irrelevant, as there is no way to enforce them or apply them by any means. People will tell each other whatever they feel like, but reality has different plans for different individuals. Men put their family ahead of their happiness, A whole lot of bullshit, and you should be well aware of it. The reason men cling so tightly to their relationships is not because they are wonderful, beautiful creatures that inherently love women and their families with every bit of their heart. Of course there isn't anything wrong with that. The only thing to consider here is that you'd have to bring things of value to the table, in order for such a relationship with you to be desirable. If she's got another dude outside the door willing to be her mattress, and you're in no particular way more attractive than him, then he's going to become the more efficient option. Surprising how you are from Eastern Europe and can't see how wrong you are. Men do care about each other, but they do so differently, in ways that sharpen each other's strength, to acquire bargaining power in the social world. If men cared about each other the way women cared about each other, they'd be killing their own leverage in the marketplace, but that's a lengthy discussion for another time when I'm in more of a mood.

And this is why women tend to struggle with accountability and self improvement compared to men. The reason is simple. Women are, on average, allowed to get away with cowardice a lot more often than men are, because they possess value outside of what they could provide in terms of strength, stability and protection. The pressure to be "strong" and "tough" is a vector mostly applied onto men, as opposed to women, because more often than not, cowardly or otherwise weak men end up being downright w…

Bravo! Absolutely perfectly pointed out. That's just the name of the game. Even this desire people have for "authenticity" is, in fact, just a desire for consistency and maintaining ongoing transactions they have with other people. Relationships are transactional. If both parties put desirable things on the table, and they do so consistently, the agreement holds and the impulse to remain engaged in said transaction remains. It's as simple as that. There are other technicalities too, but they remain within the realm of logic.

Because those resources are not freely granted to them. If they have the option of getting with a guy with resources just to make their lives easier and lessen the pressure, then why not? I think it's less about psycho-analyzing potential partners, and more about women generally having a lot more leverage (appeal) than men do in the dating world. There is no "thinking" your way out of lacking leverage. Sometimes you will be left or betrayed solely because you lack it, and not because of tactical issues on your side. There is no negotiating attraction, and this applies throughout the relationship as well. Leverage has a tendency to win against a lack of itself, which is something …

Ignorance is bliss. I think people should treat dating knowledge less like a bible sequel, and more like a little guidebook you can look inside if things get confusing at a given point with someone else. Trying to find a consistent, logical, widely-applicable pattern to human behavior is destined to lead to insanity and more cluelesness.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/06/24 09:10 PM

Controversial, I know, but I'd prefer to remain a man, despite how absolutely lackluster, terrible and worthless my personal life is. This response would take entire ages to write out, so I'll just leave my two cents on it: The experience of being seen as a woman through the eyes of a man is the single most terrifying thing nature has to offer.

"exhausting and frivolous" is a lot better than having no options.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/06/24 06:10 PM

I agree. Not only that, but I would argue the "situationship" is a lot crueler and blinding than the "friendzone", because it creates the impression that you're aaaaaaaaaaalmost there, but you really aren't. lol.

I would argue having to take time to vet men is nowhere near the level of things guys have to go through. Also, guys need to vet too(albeit in a different way), if they want a realtionship. It's generally advised not to dive into these things head first, man or woman.

The only people who've ever worried about me, my whole life, through all the people I've met, family I've had, friends I've know, has been the women who fell in love with me. There just isn't a proxy for it. And even then, romance itself is isolated from the case of genuinely forming a connection with someone, because it features the transactional idea of attraction. You've mentioned you're tall and big, so no wonder you do decently with women. I suppose, somewhere inside, you know it wouldn't b…

Edgy and otherwise hilarious post, but I think I can see where you're coming from. I've had friends of varying ages pull these "asshole tricks" on women, and they seem to be working pretty well. Guys who wanted to treat them well and over-invested at the beginning, only to find that telling women "tougher" stuff and being bluntly honest helps a lot more in gaining attraction. The bottom line is that too much investment is a shout from the rooftop to her subconscious mind that you're engaging in …

As a woman, some men are going to love you "meaningfully", because they are very attracted to you and find you desirable, valuable and worth keeping around. However, some men are not going to love you "meaningfully" and will instead be superficial about it, because you are simply not good enough to hit whatever criteria they have. Attractive men tend to have higher threshholds. Unattractive men tend to have lower threshholds. It's not rocket science.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/24 02:05 PM
3

Yes. It's about making a calculated sacrifice. Less attraction, however also less of a chance to get attached or to have it backfire on you. There are degrees to this, of course.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/24 02:02 PM

All "dehumanizatiom" means in this context is treating your sexual partner like trash, lol. You don't have to know anything about a person to "humanize" them, it's all about basic respect such as backing off if they're uncomfortable, not being too rough if they don't like it, not being a pushy asshole etc.

A number of women enjoy casual sex. Also, a number of women are able to engage in said casual sex with men they are not very attracted to. Think of it like them going "meh, at least I'm getting my rocks off". Yes, you do. An ideology is a system of beliefs or ideals meant to accomodate you. Technically, ideologies are part of everyone's life, at almost any given moment. They are part of the larger scheme of "purpose". Also, what makes the ideology "weird", if I may ask? Guy sucks and is unattractive. Guy views redpill content. Guy incorporates aspects of it into his life. Guy's quality of life improves. There is nothing "weird" here. Red pillers aren't doing anything to improve themselves though, not…

Keep bringing up the word "trust", I am immune to this sort of gaslighting. Once again, men deserve to know whether their children are theirs with 100% certainty. Not the "I trust my wife who is a human being and can lie" kind of certainty, but the paternity test kind of certainty. I've seen too many people suffer at the hand of this magical "trust" to buy into it. It's a particularly sensitive topic for me. It's fine to trust, and it's great to be precautious as well. Such is life.

Whenever this discussion comes up, I just start laughing, honestly. There is no logical reason why paternity tests shouldn't be something that happens instantly after the child is born in 100% of the cases. Make it be something mandatory, not something fathers have to demand, then the issue of "trust" will be nonexistent 😂 "No, honey, it's not that I don't trust you. See, the government made it mandatory for paternity tests to be made after birth, I didn't demand it personally 😉" Everything else…

The Party was trying to kill the sex instinct, or, if it could not be killed, then to distort it and dirty it. I see. An attempt to kill Mother Nature, so to say, to find a way forward for humanity. /r/PurplePillDebate09/06/24 12:01 PM

The separation of men and women, the "gender war", is an inevitable (albeit slow-paced) conclusion of women's emancipation. It's glaringly obvious that most women want nothing to do with most men, and the only "glue" sticking them together in conservative environments was women's lack of basic rights, among which was, crucially, their financial dependence on men. Plenty of men out there who's only avenue to getting a relationship is "making bank" or "providing safety and stability". What happens…

Because it hasn't been that long since women were oppressed. The female brain is still adapting to modern reality, and the fragments of their grim past still exist within. For now. (there is also the issue of thirsty men's aggression, but ir's slowly being dealt with, as men are being sedated...)

Historically, men's primary incentive to get into a marriage has been consistent access to sex. You say your friends are doing fine in the "hookup" department, so that might be it. Their little things down there are empty, so the reasons to marry are next to none. Women become more attuned to the idea of marriage later on because of that "dual mating strategy" thing the redpillers are talking about. Along with their attractiveness, their leverage is going down and the "clock" starts ticking. The…

In the context of younger women, the mythical idea of "maturity" is stuck inside Schrodinger's box. It simultaneously exists and doesn't exist, depending on who you ask and at what point in their life you are asking them. I agree. It's not about "seeming gay", it's about society actively discarding/belittling men who show any weakness. A man who is both physically unattractive and unmanly/weak is a man who is going to lose out on a lot of social rewards, from the platonic world to the dating world. Women get away with weakness at a much more consistent rate than men do because they are inherently valuable. If a guy is ugly, and on top of that a weakass loser, then what is his value exactly? None. And people will …

Both the dating market and the general economic market of the western world are engaging in capitalism. When both kinds of capitalism are running together, individualism runs rampant and things deteriorate at a much faster rate on both fronts. The sort of masculinity that either discards other people's comfort or downright infringes on their safety and stability by exerting your own strength over them (more or less directly, manipulation also counts as an infringement). "Men are far easier and require less to be in a relationship", one of the most dogshit and yet constantly regurgitated statements I keep seeing recently. First off, you need to take into account the main criteria through which men choose romantic/sexual partners: looks. As long as the woman hits the looks criteria, the average man can tolerate a looooooot of stuff. You can see this in how varied men's "preferences" in women are personality-wise, even online: goth chicks, e-girls, hello kitty gir…

Have said women you are talking about tried being more sociable/interesting/fun to talk to? To become one of "the boys", one might need to possess the ability to be fun to hang around (without sexual influence). If said women have done their best to be interesting and their partners somehow still put them on the backburner (or in the "gf box"), then it might be time to end things. Not every guy is a misogynist; sometimes the woman herself is, frankly, just boring beyond being a girlfriend.

It would simply become one of the many drugs men get bored of as they engage with it more and more. For lonely/sexless/autistic men, the real solution goes way beyond the flesh tango. Sex's primary value to most men isn't the physical activity in itself, but the associated self-esteem and validation boosts you get from feeling desired. Though, I guess something like paid sex can be useful, albeit temporarily, if you go about it correctly... so idk.

Commitment/relationships are only as valuable as what they have to provide. Think of it like money. Money itself is only valuable because it can lead to buying things, with said things being the central value. The money itself is irrelevant. Same with relationships. Men and women generally tend to seek relationships for different reasons. Anyone favors capitalism whenever it benefits them. This can obviously fluctuate in people's lives depending on the stage they're at. When you're winning the game, you don't care about bothering yourself with the optics or looking "down" to see what the others are doing. Life is good, all is fair, just world fallacy etc. It's only when you're "down", so to say, that you look up and desire a way to take leverage for yourself.

People tend to naturally gravitate towards whatever mindset will benefit them the most. It's fairly normal that most guys (particularly the unattractive ones) tend to be "dating communists" and women tend to be "dating capitalists". Attractive people want sexual capitalism because they get to capitalize on their leverage, unattractive people want to equalize the playing field through sexual communism. Kind of obvious. Many economical tangents can be drawn from here.

The bottom line is that having leverage when it comes to dating is the single most important thing. Be it attractiveness, or simply minimizing the need for love otherwise (rich life, cool hobbies, great friends etc). I sympathize with this. The cards are on the table, but no one's telling you how to play the game. Such is life. Trial and error...

Respectable. Thank you.

Women often have this obsession with over-analyzing guys at first to do a risk assessment and keep themselves safe from harm. I think this is fine in itself. The issue lies in HOW you open up, WHAT you open up about and how much pressure you are applying on her with said information. Telling a girl you feel bad when people ignore you in social situations is a different kind of pressure from telling her about your whole hypothetical family that died in a car accident and expecting her to put up w…

No problem. If I may ask, what is this "white pill" thing?

I agree, to an extent. I don't intend to drop emotional boulders on my partners, because then I'd be an asshole. Overbearing people are exhausting. But, as my partner, they'd have to bear at least SOME things with me, or else I'd just be stuck in a home with another of the many sources of stress in my life.

Tolerating breadcrumbs is a classic mistake, even as a desperate guy. You think to yourself "hey, at least I'm getting something, right??" That momentary satsifaction will go off in the wind soon, as you realize that the pressure being applied on your mental health is not worth the very few moments of pleasure, and the scale starts to break. It's sort of like a deal with the devil. It starts from "i'm so glad she's at least paying a bit of attention to me", then it swiftly transitions to "oh my …

But the real question is... Why do you need a woman for this shit anyway? I feel like none of you have male friends, and are putting all this stuff that should be in a male friendship onto women. I am not going to live together with an emotional leech. If we're talking about a relationship, she will have to hit the platonic criteria of being supportive and helpful, otherwise she is just a mental parasite. My partner is supposed to be my friend as well, not a mind-game I have to go through to ext…

You are human, and thus you will be vulnerable at some point, especially towards your partner, who you spend time with. Pretending to be something you are not is just setting your own time on fire, as your natural traits will come to light regardless. If you are afraid to show weakness, do not worry, because you'll show it regardless eventually. I'd much rather skip the bullshit and save up on my time. Is she willing to be helpful and supportive (as long as I'm not overbearing) or not? That's th…

Absolutely. The honeymoon stage passes, but their baseline treatment of people doesn't.

Simple. Be vulnerable from the get-go, and display yourself openly. Do they react well? Alright, keep going. Do they scowl and only twist the knife deeper? Walk away. A lot of time gets saved up with this method. Incredibly valuable resource. Also prevents you from having to play mind-games.

I think you're going off the other end a little. I understand that misogyny sucks, but villainizing men who have to adapt to this new age of dating isn't going to do wonders in getting them to listen to you. People generally dislike being villainized, and they really like it when they're feeling listened to. Admittedly, it IS likely harder for them to get girlfriends than it was for their fathers, or especially their grandfathers, when these things just sort of happened and people got coupled of…

Even this general sense of victimhood will have its end. It isn't sustainable, and you can only wallow in pity for so long before you drown in the regret of lost time and start acting. Attraction is built on desirable traits. If you want people to be attracted to you, make efforts towards acquiring said desirable traits. Be insightful, funny, sociable, charming, handsome, pretty, whatever it is you can work towards. We are all players in the poker game of life and dealt random hands. I believe p…

I mean, isn't this literally redpilled rhetoric? It kind of goes like this: You are unattractive, thus you lack leverage. If you want to increase your leverage, put in the work and develop desirable traits. Done. You are now as attractive as you can be. Also, what is this "government support" even supposed to do? Might as well just tell them to "suck it up nerds, get to work" like all the redpill gurus do, since that will actually yield tangible rewards for them.
