You think shaming women over "cowardice" has any effect on them? Actually yeah. About as much as arguing on the internet can. I've changed my mind about shit after someone called me out. So has my wife. I was a professional realtor and dealt with rejection on a scale normally reserved for PUAs, your analysis is off. That was literally my point... if you extended the mentality about rejection to sexual advances outside of the bedroom you wouldn't be successful in life. So why would you think bein…

Made it through almost 50 years and living with 4 men one of whom i married and have been With for almost 16 years. So I'm guessing in all those years you had to have determination and deal with difficult emotions and still move on with your day right? This has nothing to do with thin skinnedness cowardice or success in life. It is not a "philosophy", it is a description of what really happens. Nothing else in life is sex and it is not the case anywhere else in my life This literally has everyth…

first, if i am turned down for sex once or twice early on i will never initiate again. Do you not have thick enough skin to deal with a little rejection? How would you make it in the world if you carried this philosophy over to any other sphere of your life?

Not the guy you were talking to but I am a parent of 3 kids. I would definitely walk away if my kids weren't mine. You are literally victim blaiming. By the way, my wife is 100% in agreement with me and said she would do the same if she were a man and had that happen to her.

Because it is... The man never had a real obligation to the child in the first place. Every hour he spent with the child was based on the assumption that it was his biological child and his responsibility. To argue that he suddenly has a moral obligation or responsibilty to the child simply because he's been a fraud victim for several years is literally victim blaming. People may pay lip service to the fact the mother did wrong by cheating but when they go on to say "don't punish the children thr…

An LT has potential, a homeless man does not. No one is telling you to marry a homeless man. They are telling you that to get a good man you have to make an investment. You invest your youth in a guy who looks like he's going places and what you get in return is hopefully a lifetime spent with a high quality man. There is risk but it's not nearly as risky as wasting your youth and fighting over the leftovers in the 30s dating market.

I support my wife, twin infants and four year old as sole breadwinner. We don't live lavishly but we're middle class. I don't really know what you're looking for in this post. I gave you several good reasons why women should marry before their 30s. If you have a problem with those reasons then point it out. It's just kind of weird to ask me if i'm going to support "our baby".

If you want to have more than one kid then it might be problematic to start trying in your 30s due to fertility issues and timing. Also your dating pool at 30 is going to be much smaller than in your 20s as many ppl have already paired off. Another issue related to the dating pool at 30 is that the average quality of the men in your dating pool will be lower as a higher percentage of the higher quality men will have already been picked and secured by women who saw potential in that guy when he w…

Why does anyone care about a potential partners previous sexual history? Other than a history of cheating, I really just don’t understand why anyone cares! Why would a history of cheating matter? The "past is in the past" right?/s Sarcasm aside. High n counts for women usually indicate some type of mental or psychological problems in my experience. My unscientific guess is that women with high partner counts, vastly exceeding the norm so like 20+, had sex with that many different partners due to…

In all honesty it's a no win situation. The least bad option is to nope the fuck out of there and hope she doesn't break a fingernail on you as you run out, then divorce her ass. If he hits her back he is fucked. If he calls the police then no one will believe him and under the duluth model he will be detained. If he gives in to the demands then it reinforces her crazy behavior. It's better to pay child support than live with someone who would treat anyone like this.

Are you really trying to say that women who have access to sex are more isolated than men who get nothing? At least she is getting validation. At least she is seen as attractive enough that someone wanted her even if just for a moment and only sexually. The guy who gets nothing feels so much less deserving and even less desirable than the woman.

That women need to work on their capacity to self reflect and start using it more often. The number of times I've been in situations that would be considered absolutely heinous if the genders were reversed is insane but because I'm a man and they are a woman it doesn't matter. A random personal example: Politely rejecting sex from girlfriend only to have her completely lose her fucking mind at being rejected. This would be seen as coercive behavior if genders were reversed and considering it's h…

Y'all are talking about different things. Getting some physical intimacy even if it's bad sex is so much less isolating than receiving nothing. Human touch and intimacy are important and there is no denying that bigger women can receive those things with greater ease than an average man.

The difference is that she is choosing to abort a fetus, whereas the man is choosing to abandon an actual human with needs. There could be laws mandating similar timelines to actual abortion so that he would be abandoning a fetus and not a baby that was already born. In that type of situation the mother would be choosing to raise the child without the father's support. How does she not have 100% responsibility in a choice that she made 100% herself? You just rationalized away a woman's right to choose. If a woman consents to sperm being shot in her would she still be able to choose? If yes, then you don't actually view cumming in a vagina as inherently procreative. If no then at least you are consistent.

Examples? The lack of resources for men abused by women. Which needs to change. It starts with women. The largest reason why us men act that way is because it determines our sexual success. Honestly though women won't admit by and large that they are attracted to these behaviors. They demonize the behaviors and then subsequently reward them. How can this possibly change without women even acknowledging it's an issue? If someone has a son they could tell them to rebel against traditional masculin…

It's a combination. The mental health community has a pro-female bias. They are more likely to want to help a woman over a man and more likely to see a woman as a victim. Men are socialized that their value lies in them being tough and stoic. It's a hit to the ego to seek help with this mentality.

Then hire a guy. Same thing applies even if it's a guy. If the reason she's stressed is she's earning tonnes of money and it is all going into renovating a joint asset, then just pay the damn price. Not all working women or career women make a ton of money. You're a couple. Honestly I feel bad for him. Yeah it was fucked up that he sent this to her before a business trip and that he went no contact but not as fucked up as getting rejected all the time and obviously getting lied to during the rejection. If I turn down my wife at least I give her the truth not "I'm sweaty and gross (proceeds to not shower until next morning)". I think a lot of women would not be down for another woman to see their messy house. I know that doesn't seem logical but I've heard a ton of stories about ppl cleaning up before the housekeeper/maid etc gets there. Which sort of defeats the purpose... Also, that can get expensive. Not a bad idea but certainly not a universal solution. Ultimately it's each spouses responsibility to have sex on a frequent basis. The only temporary excuses are hard physical or emotional labor, death of a loved one…

So I wasn't saying housework is nothing. Washing sheets in the 21st century is pretty much nothing though. Adding everything together we are still looking at less than a part time job in terms of hours just spent cleaning to keep a house clean. Especially if you are doing it efficiently by staying on top of stuff not letting chores accumalate etc.

My grandmother had her twins in the summer of 1937. She had to wash diapers for twins by hand during the height of canning season on a subsistence farm; nobody has to tell me how much worse it is to do laundry by hand. Then you agree with my original point about technology and housework. Ha ha ha. I remember being smug like this when our twins were this little. Imagine how long it would take if you had to do it manually? I understand housework and what's involved in it. I have several kids. I've cleaned the majority the house countless times while simultaneously watching my 2 infant 9 month olds. Housework is not that time consuming.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/11/18 01:23 AM

The time has gone way down. Manually washing something isn't the same as pushing a button. It takes practically no time to strip a bed of it's sheets and throw them in the wash. Compare that to manually scrubbing clothes.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/11/18 12:52 AM

Washing machines, dryers, dishwasher, vacuums all make house work less time consuming then it used to. Even though technology has improved the productivity of the work force ppl are still working 40 hr weeks because it's profitable. It would be difficult to spend 40hrs every week on house work considering the technical advances and the lack of a profit motive which still drives the 40hr work week for workers.

I know it's a day late but just wanted to say that guys aren't completely comfortable walking alone at night, especially with headphones. Men are actually at a higher risk of being physically assaulted in this scenario than a woman. I always think it's odd that there is more fear and social awareness surrounding women getting assaulted even though they are less likely to be victims of it. Male disposability I guess... Honestly... most guys, if given the opportunity to have sex with no strings attached, no work or effort put in etc, will do it as long as the girl isn't hideous. Most dudes would straight up have sex with almost every girl of normal body fat percentage and a lot of bigger girls too as long as they aren't too big and they have a cute face. That doesn't mean they would get in a relationship with one or want anyone else to know about it. That doesn't make men simple. This just reflects the differen…

If, for conversation, we define respect within this context to mean politeness, courtesy, empathy and fairness then I believe men on average suffer more disrespect from women than the other way around. Common manifestations are "happy wife, happy wife", women expecting men to pay for dates, double standards on sexual advances, expecting men to earn more and punishing men's emotions and vulnerabilities while asking that he share them. It's easy to not see the disrespect because we are conditioned…

Society respects men less in general and women respecting men less is a part of that but I'll give a personal example. Men are constantly told "no means no" and to respect womens decision to not have sex. Literally every single relationship where I have said no to sex (I'm a male) has resulted in immediate backlash. Crying, insulting my masculinity, guilting me excessively, one even kept grabbing me and basically trying to playfully force me to have sex until I yelled at them. Ask other men who'…

I love how the person just answered your question and you completely dismissed as being mens fault. The issue isn't fault, the issue is whether there is a respect gap in terms of civility and treating the other person like a person. The poster provided examples of how men are disenfranchised by society and the messaging society gives men vs women. Yes men should stand up and start challenging misandry but stating that admits there is misandry in the first place.

Men, by and large, do not care about women "seeing them as people" and "treating them with respect". Yes. Yes they do. We may not communicate that directly but normal men complain about their wives and gfs disrespecting them all the time. Mostly because it is only a minority of men who are not treated respectfully. To that minority, feminist disrespect and pushiness is overwhelming and a huge slap in the face. To the majority of men, however, it is a nuisance at best.... Like a mosquito buzzing …

The point was that most relationships are lead by women these days but it doesn't appear so to you due to bias.

I don't have that assumption. The only assumption i have is that it's more likely for both partners to be happy when the relationship is led by a man. Women are attracted to leaders men are at best indifferent to female leaders in terms of attraction.

Most families are lead by women. Women control the majority of spending and they have a major advantage in the SMP. You just don't see it because you've been told differently your whole life. That men are violent and controlling and women are wonderful. Those are societal narratives that put men at a giant disadvantage socially. None of us want to appear violent. That sounds great on paper but in reality someone always rises to the top to lead the relationship. Most relationships are headed by women. Men resent it because they are subject to basically emotional whims, contradicting desires and disrespect. Women hate it because they lose respect and attraction for a man they walk all over. TRP advocates men should take the reigns and lead the relationship and that both parties will be happier that way. That doesn't mean the man becomes a dictator, that do…

Physical strength is the result of a stimulus with adequate time and resources to adapt. In general men tend to develop physical strength faster than women due to biological advantages. This shows that even if strength comes from hardship, different ppl will gain different amounts of strength depending on their biology. Given that men have been the disposable gender for millennia I would argue that they probably have adaptations to not only be physically stronger but mentally more resilient as w…

In the west, men have it rougher but usually are happier because despite their hardships they have more resiliency and are more content with less. So it could be said women have it easier but cope with life less well than men do.

Start getting into manly hobbies. Even if you don't like them. Start trying to get out of your comfort zone a little each day by either talking to someone you wouldn't normally talk to or doing something you wouldn't normally do. Only a little at a time so you can keep the momentum. One day years later you'll look back and noticed how much you've changed. Fake it till you make it.

It manifests itself in more common but nuanced ways. More dominant exciting but unstable hot guy gets more respect and sex for less work. More comforting stable relationship guy gets less respect and sex for more work.

What men should or shouldn't do isn't relevant to whether af/bb exists or not.

I agree but it's also not an insignificant percentage of young women who sleep around with bad boys or hot guys when they are young. Af/bb isn't just limited to that one scenario either. I just chose that one because it's something that most ppl have seen or find relatable.

I don't think that's what he is saying. The gist is that the attractive guy gets sex from the same woman when she is younger (and likely more attractive due to being younger) and with less time investment. This study says that 24% of relationships have intimate partner violence. Of that percentage it's roughly split in half between reciprical partner violence and non reciprical partner violence. So i think a lot of women have trouble with AF/BB because they are taking it at face value. Alpha in this context doesn't mean chad. Beta doesn't mean basement dweller or super unattractive either. Also not every single woman engages in AF/BB but it is common. So what AF/BB means in non hyperbolic and non sensationalized language is that younger women a lot of the times are looking for fun. Because I have a life and responsibilities outside the gym and any normal adjusted adult should. Spending over 20hrs a week in the gym is insane for anyone that isn't a bodybuilder, gymnist, professional athlete etc. That is a huge selfish time sink and not to mention counterproductive to anyone except ppl at the highest levels of competitive fitness and most of those ppl are on drugs to enhance recovery.

Mind reading: Women expect you to just know what they want even if they haven't hinted at it and it isn't because they are smarter socially. If you do the same thing back to them they won't get it. Do you find that your thought processes have changed since the transition? I don't know if you're red or not but I'd be interested if hormone therapy would be enough to increase hypergamic desires.

Not a good definition considering there are many types of socialism that don't fall under that definition such as anarchist schools, market socialism etc. In this case it doesn't apply as the government in this instance isn't trying to destroy the capitalist class or create a workers democracy but rather fix some inherent inefficiencies in unregulated capitalism. We have a name for economies like this. It's a social democracy or welfare capitalist. Tldr: Government owned and operated does not au…

Do the workers own the means of production? No? Then it's not socialist. Are they trying to transition to a system where the workers own the means of production? No? Then it's not socialist. They're just welfare capitalists.

In general I agree with you a hundred percent but there are groups of women worse off than the average man in the west. A homeless woman has it worse than an average guy but has it better than a homeless man etc.

Again... if I am nicer to individuals B and C than I am to A does that mean I treat B and C equally? Is it conceivable that I could treat B better than A and treat C better than B? This is a simple logic problem. Nowhere did he state all women were treated equally.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/09/18 10:32 PM

Please specifically state in what he wrote clearly states that all women were treated the same. Nowhere in his messages did he say all women were treated the same. You are being hypocritical by saying your annoyed by other ppl admitting fault and not admitting fault yourself for making an unfounded assumption. Even a literal interpretation of what he said would not result in what you are stating.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/09/18 05:07 PM

The problem here is you made a bad criticism of an argument and refuse to admit it. It's not even controversial. Where in "group A is treated better than group B" is the assertion that all members of group A are treated the same? You keep dodging it instead of addressing this.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/09/18 04:51 PM

That wasn’t the point he made. I just get annoyed when people won’t just admit they misspoke and clarify their point, it’s not a big deal unless you try to blame someone else for it. Yes it is. Just because group A is treated better than group B doesnt mean all members of group A are treated exactly the same. It just means that members of group A are better off. If you are truly annoyed by ppl not admitting fault then you need to fess up.

Most of the guys raised by single moms that I know are more feminine than a typical guy. They are also less successful with money and tend to have emotional problems. I think this is why men just go straight for hot women. We assume none of them are going to listen or empathize anyways that just leaves looks Most men are too afraid to approach a hot woman. I think it would be more accurate to say most men don't have a lot of preferences other than trying to find their looskmatch which even then doesnt always happen. Men just take what they can get which gives women little incentive to improve.

Sometimes heroism can be attractive in women if it's done in a feminine way. I would find it very attractive if a woman put herself in danger to help malnourished children in a war zone. That's heroic but also nurturing. It signals to me that she is a good person and would be a good mother. I would not find it attractive if she picked up a gun and started liberating the villages. I would respect the latter more but it's masculine and most men are not attracted to masculine women.

Ppl reject ppl all the time man. The species would not survive if ppl just fucked with no selection criteria. Women just happen to be the selective sex and women get rejected too just far less often.

There are differences between the races. Obviously skin color but also hormonal differences, skeletal differences, different facial features but more importantly susceptibility to certain diseases and conditions. I think the whole "race is just a social construct" is a pretty rediculous position akin to saying biological sex is a social construct. Ppl say it because they want to believe it's just skin deep because for some reason if you acknowledge that humans adapted differently to different en…

Personhood is a social construct, so depending on how a society constructs personhood this chimp could do those things and then become a person. I didn't say person. Sure a chimp could have personhood but that doesn't change the fact that he isn't human. You could change the definition of human to accommodate chimps but that doesn't change the fact that chimps are biologically distinct. Gender is a social construct because biology doesn't tell us how we should classify people into gender roles, …

Bed death and serial monogamy are the result when both partners are seeking someone superior. If you are a woman looking for a man you can satisfy your hypergamy by finding a superior man because men aren't looking for a superior. If you are a woman looking for other women then that's a lot more difficult considering your potential dates are also looking for someone superior. It leads to serial monogamy and loss of attraction because either both women are equal and thus both unsatisfied or one i…

The core of AWALT and hypergamy still apply. Best evidence of this is the differences between gay relationships and lesbian relationships. Lesbian relationships are basically worse in almost every discernable way. It's bad enough in hetero relationships to deal with female solipsism and hypergamy. Imagine both parties behaving that way. Sounds like a nightmare.

Biological sex is not created by society. Universal physical and psychological differences between the sexes is not created by society either but the degree and quality to which these are expressed are determined by society which could be called gender roles. However most ppl incorrectly assume that because it's a social construct then you can identify with another gender and become a real woman or a real man. It's not about tribalism. If you start hinting that not all women are hypergamous (which by the way, AWALT isn't just talking about hypergamy) then men will try to find a unicorn instead. The point of AWALT is to really hammer in that you shouldn't waste your time looking for a unicorn. AWALT is saying "this is how 99.999% of women behave and this is why and this how you deal with it."

How do RP consider lesbians? Only as an occasional thought experiment. RP isn't about figuring out all women. It's about learning enough about hetero women to fuck or get in an LTR with them. Are they hypergamous with female partners? I susspect not. Are they then not considered women to say AWALT? Probably hypergamous. Their divorce rates are sky high, relationship satisfaction is the lowest of all types of relationships and you have lesbian bed death. A phenomenon in which a large proportion o…

It's called shaming because while men and women both participate in promiscuous behavior it's really only frowned upon in women. This implies that men and women should be treated the same for the same behavior. If slutting it up is bad then both sexes should be equally blamed. From an RMV perspective yes but it doesn't affect a womans SMV. Also the magnitude of the effect is a lot lower in men than women. Women will literally perceive successful men as more physically attractive, men will not.

I think it's more about same social circle and that higher status women have fewer men to pick from so they try to lock down the high status men before a lower status woman can. Status does not change our view of a woman.

This post is trying to say male and female sexual behavior isnt that different and that is hilarious. If a guy just wants sex then it doesn't matter if the girl is nice or not. It only matters if she is down to fuck and how physically attractive she is. If a guy wants a relationship then actual niceness is an important factor. Women are actively attracted to bad boys ex criminals, thugs and overly aggressive men. That is not the same as a promiscuous girl. That's not equivalent. I'd say most guy…

I would say a womans RMV is mainly a mixture of looks and agreeableness. Look nice and be nice. For a man I would say looks, a balance between alpha and beta traits, status, responsibility, and ability to provide/protect. It's hard to do male RMV on a 1-10 scale as women see actual 5s on an objective scale as being far below average. An actual objective 5 is chunky/obese with mediocre fashion sense and possesses too many beta qualities. They don't understand women and their attempts to please/ p…

Nope, nope, nope. So much nope. You're job as a parent is to set your kids up for success. A part of that is teaching a boy how to be a man. Society is forgiving to women and literally encourages them to take on some masculinity in order to perform in the job market. The opposite is not true for men. I know from first hand experience and had to figure out how to be a man after becoming an adult and it sucked big time. I won't make the same mistake my mom did in raising me.

Which blows WaW right out of the water. What? No it says that women enjoy a privilege that men don't because they are a woman. They are perceived as more wonderful than their male counterpart. This does not conflict with the fact that minorities are oppressed. It means that female minorities enjoy a privilege that male minorities do not. You all need to decide which way you wanna go with this. Either it exists or it doesn't. Female privilege exists, it just exists in a complex web of different p…

Right and there are huge advantages that a white man of my same class has over me. Meaning WaW doesn't apply to women of color. And you have a big advantage over a male of the same class and race for no reason other than you are female and females are assumed to be more wonderful than their counterpart. Privilege isn't binary. Most everyone has advantages and disadvantages that are underserved. Just because someone is oppressed in one way doesn't mean they aren't privileged in others.

Men of the same race and socioeconomic class will be seen as more dangerous, less valuable and in general be treated worse than a female equivalent. Sure middle class white women are treated better than middle class black women but middle class black women are shat on less than middle class black men by society. What's funny is I'm not a feminist but I'm using one of their concepts. Intersectionality. WaW still applies to minorities in this way.

No question about it. It definitely hurts men more. Big stuff: Harsher sentencing Unfavorable treatment in family court Assumed guilt in DV Assumed guilt in sexual assault Less shelters for men Medical research favors women Small annoying things: As a male I can't be nice or interact with kids in public to include helping a lost little girl find her parents without someone assuming I'm a pedophile. Dads are seen as less skilled parents or the secondary parent.

No problem man. I've been in similar situations. Just go easy with dread. The more subtle the better. Start eating better, wear better clothes, hit the gym, start doing more social stuff etc. Only consider going to crazy levels of dread after you've exhausted all the reasonable things and only if you are ready to walk away from the relationship.

Mind elaborating in being too safe? Shouldn't long-term sex partner equate to someone you feel safe with. Yes they want a certain level of comfort but if they feel like you can't go and get someone else either because they trapped you, or you don't have the balls, aren't attractive enough etc then they can get bored. This is why TRP talks about dread.

Anecdotally speaking I've noticed that women have a much harder time apologizing, admitting fault or accepting consequences for their actions. Not necessary for childrearing. It was an analogy. Again this may be true for you, but I think women are far better at being a village for one another when it comes to stuff like this. It's helpful to have a hand every now and then but most friends and family won't move in with you and if they do they aren't going to take on a paternal role. Women, more so than men, know how to foster support and consistent relationships with friends and family members. It's different in the same way as having a friend of the opposite gender vs having a romantic partner of the opposite gender. Friends don't meet your romantic needs. Friends don't help you parent and honestly family doesn't really either in most cases.

Yeah accomplishing things is difficult. Some ppl have a harder time accomplishing the same things as others because of societal issues instead of an individual issue. It's useful to address these issues in order to improve society. It's not useful to make up imaginary issues and use victim points as social currency. Usually I see feminism doing the latter.

What if she isn't by herself? If she is married I don't have a problem with it but... I just read an article of two educated women deciding to move in together. One has one child, the other two. Intersectionality is actually one of the decent ideas of feminism. It basically says ppl are advantaged and disadvantaged in different ways. The rub is though... a lot of feminists don't actually apply it fairly to men and are blind/apathetic to the struggles of men. It gets used as another tool in the oppression olympics to determine the pecking order of who out-victims who.

I think in general women hold a lot more social power than men even in their late 30s and 40s but they experience a sharp decline in that power as they approach the wall and in a sense get to feel what it's like to be a man. Going to the gym can absolutely help you lose weight. If you build muscle that will increase your resting metabolic rate causing you to burn more calories even while at rest. If you do cardio it will burn extra calories. No I do not work 80 hours a week. The majority of ppl don't. But I will say working a full time job and taking care twin newborns is pretty time consuming.

I know this is a funny comment but seriously... Hypergamy is a huge driving force in human evolution. Too much of it can be destructive but if women had no hypergamic drive humanity would stagnate. My point is different in that I'm saying a certain level of hypergamy is good. Even in a monogamous or semi- monogamous society hypergamy still exists it's just restrained. Hypergamy in a monogamous society incentives make competition without it getting too out of hand (raiding parties capturing women).

True, historically speaking women have been far more successful in securing a mate and producing offspring. Men actually changed the system and now we are more of a monogamous culture (this may change and is showing indications of change). This curbes hypergamy a lot and ensures more reproductive success for men. What women get out of it is a more stable society. As far as sex robots go, it will cause the value of sex to plummet. On the other side of the coin you have the equivalent of hypergamy except men aren't really attracted to status, power or resources. They are attracted to looks.
