Sure. That would be great! No one should live on the verge of starvation. So how are you going to raise the money to fund this program? Don't forget, people HATE taxes. And they really hate having to fund food stamps for the poors. And don't you dare ask them to consider health care as a right. I have already said that I agree the system ain't perfect as it stands. But it is better than nothing, and at least gives some protection to kids. Until they find a way to give financial support to everyo…

People who don't want to be served will avoid it at great lengths. Which starts to put too much burden on the woman. She has no control over time and cannot stop the growth of a fetus. This would force women into decisions they don't want to make because they don't have the luxury of avoiding reality. Sure, you can shrug and point out the option to give up the kid (one way or another), and say they don't have to raise a kid if they don't feel ready, but that is painfully shortsighted. Minorities…

You say that, yet in a world where the child support system exists, there are still children who live below the poverty line and only get to eat when the school provides a lunch.

It's not a perfect solution (the dude could just pretend to be busy or avoid her efforts to contact him long enough to get past her deadline), but it's certainly not the worst I've heard.

As a kid who grew up on the verge of starving because there was no support, yeah. It is a justification. I agree the system is flawed and open to misuse. But the alternative is not acceptable either.

Maybe it's not that simple. Abusers coerce their partners into having kids to further entrap them. One partner could have an affair that ruins the relationship. Etc, etc. Child support is to protect the child's best interests regardless of the choices their parents make.

Except that sometimes parents who wanted their children separate for various reasons - and those splits are often acrimonious. Affairs, incompatibility, e.t.c. Not every child is born unwanted, and the child support system is in place to protect them regardless of the shitty decisions made by the adults in their lives.

Child support is for the child. I know a lot of women abuse it, but in the end, it's about the kid having financial assistance. My mom and dad divorced in thr early 80s when child support was not a common thing, and my dad never had to pay a cent for my brother and I. There were a lot of lean times in which the only reason we had enough to eat was because the church gave us food baskets (our rural community didn't have a food bank). So yeah, the system in place is not great and prone to abuse on…

I see you and your whiny behavior, that's for sure.

Or, if you stopped to think about others for ten seconds, you'd complain about the company who expects these drivers to deliver more packages than there is time. They are criticized for not taking enough steps per minute. Or, complain about the public who expects things delivered in ten minutes or they bitch. This dude is just doing his job. If that 30 second delay is enough to ruin your day, you either didn't plan very well, or you're an asshole Karen.

How about talking to city planners about making streets a reasonable width and providing more parking options?

I find it interesting that she repeats several times how 'she can't control it' in reference to her anger. It's another common abuse tactic to make this claim. By seceding control, she puts her emotions into his responsibility. It's up to him to tell her when she's losing control, and when she inevitably does, it will be his fault because he knows what she's like and didn't prevent it. Many abusers are like this. They don't have the skills to cope with their anger in a healthy way, and therefore…

I agree. It's not like she's a physical threat and couldn't be restrained in many other ways that didn't include potentially breaking her jaw.

Are we sure an actual woman wrote that note? Could be any asshole troll looking to get a rise out of people. Could have even been OP for all we really know.

How so? Am I not allowed to say something when someone decides they're the judge of funny-or-not?

It's called ignoring things you don't care for. A lot of people would be a lot more happy if they learned that simple skill.
