It says "men who adhere to traditionally masculine cultural norms, such as" Implying that what makes it harmful is the expectation to be that or forcing yourself into a role because it is socially desirable. That's how it reads to me anyway. I don't know what you mean about you are naturally pushed into a gender role because if it was natural it wouldn't need to be pushed. I don't really know what you mean about social media forcing roles on people, I don't think I've seen what you're talking ab…

I don't think anyone said your goals were toxic just that the roles are toxic and can sometimes lead to toxic behavior. I don't think hormones and genes determine as much as you think but who knows, I think forcing gender roles would be bad either way. After all if it was really just genes and hormones it wouldn't need to be enforced it would just be like that naturally.

Don't you think it's more about how rigid the gender roles and expectations are? Like whether it's masculine or feminine trying to strictly adhere to social roles is probably bad for you.

Again the point is not that it should happen the point is that neither should happen. It is to illustrate a double standard up to you if you think it does that well or not. if you told women to tie their tubes rhetorically, no one would take it as an argumentative stance What rhetorical point would that make though? It would be taken that way because it doesn't make any sense.

Wouldn't that be what she wants?

The vasectomy thing is to make a point. Like if women can't have abortions and therefore lose bodily autonomy then we should force men to get vasectomy for the same reason, which deprives them of bodily autonomy as well. It is a rhetorical point not something people actually believe except maybe some rare extremists.

I see so zero women care about men's issues, but some men pretend to care about women's issues to get laid

Isn't it a little misandrist to imply men only care about women's issues because they think it will get them laid? Would you say the same of women who care about men's issues?

The term only applies to when telling someone something they already know. It is condescending because it assumes they would not know the basics of a subject because it is considered masculine.

Do you all still really wonder why people think this sub is sexist? Like just say you want women barefoot and pregnant already.

Do you really believe this is true of most feminist men? Do you think it's that much more common than in nonfeminist men?

I don't get it, what does misgendering trans people have to do with antifeminism?

what if, bear with me, both height shaming and fat shaming are bad. This is the problem with antifeminists you make one good point then immediately discredit yourself with rants like this. I'd like to believe antifeminsts just care about men and are concerned with some excesses of feminism but reading stuff like this it's hard for me to believe that the point isn't just cruelty.

Fair enough as long as you keep in mind that you are reacting to a particular kind of feminism, (and not a particularly popular kind) not feminism generally.

Can I ask why you use an explicitly radical sub with 10k users to get your impression of feminism rather than the more straightforward r/feminism which has over 200k users?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
