Well, my current relationship as follows: We are both in our 20s, I am working full-time as an engineer, she will graduate from college this summer. For the time being I am the main provider, she occasionally sells her handcrafts. We split house chores in a way that both are content. I usually cook because I like the process and I am moderately good at that. She does the dishes. If she is cooking then vice versa. House cleaning is also divided by our liking. I don't mind doing housework even tho…

Literally gave you examples of money changing birth rates and affecting how early in life people want to have children. At this point you just want to keep believing whatever antinatalist narrative you have been fed. Good luck building anything worthwhile with that attitude.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/26 07:56 PM

This program mostly affected years 2007-2020 when it affected only second child. And it gave the most results during this time. Of course birth rate now is low because: 1. Now the money premium is smaller and they moved it to the first child. 2. War in Ukraine. 3. Echo of the second world war (simply smaller generation now) The similar program in Sweden (if I recall correctly) was also only affecting first child. And this is does not affect birth rates. It only shifts the time. People just decid…
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/26 05:23 PM

This is a false statement. Financial incentives for second and third children are proven to raise birth rates. See Russian example with “maternity kapital”.

I mean it can be both. Harder to make someone pay alimony especially if there was no marriage and easier to prove fatherhood for the willing. I completely agree with your statements about state, that is why I think best course of action is to make alimony smaller or harder to get against ones will. In that situation only small steps at a time may do something.

Unfortunately, you are right. For now the best course of action probably is 1. Making it harder to prove parenthood. 2. Make alimony gradually smaller depending on the age of a child.

Draft is a final form of motivation. If you avoid it then you will go to jail. As of now I doubt many of the gen z will want to protect their countries and rightfully so. But as I pointed out in 1-2 argument, it won’t stop the government to force us even if it means violating basic human rights.

Thanks for your comment, I see your point but I just happen to have completely different upbringing. Because here in Russia government always combated any “internalisation” in the army. Because some times government needs people to die for petty reasons. I don’t think world will ever be at place there soldiers share bonds or ties eith each other; if anything it is against interests of the government. In addition society is too atomised. So in my opinion countries are better without draft. But if…

So am I. Basically sweeping it under the rug but not really solving anything.

Thanks for your reply. By no means I didn't want to discard socialism but to show the tragedy of it. How few bad examples can lead world to give up on the idea. Instead I argue that sometimes actors should be separated from the ideological basis and judged accordingly. And yeah, in the current state I think the new movement is necessary.

Thanks for your comment, I liked your example and this situation is exactly that I was thinking of then I wrote this post.

Thank you, for example with the church. If you well aware of the history in that period, you should know what happens next. All started from works and speeches of academics such as Martin Luther and Jan Hus. Where did it led? 30 years war AKA world war zero. Even later in life Martin Luther wrote that he only wanted to reform church structure and not split it. But the actors among whom were many different European kings and rulers used it as justification for the oncoming wars. Personally, I am …

I argued that in point 1. What is the value of such works if real life movement or parts of it, contradict its theoretical basis. Or implements ideas selectively. As of now such literature and ideas work only as the justification for the actions of feminist movement and not the boundaries. Just like many socialist countries in the past used the ideology to justify revolution, seize of power and ultimately death of millions of people and then forgot they ever had any obligations to the people by …

I think your proposition is spot on. And that is why I make this argument that no feminist author or activist can be used to represent group. Because, as you showed there are different kinds of feminists and it gives a person talking to you the freedom to choose "the face" of the movement to disarm your arguments depending on the situation and your personal belief. My goal is to demolish this tactic altogether by disconnecting actions of activists from writing of theorists.

It is one of a strategies, I completely agree. But you have to admit that your example also have certain correctness in it. Which makes any bystander realize your point. But again, I would argue: sometimes there is a point in engaging if there are people you can influence even if it is not the person you are directly talking to.

Yes, but sometimes then you speak to one person, others are listening. Even if you feel like person is not worth the time, the act of speaking in public might interest others and bring them closer to your cause. Especially if you manage to call out narcissism.

Argument is BS. There is an equivalent - workhouses. At least that is how they are called here in Russia. Basically a manual labor either at a construction or small production. Some are legit and can help homeless people with a place to sleep, food, and passport restoration. Buuuuut some are slavery 3.0. You are locked in small facilities with your id taken away. Basically you work for food without option to run away. And you can guess who is predominant victim of such places.

Another popular one is to blame “Patriarchy”TM. So if you support us, it will magically go away. Some try to make a gotcha. They assume you are a right/republican with strict gender roles and use “women are weaker on average so this is why. You think it yourself”. Here in Russia it hust plain old be a manly man. If you didn’t serve - you are not a man. P.S. Thank god I avoided this shit altogether.

Afghanistan is also an interesting example. Because they do almost comlete ban of female education. So we might see in the future if the second demographic transition is reversable. That is worrisome is some governments in pirsuit of higher birth rates considering making it harder for women to get in universities.

I am from Russia and I am living with the love of my life. My gf is also russian. Sometimes I see bullshit on reddit or genderwar posts and get upset. But then I remember that it doesn't matter, because whatever I did - was right. And now I and my gf are happy together. So if any people on reddit wants to be miserable let them be.

Everyone were cruel. It was also common for women to plot against their husbands if they wanted to marry someone else or simply disliked old and frail man. And if you look at our close relatives chimpanzees, they are also wage war on each other. And mind you, females also participate and often even start conflict between tribes. All I want to show is how much progress was done to become who we are now, and framing history of humankind as loss of happy egalitarian tribal lifestyle is some kind of…

Oh please, stop with this pre agricultural nonsense. I am not talking about your views as a whole, but this spreading of lost paradise idea is BS, which is speculation done by non anthropologists. Last time it was matriarchy in tribes, now it is egalitarian tribes. The reality is more cruel, you know why? Becaues if you look at the bones of women from ancient times, you will see a lot of evidences of "domeatic" violence. Which is not really egalitarian. The next, we have a lot of stories and eth…

You read me wrong, it is not thing I said. On the contrary i think you should try your best to grow relationship and not living in constant thoughts that you can find someone better.

Once again i have to explain to westeners here, that game theory is. Some qualities are more rare and valuable than others. If let's say 70% of population wants fit or shreded partner and 60% of population is fat there is no way preferences of everyone would be satisfied. It results in higher demand (more percieved attraction) for certain traits. And well, good luck finding your perfect partner if you are not perfect yourself. But you live in a strange world if you believe world ows you a perfec…

But you don't have an abudance that is THE thing. You are making decisions based on a false information that any person is a potential partner and i would say once again, that is false. And because of that every other reallistic partner would feel like settling. Which would result in dissatisfaction in a overwise normal relationship.

It is not about having any relationship it is about thinking that you can strike gold if you just reroll or wait for another "better" partner. And I would say both sexes are guilty of that. I would give you an example i really like. Do you know the feeling then you want to watch something or play vidiya and you have so many options it is stunting. And you try to decide that would be the most fun but alas evening is other you just spent it thinking and deciding. My goal is to say that abundance o…

We do chores both, but i would not be okay with one person working and the other staying at home.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/04/25 11:46 AM

That is why it is expected from both partners to work. And it seems that all prices are adjusted for two person working households.

Yes, you are more efficient but it doesn't make you more money. Also you still spend the same amount of time at work. However, chores are a lot faster now.

I mean dishwashers, washing machines, new appliances for easier choping food, grating etc. Steam cookers, multi-bakers and so much more. Better vacuums even automatic ones such as robots. More and cheaper take out foods with 24h shipping. See aslo: new house chemicals for faster and better cleaning, also new items to help clean faster. Out of all thing only bed making and clothes folding isn't automated or made easier. So staying at home is so much easier than it was before.

You are not 200 years old are you so why do you complain about times you have never saw? It is not the basis to demand privilages now in my opinion. Check the data, we already have reverse pay gap among younger generationa. You want more? And why positions of power? Why not representation in all jobs, manual and dirty? Yes, that means EQUAL military obligations. Is it promissed equality and acceptance for all? Or just exploitation with extra steps.
