I like EDM music and wouldn't be insulted by what you just wrote. I would scratch my head if you said that it was pretentious, EDM to me is about as pretentious as country music.

That is true. I still have trouble not seeing the process as an ouroboros. Everyone always want to improve on something, so they meditate to improve in one or several aspects of their life, but the need to improve will always be there. I'm afraid I may sound like I'm just trying to argue for the sake of it. I'm just inherently skeptical of anything that is so praised and also relies heavily upon a individual and highly subjective experience.

But I have yet to meet a person who could honestly say that. Isn't that a bit of a fallacy? Meditate will bring me closer to being 100% happy with my life, which would be close to impossible to believe if someone told you (or me), even if they did meditate.

See, I read that and don't feel a need for any of those things. More willpower and focus is always desirable, but I doubt the time it takes to meditate on a regular basis would justify it?

I see meditation being recommended more and more to improve inner game. This must surely be more for people with a stressfull job and/or little free time? I just can't see the need for it for people like me who don't have a single worry in my life, flexible work schedule, decent wage and a secure job. Or is it someone everyone can benefit from?

I had sex before I was 15 and I am not completely comfortable with women. Secondly, this is complete bullshit. 15 is such an arbitrary number, just think about it, how did he even reach that conclusion? Has he asked every guy when they had sex for the first time, how does he know that they aren't lying in the same fashion many men do about their number of sexual partners. And whats the difference between having sex at 15 compared to 14, or 15 compared to 16? Sounds to me like he was just talking…

When you say "take responsibility for her losing attraction", it sounds a lot better. Compared to taking responsibility for having a cheating girlfriend.

I don't really care if there is such a guy. I don't like weak girls, girls who have little self controll, and so the scenario seems surreal. It was never my point to claim that we should not look for our own errors, but one should not blaim themself for having an asshole girlfriend. Unless the guy abuses his girlfriend, that's a good reason to cheat.

So what if we play a part if our girlfriend does cheat. When I'm not happy in a relationship I break up, and then find a new girl, not the other way around. If a girl I'm with does it the other way around, she was never worth caring about to begin with. It's not much to ask for a girlfriend with a strong sense of moral.

That subreddit is just a drop of water in the ocean. 70 % of the students at my university are girls and this is my third out of five years, the longer I stay here the more troubled girls I get to know. Even those who radiate confidence seem to be hidding something once I get to know them. Not saying that everyone is troubled, but a alarming amount for sure.

Seeing how troubled many girls are gives me very little interest in dating almost anyone for a longer period of time. Browsing that subreddit for 3 min made me depressed.........

You can use a few of these just to shock a girl by asking something totally random, usually resulting in laughter. Most girls have told me that they find it refreshing and funny. Maybe Norway is different from the US, I dunno.

I thank God that I don't have to see social interactions as a chess game, and I played chess for a long time. Chess for me went from being fun to competitive, and it automatically became less fun. Is it the same with your game?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
