Like actually approach to express interest? 2-3X a year. Of If I went out more often it’s probably be more than that.

I go out just to socialize, say hi to strangers, make new friends, so asking out women won’t be as daunting.

I talk about personal struggles I’m dealing with then ask if she relates. Really nice way to establish commonality while showing you can get deep.

You’re focusing too much on specifics. Search and read the titles of whatever you’re struggling with and pick whichever post resonates with your situation. For example, I copy and pasted two separate phrases from your original body paragraph, searched them within this subreddit, and found like 5 different posts with great advice.

Go through old posts in the sub. They explain how to go from someone with zero social skills to being a social butterfly. Thats what I’ve been doing and it’s helped a lot.

They’re shy and have little to no experience approaching women

Approach 1. Women are generally passive when it comes to dating and think it’s unmanly to ask them for their opinion on where to go on dates.

A book on this topic that I highly recommend is The Man Not by Tommy J Curry

What you describe is not being desperate. You are putting effort in trying to connect with another person and the right one will like that. If they don’t, they’re not meant for you. Best of luck! Keep doing what you’re doing.

Get more quality matches by taking better pictures. Especially ones that include the lifestyle of the type of girls you want to attract. Want a granola girl? Take hiking pictures. Classy girl? Rooftop bar with nice suit and wine.

If she likes you enough she won’t care you found her IG. Also, like another commenter said, just ignore that follow rejection and approach her in person. from my pov, it sounds like that’s what she’s been waiting on the whole time.

She probably wants you to approach her in person vs start a conversation through IG.

At baseline just be somewhat presentable physically. After if you can talk that talk and know how to have a conversation and carry yourself with confidence you’ll do good with women.

“Hey this was really fun we definitely have to do this again!”. Some days pass, and you say “hey I wanna see you again, wanna get ________” together?
