Okay, I have a question about women spending money on dates. Most women I've seen dress up a lot on dates. Their makeup costs a lot of money. Their hairstyling costs money. Their shoes, matching outfits, and jewelry cost money. Most of them wax their legs, or do some other skin care rituals which again cost money. Read about the concept called 'pink tax'. Historically, women's products have always costed more than men's products. Which is one of the reason why there is so much of female infantic…

Thank you so much for this! Even the fact that guys try to go out with every girl they match with is stupid. No wonder you don't have money to pay for the date with the girl whom you actually like.

See, that's what I'm saying. I've seen the opposite. Most men have sex before marriage, and women don't want to. We both could be right at the same time and maybe we both experienced exactly opposite stuff happening in the dating world. Religious or not different people are different and want to have sex depending on what they want/their upbringing. Extending an argument/debate merely based on opinions is pointless. Yes, I have things to do, so I'm going to leave.

How do you know that? In my opinion, most women want to sleep with a man before marriage to get him to commit somehow for something long-term. A lot of the things you say don't have any references or facts or data. So even my arguments don't include them. It's my word against yours. Anyways, nice debate. Good luck.

Yes. We are justifying men pay a little something because most men want to sleep with a woman before marriage when they're dating. They assume it's a given. You can see here itself that there were 1 or 2 said that they paid for the girl for multiple dates, and they didn't complain about losing the girl altogether. Their complaint was primarily about not getting to sleep with her. I don't understand the point of you asking that question next. If it's actually related to fragile egos, then I'll bo…

So how about this, why don't all men just take women out for coffee first, and pay for the coffee if they like her. That way you met her once, can decide if you want to invest more. You save money. Can take multiple women out for coffee. Now women struggle with even 1 child because they're working outside and earning money too. The trad wices with 1 child never complain. We expect the men to pay because most men have fragile egos. They feel emasculated if a woman pays. Especially, if it's a woma…

Why do you feel it's one sided now? Also, btw I can tell you've never had kids. Try raising just one kid, while your partner works. The difficult part is giving birth to a baby and looking after it till age 5. After that it only gets easier. Also, what difficult jobs are you talking about? Not all men work in coal mines. Some run restaurants, some teach in schools or universities, some sell products etc etc. Everything you've stated are your opinions and not facts which are accepted by all. Your…

See, this is where I disagree. 😂. I dont think the gender norms for women or men were equal and fair in the past. Now, it may seem like women are taking advantage of men. But in the past, men were definitely taking advantage of women. Imahine if a woman told you that she will pay for everything for you, but you have to sit at home and take care of 5 children and take her permission before you buy anything. You can't just sit and play video games. You have to clean and cook. You also have to wear…

Yes, you're right. Basically, from what I've observed, men are more desperate for dates, especially sex, which is probably why this paradigm began in the first place. For instance, when women give birth, they have a natural inclination to care for the child even if they're sleepy or hungry themselves. Similarly, men have that natural inclination to do whatever is possible for a woman they truly love or like. In the current world, it's become more difficult for them to provide in the same manner …

So the car analogy and dating analogy are not fair, I agree. Look at it this way, when we take a car for a first drive, we still are using up a bit of fuel. Even if it's very less, that teeny tiny investment still exists. But every person wants a test drive before they pay up and buy the car. Same way with dating. A 10 usd or 20 usd meal, is considered small for most of these women. Which is why they don't mind sitting back and letting the guy pay. If the girl herself is someone who was raised t…

They existed for a reason too. I never said that women shouldn't celan, or dress modestly etc. I'm just saying that there are a segment of women whove done a really good job of getting what they want. They tweaked the gender norms, just enough to benefit the most. The same way men did a lomg long time ago. If you're not okay with that, then go ahead and try to tweak the system so it benefits you. Good luck.

I didn't really understand the first part of your response, but the second part makes sense. For instance, if a girl likes a guy, even if she knows he's not financially well off, she will suggest going to cheaper places to eat, or go for a walk, or do something which doesn't involve him paying. But if the guy is egoistic and acts like he's not poor, she's definitely not going to bother. In her head, she's always going to be like, "Well, he's wearing branded stuff, let him pay."

I never said they calculate. It's happen involuntarily. Liek when a hot girl walks in and they turn and stare even if their wife is sitting in front of them. If they like a girl, chances are they will open their wallet and drop their card on the check without even thinking about it.

Lol, look, bro. At the end of the day, it's your life. Do whatever you can with whatever resources you have. Women are also going to do the same. Soem are going to be happy, some are not.

Side note: if you're expecting sex on the first few dates, State that explicitly. Most women i know don't sleep with a guy u til much later. Sp no matter how many gifts you give her, even if she likes, she may not sleep with you. That's her choice. You get to choose whether you want to keep waiting, or move on.

I think in your case then you should realize by the second date that she's not into you and is a gold digger.

I disagree. You can chat or talk or videocall a girl and get to know a lot about her before asking her out on a first date. If she says no during this getting to know process, then accept the rejection and move on. You can't have your cake and eat it too.

That's what I do. And some men refuse to let me pay. Others take up that offer immediately.

Who told you that I'm not with those guys or haven't been with them? Yes, I agree it's a social norm. But it existed for a reason. Most financially well off guys like to provide for women. Yes, social norms exist. For instance, most women tend to have longer hair than most men. If you want to get rid of the whole norm, you're going to have to be more creative, and work harder. And nope, atleast 1 of these guys paid for the next girl too. A guy who ca afford to pay, will pay. A guy who can't, won…

So here's what I'm hearing. You're specifically talking about men who have financial troubles. If that's the case, either open your mouth and say that 'hey I would love to pay for both of us, but I'm kind of struggling to make ends meet, so shall we split' instead of hating women for expecting to pay. It's like if a guy tells me he forgot his wallet or lost it, I wouldn't hesitate to pay for both of us. It's because I can afford to date. Men want clear communication right, then be clear about wh…

Honestly, i used to think that way, too. Then I realized that every time i guy didn't like me much to begin with, he would happily garbage up the opportunity for me to split the bill. On the other hand, the guys who paid for me showed me through other ways that they genuinely liked me. I've seen the guys who split the bill, pay for other girls, whom they chased like crazy later on. So 'does he pay for the first date' is actually a way to find out how much a guy likes you. Having said that, yes ,…
/r/PurplePillDebate27/12/24 05:06 PM

I like the answer of the girl whom this is directed towards. I would also like to add that sex is like a skill. Like driving. So unless you practice with actual car you're going to buy, you won't really enjoy it. It doesn't matter when you start driving with that car. I'm waiting until marriage too, and yes, maybe at first it will be bad. But I bet the more we practise, the better it's going to get. Right now, I'm going to focus on the emotional qualities I'm looking for.
