I will add my list after this question. What if I do not intend to actively look for a HVM while raising my sons? I am going to nursing school to level up, living with my parents in the meantime. My dad teaches them well with chores and hygiene but he and my mom are both old fashioned when it comes to gender roles 🙄 My brother (a LVM) lives here too and I’m working my hardest to get us out of here as quick as I can which still won’t be until I finish school and work in about 2 years. So “finding…

Love this! My sons also know not to leave the car empty handed. Make their own sandwiches. I love your hygiene stuff I’m going to use that line!

I could have written this because I make sure every few months too that my sons are well aware of their own body autonomy and they are in charge of themselves.

I buy myself monthly flowers (at least once every two months) from the Walmart bouquet. Just to remind myself that I’m work an extra $5 to make the space feel pretty! Glad you did that!

Working on my mindset so I can take care of myself again. Finalized my divorce. Level one nursing student. Learning to love myself again.

Harriet. About Harriet Tubman. Great movie and she does a total FDS move. applause applause Self Made. It was a mini series on Netflix not sure if it’s still there but I’m sure it’s somewhere to be found. About madam CJ Walker although she does have a non FDS moment that made me cringe. Great story tho. The first wives club. Love that movie! Hidden Figures. About the women in NASA another gem. The Help. Another freaking good one! Edit to add: The Frozen movies (Queen Elsa) and Maleficent after t…

Isn’t it Romantic is pretty hilarious at poking fun at RomComs. I really liked it and who she reveals is her true love towards “the end” 😍😍

On a side note, I’m doing my damndest to make sure I nurture my sons to have their feelings validated. To learn self respect and discipline. To basically do my best to do MY job as their mother so they can be emotionally intact and healthy men. I’m so mad at my mother in law and father in law (ex) for how they raised my ex and the whole family dynamic is toxic. But I also know my ex, as a grown ass man, had the means and resources to help himself and refused. So bye 👋🏼 for me and mostly for my s…

Femalelevelupstrategy and this one are my main level up/fix my picker forums. I actually started on Reddit for Chumpladynation community. Chumplady.com is what helped me through SO SO MUCH for support while going through all of the initial fallout. They are a great bunch of people. Her website archives are filled with great material and I also bought her book “leave a cheater, gain a life”

It really is. I worked at one (twice) and I swear the things that go on between coworkers who have SO at home makes me so 🤬 Funny how I was able to resist 🙄 When we were trying to “work on things” (for a about 6 months) he would say ugly hurtful things via email (the only way I’d talk to him for a while after it all happened). And I would mention how it mustn’t be the marriage since I also got the same offers he did and somehow resisted. I also told him that the way the men were falling over the…

Thanks, I was pretty appalled how little I knew of his true nature that he would do that to me. But it helped me to accept the truth and move on. And I actually consider myself quite lucky that he did it so “early” because I still have most of my life ahead of me! Going to nursing school rn and gonna level up for me and my boys! ❤️❤️

Happened to me. 15 year marriage we were both always overweight, then I wanted more energy for our 2 toddler children as a SAHM. Workouts and started eating healthy. Lost a lot of weight, he got MEGA insecure about it. Then he lost weight cuz I did the food prep for the family, got a promotion and sudden attention for the first time in his life from the chicks at work (he works in a plant and the culture there is very much supportive of having a side chick). Boom he let it get to his head. Parti…

I wish 16 year old me would’ve read this! Young ladies this is true...I was the nicest person my ex husband ever met and truly loved him with all my heart. He cheated to leave me once we had two small pre schoolers that we both planned for. It was his mouth who called me the nicest person he ever met. Look what it got me 😕 I’m leveling up but knowing this would have saved me so much heartache when it happened after 16 years together.

Self made: The story of Madam CJ Walker I really enjoyed. Save for one scene in the last episode but no spoiler alert. Great series, limited time on Netflix only 4 episodes. You are a badass by Jen Sincero. I have mine on Audible.

Same. Also from a Hispanic family. So I feel that and I too make sure I take care of myself first and most. It really does teach my son something to see me overcome my marriage to their narc father and also they will only respect me as much as I respect myself.

I spent 16 years doing that too. I got over my addictions purposely just to be sure it really was him and not me. I was the ultimate cool girl pick me for him and he never grew up. And I still loved him during the discard until he left me and cheated. No more breadcrumbs ever!
