"The only time" is too extreme of a claim to be defensible. Women definitely do get judged for infidelity. Look at Kristen Stewart and the director guy, when she cheated on Rob Pattinson. She was dragged through the mud and generally hated for quite a long time. Her career stalled for a time. The director she cheated with, who had a wife and kids? He didn't suffer as badly as her and was barely in the paper despite being famous himself.

I was not replying to that comment, I was replying to a comment that was talking about "women's nature" , which I interpreted as cheating being a "women's nature". that commentor has since deleted their comment, so we can't really be sure that their actual intent was. well, the original comment was too vague to figure out which interpretation is actually correct. You talk about logic but you're applying the fallacy of false equivalence. But, to humor your rationale, if men are so great at negotiating more money for themselves, why don't they use those negotiating skills to get themselves custody of their children? Or, ya know, just admit that submitting a piece of paper that says "I'd like my kids please" is not that fucking hard. Stop playing the victim.

Most women don't get alimony. And CS rarely covers half the cost of the child, let alone reimbursing the mother for the time/labor of caring for the child full time. And that's if the man even pays it. Did you know the #1 reason why men lose custody of children? It's because they don't actually ask the court for custody.
