I'm being a pedant, but what you're describing is precisely "infatuation," especially in the context of what the OP was referring to by "love." But I agree with every concept you laid out.

I couldn't help mentally adding quotation marks around every "love" in your post.

That said, I can see it becoming a very flooded market quickly too. It already is, but you'll never hear that from either industry or academia, of course. They both benefit from people believing there's a shortage. Same with nursing and practically every other supposedly hot field.

Even the word "earn" is too similar to "deserve." It basically means, "I worked hard for this thing, therefore I deserve it and it's rightfully mine, even if someone else worked just as hard for it but didn't get it. And I should bitch and whine when someone tries to take it away from me, because I earned it." What's yours is what you can take and what you can hold on to. That's all.

Yes. You don't ask "why?" in hopes that they might have a good answer, you ask it because you know they won't.

That didn't stop her from pouting and complaining that TRP is still a bunch of shitlords because this speaker "says them differently" than we do. Men typically use language to communicate truths as clearly and simply as possible. Women typically use it as a tool to elicit desired reactions. Hence the incessant: "I, I just... um... god, this is hard, how can I put this... so, like... um..." That's their brain stalling while it tries to concoct a statement which, while technically true (if you're …

That's what they want. They'd just use the extra "work" to justify an even higher budget. Invent busywork -> convince people it's useful and necessary -> leech tax money to pay for it -> profit.

Not just family rearing, but all our natural human functions and activities are slowly being replaced with more work, prescription drugs and consumerism.

I don't see how marriage, or the current laws in the US, foster commitment. If anything, they incentivize the woman to run off because she'll almost surely end up with custody, a big pile of money, alimony and child support. And what disincentives are there to leaving? Not poverty, for the aforementioned reasons. Not reputation, as in the old days. It's not that having a family is inherently stupid, but within the current legal framework, and given the statistics, it's hardly a rational thing fo…

There was a post not too long ago about a guy who had actually tried just that, and yes, as soon as she lost weight and started getting attention from other dudes, all her love and loyalty for her man started evaporating and she became just like every other non-ugly girl. Briffault's law and all that.

If you really wanted to know you'd have just googled it (I have, there's an endless supply of info and tutorials). Sounds like you just wanted to vent about how you think today's music and dancing is shit before even trying to learn about it.

Really common tactic of antagonists: commit a first offense until it inevitably provokes retaliation, then act like that retaliation was an unprovoked first offense and use it as an excuse to "defend" yourself by increasing your initial offensive.

Exactly, it's like a Rorschach test: say some meaningless gibberish, and the other person will interpret it in a way that reflects what's on his mind and how he perceives the situation. Congrats, you got him to show his cards without showing any of your own.

Unfortunately, condoms are far from foolproof, and some of us feel vasectomies carry too high a risk of complications. Holding out for Vasalgel.

I'm actually surprised at all the scruples I'm seeing. You're dealing with someone who has no problem threatening to destroy an innocent man's life and put him into part-time forced labor, at threat of prison, for eighteen years. Regardless of emotions, biological wiring etc., this is nothing short of evil, and you'd be a fool not to fight back with any means necessary. And don't believe that it's just about wanting a baby. If she really wanted a baby that badly and that immediately, she could s…

They're pretty good at sensing when a guy is being hesitant/worried/unconfident. Sounds like you might be focusing too much on trying not to do the wrong things rather than trying to do the right things, but the latter is the only way to get what you want. And with women, doing the right things requires being bold and taking risks.

If you want to message her back at all, I'd still go with the "busy" thing, because she'll take "You know why" as an admission that you were ignoring her as a petty retaliation for her flaking on you, i.e. her game playing got to you and you lost frame.

This isn't specific advice, but it's a relevant article I just read. Quite interesting. http://blogs.wsj.com/cio/2015/11/27/the-growing-value-of-social-skills-in-the-age-of-automation/ There have also been articles coming out about how most young people today are ignoring data on the future viability of their chosen career paths. Choose wisely and you'll be sitting pretty relative to your peers.

They had two choices after the events unfolded: Continue sitting there quietly, stewing in their own disgraceful cowardice, hating themselves. Find someone to point fingers at for some reason, any reason, in order to distract themselves and any onlookers from their show of cowardice. Being cowardly scum, guess which they picked.

Statistics is one example. On paper, your methods can appear perfectly sound, but there are often seemingly-extraneous variables involved which affect the results, despite it being unintuitive as to how or why they could possibly have an effect. And some statisticians have gotten very good at setting up these variables in such a way that they get the results they want.

It's just funny that they can't comprehend that this is the definition of prejudice, even when you explain it to them.

they'd look down at me as someone who just wanted to be lazy and not contribute to society. That's their own feelings of inadequacy talking, because they know full well that raising kids well is the best gift a woman can give to society, and that in the vast majority of cases their own jobs only exist to make their employers richer, not to make the world a better place.

Probably because they relate to them better. They're like peas in a pod.

There are only two groups, those with power and those without. Natural human tribal instinct at work which the elites love, play all the parts against the middle, the reality is if you have power/money color does not matter. Fucking BINGO. If all the people who supposedly wanted to save civilization would just recognize this, they might actually be able to win. Instead they keep pushing away those in the same boat as them, while unwittingly inviting enemies right into their own castles.

And once you identify as a member of a group, it's really easy to be turned against another group, even if in reality those other people are in the same boat as you. Now you're too busy tussling with the other group over trivia to notice who's actually fucking you over.

Especially since "buying" a house actually means getting a mortgage, and we all know how well those have been turning out for people over the last several years. Like SJW's, bankers change the meanings of words in order to make giving them power over you sound more appealing.

On the other hand, you can come off as being a bit odd/sheltered/old-fashioned if you never curse in casual settings. There are plenty of cases where cursing provides a level of emphasis that can't be reached otherwise, so why restrict yourself by renouncing it? But yeah, as with anything linguistic, cursing loses its meaning and potency when overused.
