Leaning in is suspensful and surprising. IMO, pulling her in is a little shocking but also surprising. Depends on the girl. If she's more shy, lean. More outgoing, maybe a pull.

Oh, yeah! If you're working on yourself then that's even better. Like, your girl's gonna support your ass and not let you give up! Yeah, eventually in the long term, a girl's going to notice every little detail, because every day isn't going to be sunshines and rainbows. And yeah maybe it snowballs... when we think, we certainly get a little irrational. I think it takes a lot of that scenario to make a girl lose respect for her man. I think what you're describing is a "pity party" and those will…

Yeah marriages aren't always the most fun 😂 Generally come with a lot more responsibility, stress, and a lot less time and fun. Unfortunately I'm acutely aware of that fact. It's hard, but to have something last is often to make it last. I'm basically everything but married to this guy. We take care of each other. And assertiveness is great! It makes me happy when he's assertive, to a point. That's a guy who knows what he needs and wants and that's the kinda guy I'm looking for. So, yeah, your t…

No I understand. Most of what you said was very valid. I don't say anything against that. I was simply replying to a comment to say that opening up is okay, because I'm going to marry the man I am with and we both have some mental issues. I just related particularly with the comment. I didn't have anything against what you said. I only said that I wish my guy would open up more often and that it's okay to do so if you want a long term relationship.

Lol he broke up with me, so no. Turns out he was bisexual and preferred guys. But we were together for 2 years.

The thing is, yeah, I'm turned off for a minute. The guy's crying; he's in emotional anguish? But tomorrow when we talk about it? We can move on, mentally and sexually. Let's be real honest right now. You're not going to be able to hold your emotions in forever, and if you're going for long term and you have this thinking, then good luck. If you're looking for hook ups, then sure, your method works. But it's not going to keep you in a relationship. I was in a relationship in which the guy was de…

This is personally from a woman in a long term relationship. I understand that this isn't the r/relationshipgoals subreddit or anything like that, but I read this and I want you to know that the " always be an emotional pillar of strength" fucking pisses me off at this point. I just want my SO to open up, to let me help him, because he is an emotional pillar of strength for me. He makes me feel better when I am upset, which is often. We've gone through some tough times. When my SO finally opens …

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
