I don’t really know enough about 1st and 2nd wave because I haven’t researched them much but I know that back then, Women were actually treated far worse in that they couldn’t vote and weren’t allowed to go for a job. I basically at least agree with the ideology. I believe in equal rights but modern feminism is mostly just full of misandrist lunatics.

The only reason the male shooters aren’t held accountable is because they end up killing them selves afterwards and when they don’t, they are arrested. However men are still given more jail time for the exact same crime no matter what the crime is. I feel like a lot of what keeps it alive is the amount of celebrities and corporations that endorse it because it makes them look good but when more people realize that feminism isn’t what they thought, those same corporations and celebrities will turn their backs on it.

I was a casual feminist. I believed in the wage gap for example and thought that life was easier as a male. At the time, I believed that feminism was about gender equality and I thought that the extreme feminists (the man-hating ones) were fringe extremists and not “real” feminists. I thought anyone against feminism didn’t believe in gender equality. I never knew about patriarchy theory but would have probably believed it.
