Comment removed I have left reddit for Voat due to years of admin mismanagement and preferential treatment for certain subreddits and users holding certain political and ideological views. These actions of the site admins have led to censorship and the arbitrary removal of any content they dislike. As an act of protest, I have chosen to redact all the comments I've ever made on reddit, overwriting them with this message. If you seek a better user experience, you are welcome to join me on Voat!

I have never suggested that as a solution. I'm simply pointing out that the Steubenville case was a great example of rape culture. If you already believe in the concept of "rape culture", this will seem like a case in point. If you don't already buy into the concept, the case is hardly selling itself, and you're not selling it well either.

The line about women and the 70's, in case I wasn't clear enough, was simply a hypothetical. It's not a position I actually believe; rather, it was an example used for a larger point. I can link for facts should you doubt me. I do, in fact, doubt you. However, if you want to link some stuff for me, I'll read it. :)

I'm sorry, am I unwelcome here for having an opposing point of view on this thread? No, this community is not a moderator-enforced circle jerk unlike some subreddits (cough SRS cough). The comments are open so you can share your opinion. However, consider this: If I were to walk into an r/Feminism thread and say "Wow, this is pointless, women already got equality in the 70s" or something like that, I wouldn't be welcomed warmly, and understandably so. The thing is that if you're walking into a c…

You forget men are not ignored. I believe that's exactly what this submission was talking about. Ignoring men's health in the interest of putting the message out to women only seems like ignoring men, no? Rather, we are well represented without "men's groups." Then why are you posting here? This entire subreddit exists because of people that feel that men do, in fact, need representation by mens groups. You're not going to find much sympathy for that viewpoint here. Furthermore, I'd like to poin…

I don't know whether you're trolling or not, but this isn't a very good space for this particular discussion.

He's in ninth grade. In America, that means he's in high school and is about ~15 years old. There are no deans of departments in high schools.

Name me an MMA promotion that allows something like that. Such a thing is a very rare anomaly.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
