Totally understand, online it always turns into a us vs them. No reasonable solutions, no logic. Just people hating either side. It's tiring to deal with, so its much easier to eyeroll and go to subreddits you can enjoy that don't have bullshit politics added onto them or have it tied into every post.

Absolutely nothing. It's just some bullshit that they've conjured up in their mind. It's all they are, they have no conscious reasoning, no forethought about others. In some ways I agree, I've blocked pretty much every political subreddit I can find. Maybe it's because double standards are pretty shit for both sides. Ask for height? Okay, what's your weight? Seems equal enough, except it's not. Because weight can be controlled unlike height.
