WBC still disrupts the funerals. The noise and commotion they make, as well as the disrespect in a time of sadness and solemnity, easily constitutes disruption. It takes a lot less to disrupt a funeral than it does to disrupt a talk being given on a university campus. I think anyone would consider what WBC does at funerals to be a disruption. Trust me, if the WBC could get away with the shit these radfems do, they'd do it just the same.

The WBC isn't disrupting funerals? Your idea of what constitutes disruption must differ significantly from mine.

I'd say your interpretation was flawed. There's nothing in my response that indicates aggression. It's just a very clearly worded question, worded to limit "interpretation" and just get specific information. When I said "I just want to understand," that's intended to let you know that I don't have some other reason for asking the question, least of all the aggressive making of a point. Let's not let our contact with the radfems poison us so much that we assume that everyone who questions us is a…

Who's not calm? I'm just asking a question. I was just asking for clarification. Actually, I fail to see how the motivation of either party enters into it. If we're taking motivations into consideration, how does that change things? Again, just asking.

I just want to understand-- Are you suggesting that this fact contradicts my assertion that the mouthpieces in question are no better than the WBC?

I couldn't even watch the whole thing. What a bunch of strident morons. They're no better than the WBC.

I haven't seen anything that's closer to a religion than feminism. The critical thinking that lead me to atheism is the same thing that makes me an egalitarian.

"If a woman punches a man first, do you think it's ever acceptable for him to hit her back?" Ever? I guess "ever" includes "in cases of self defense", but I'd wager most people don't look at the question like that, and allow their personal bias to include mere retaliation. People LOVE that retaliation stuff.

And the fact is that a lot of the people in this group would consider themselves egalitarians. We just come to /r/MensRights to see the stories and opinions that the feminist-biased mainstream doesn't cover. To see stories with a feminist slant, we don't even have to go to /r/Feminism. We just check the front page.

I don't quite see how any of this protects against bullshit claims... Bullshit is bullshit. If someone's going to lie, it doesn't really matter whether you get explicit consent or not, right?

"And if you’re ever in a situation in which you want to have sex but the other person doesn’t ask you for it, don’t do it. It’s only good if you both want it, and can tell each other you want it, and are sure you both want it." "Remember, it’s not good unless both people can say they want it. If a girl isn’t saying anything, that doesn’t mean she wants it. If she isn’t saying specifically that she wants it, then it’s wrong." As though every sexual encounter in history that didn't commence with t…

Never heard of TumblrInAction before. Thank you SO much. Reddit's infection with SRS has made it look like the internet (and the world) is being overrun with insanity, and it overwhelms me with such regularity that I have to take long breaks from Reddit. Until today, I had no idea that the SJA types were just a fringe group with big mouths. Sometimes it feels like they're everywhere.

This is a really important thing for us to remember-- about EVERYTHING. The angry, never-stop militant feminists we encounter are the way they are specifically because of what OP is talking about. Your goal in life should be to be happy and enjoy life. Issues like this definitely get in the way of that. Well done, OP. This should be custom-edited and reposted in a thousand different subreddits.

Nope. Not watching this. I can deal with the stuff I see on /r/gore and /r/spacedicks, but THIS... No, I know better than to click this link and ruin my whole fucking day.

Not mentioned in the article-- When you must use the word to approximate something, it's good to get into the habit of adding "something" in front of "like." "It was, like, ten feet." becomes "It was something like ten feet." A much more complete sounding sentence, and grammatically correct.

His skill level is only part of it. As I detail above, there are many things out of his control in a situation like this that could end up biting him in the ass. Even the BEST PUA could end up getting fucked over.

You can never eliminate risk from your life entirely. Sure, but that's like saying "Why wear a seatbelt? You're gonna die someday anyway...". You can't eliminate risk entirely, but when you can, you should. Ass is ass, but money is money. if you are socially inept, trying to use gimmicks can bomb. Save it for an environment where you can afford to screw up. Practice there. Absolutely right. If you MUST shit where you eat, you can at least be prudent about it.

I work in the industry too, on the entertainment side, and I can tell you that as common as it may be, it's still possible for someone to fuck you up. It only takes one rejected chick, one misread sign, one guy that sees you doing it and decides to cockblock you, and you'll be unemployed before you realize it. Sure, waiter jobs are common and it's common for people to use their waiter job as their own private game preserve, but it's also common for people to get fired for trivial shit at such jo…

Like I said- It's not about what's "allowed", it's about the shit that can (and does) happen when you do. If your boss is the kind of guy that can easily shrug it off when some nutty chick (or her friend, or some guy that she's there with that is waiting to make his move and sees you as a threat) decides to tell your manager that they won't be coming back because the waiter's flirtations are making them uncomfortable, then great. I happen to know a lot of bosses that wouldn't be so permissive (a…

The bosses of "everyone else" might have something to say about that. The "fair game" might be the one a chick plays when you reject, offend or disappoint her and she decides to make an example of you at the one place she knows she can find you. My advice isn't based on some goofy moral code. It's simply a way to avoid letting your pick-up games fuck up your job.

I'm speaking from experience. If you try and pick up women (regulars at that) at the restaurant where you work, you're running the risk of: having the uninterested ones not come back having an uninterested one bitch to your boss having your boss or a co-worker notice that you're picking up customers (which can be bad for your job AND your game) having one you went out with and ultimately didn't like come around (which you can't prevent) having one you went out with go psycho and try to make trou…

Don't shit where you eat. Pick up girls somewhere other than where you work, or you'll be sorry.

Nobody likes a tightass, and everyone loves a guy that can't be fucked with. Agree and exaggerate, but in a way that says "I can laugh at your premise, but I'm smart and secure enough not to internalize it and get pissy." Never, EVER retaliate unless you have a good clean killshot. Otherwise it's just tit for tat and people will tire of listening to it.

One more vote for "react indifferently". Basically ignoring such attention whoring is a good way cut the wheat from the chaff. If a girl's really trying to get YOUR attention (and not just jerk you around), she shouldn't get away with lavishing sexual affection on someone ELSE (unless she's already yours and she's girl-hunting for a future trio on your behalf). Ignore.

If you give a woman the opportunity to say "let's just be friends" and you let it go unchallenged, you deserve to lose out. There should be nothing you say or ask her for that "let's just be friends" is an appropriate response to. If you ask her out for dinner or something and she says "let's just be friends", it's "Friends eat dinner... Don't be presumptuous. If you don't want to hang out, that's fine, but don't think hiding behind the word 'friend' is going to get you out of it." Any variation…

One caveat: The WAY you ask this question is very important, and doing it wrong can put someone on defense. You have to ask it like you're just asking incidentally, like "Blah blah blah-- sorry, what's your name? (name given) -- Okay. I'm (your name). So, yeah, (their name), blah blah blah." Some people fuck this up by leading with that question all by itself, which people often are cautious about. Make it conversational and casual, not like you're asking for "information". I've seen so many ama…
