It’s too late for me sir, I already went to college. Studied engineering. at 26 I’ve already paid back my debt and I’m making more money than most people 15 years older than me. I agree about what you said that it’s not ideal to start a family. I spent so much time in the library and in class that I had no opportunity to settle down and I probably won’t within the next 2 years. However when it comes to making money fast college is the ideal route, as long as you study math and science. Learning …

Congratulations on your success. Hope you make a full recovery. Wish your family the best. You are an outlier definitely, and most people do not have such outcomes without the college degree. I will still say that it’s not foolish if you go to community college and keep costs low at a state school and major in sciences. Engineers can start at 100k salary When you were 20 years old it was much easier to break into a field without a degree. The same is not true for us young ones. The masters degre…

I didn’t say you have to go to college. If you want to be successful statistically speaking you should go to college. Mind you I said statistically speaking. What is a Christian to do if he wants to to work at a large financial firm? I hope you don’t believe a Christian should not strive for corporate success Community college is very affordable with state benefits. Academic scholarships are also a thing. I agree it is a privilege. It is one that has been extended to the majority. I also agree c…

I assume you are an adult, so let’s be realistic. The majority of Americans do not wish to join the military. The majority do desire to go into fields that will be at the very least supplemented by a college degree. It would not be far fetched to say a college degree is the widely accepted modern standard. The exception is not the rule.

True. I think this definitely does seem like a problem women are more prone to. I’ve rarely seen a man fall in love after having sex. In my own experience it’s been the opposite. As a man you tend to know from the get go if a girl is someone who is at least marriage potential for you. A girl you had no intention of marrying will not suddenly look more marryable no matter what kind of sex. We tend not to mix emotions and sex the same way as women do on average. That’s the evil of lust is that it …

All good points. My counter argument is that vetting, condoms and birth control do mitigate risk substantially. I would say that these probabilities will have a slightly higher impact once you approach a certain number of partners; at this number the cost will start to outweigh the benefit. Moderation would play a big part. Of course the spirituality is the most devastating aspect. Edit : I agree genital herpes will put ur attractiveness to zero immediately for most ppl

Marriage is beautiful. It was designed to be beautiful. What it has become today is another story. Marriage was intended to be permanent; a spiritual bond between man and wife. however these days a woman can leave the marriage at the drop of a hat and be rewarded with half of the spouses hard earned labour. I do not think God intended this. If you do get married, you must find someone as divorce -averse as you. A true woman of God.

Thank you for sharing man I appreciate the insight from someone with more life experience. Were you both virgins before marriage?

The problem is that in biblical times men would be married at 18-21, greatly reducing probability of sin. In these modern times the life timeline of a modern youth is designed to fail spiritually. It almost subsidises sin. You can’t get married till you go to college. Boom you’re 22. Maybe you need a masters degree due to competitive economy boom you’re 24-25. Of course you need a stable job boom you are 26. The bulk of your most energetic and youthful, testosterone packed years you are intended…

That’s a good point also. Thanks for sharing. I will say this, if I had read books I believe it’s a small chance I would have found one that aligns with my ideas today. I’m sure they are out there, but there’s a lot of propaganda out there to sort through. On the contrary, I’m sure there were plenty of ways that I could have failed developing a healthy view on sex the way I did go about it when I was younger. The only sources you have as a 17 year old male with no father figure, are other 17 yea…

David sent her husband to go die in battle. He didn’t manually kill him. Christians believe it’s wrong because God tells us so. True you are right. I try not to take it lightly though

I like your breakdown and detailed answer. I still don’t understand your position on why the keyboard analogy doesn’t work. Where does it become enough? That is a valid question. I would think anything beyond 10-15 times, regardless of how many different partners, would give you enough to know to where you could lead someone who has never done it before into it and be aware enough to adapt to what she personally needs quickly. Hundreds is excessive and the learning curve tapers off long before t…

Great response. I agree mostly. I will say that there is much more to gain from being good with women other than impressing them. The more attractive you are the more choice you have in choosing your mate. Attractive meaning : fit, financially stable, charismatic. Not only that but girls can make your life a lot easier if they like you especially in the work place. Have a report youre submitting late? Don’t worry, Janice In accounting will look the other way because she’s got her eye on you. So …

Well that’s the question exactly: whether or not going into sex not knowing what your doing would cause your wife to respect you less than say, someone who whisks her off her feet from the get go. I know the answer when it comes to worldly women, which is yes. They do respect a man who is good. I am questioning if these things will have significant bearing on a woman of God. What you are saying is equivalent to saying that since I play the grand piano, I shouldn’t practice on a keyboard. You mak…

I agree with that, but I was speaking more so about respect for a mans leadership and experience, wasn’t really referring to validation.

I appreciate the frankness of your answer. I have repented. I have committed to not engaging in this activity until marriage. I am just trying to make the logical component agree with what my spiritual component already knows to be true. I think guidance in these matters would have been helpful in youth. May I ask, respectfully: do you believe that the intro to you and your wife’s intimate relationship would have been just as good if, say, she weren’t a virgin and you were? Would it have been be…

Hey, I wanted to ask your permission to post my new sub on r/rpchristians. I took what you said to heart about not using another sub to complain about r Christianmarriage and I made my own. I appreciate it

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
