I agree with you...he is searching for happiness and maybe if he is a happier the time spent together when they do see each other may strengthen their bond. That would be a good outcome. thanks for responding.

he should move on...leave us all alone and cry when he gets old cause nobody will care...each of his kids will do onto him as he did unto them. I used the incorrect divorce site. sorry to have bothered u.

you make good point. thank you for ur perspective. he is retired, no job to go after. he is moving because he feels lonely and according to what he told the kids, his nephews love him and appreciate him more. mind u they always talk bad about each other. I am just angry that he is bailing out, as easy as that, and making it the kids fault. No co parenting, no taking his son to appointments, no taking him shopping, or to a movie. Not spending any quality time or teaching his boys to be men. None …

thank you. I am venting, angry that he is reneging his duty as a father. I never saw this coming and for him to blame the kids blows my mind. He was verbally abusive to us all, he punched me once, and that was the last straw so I asked him for a divorce. Now instead of trying to mend the relationship with his sons, he tells them its their fault he is leaving town. That is fucked up. He is the grown up here supposed to make an effort to be a part of his son's life but because our son is not overl…

there is a parenting plan, created and agreed upon with mediation when the boy was 13. one night a week, every other wknd, 1 month in the summer, 1 week winter break, spring break, and any time he wished. he told me not to divorce him and make him a part time dad, multiple times. he was abusive and a cheater, mean and rude-left me no choice but to leave. I thought he would own up his responsibility to co parent, and be a part of his son's life. I wanted to leave town, be closer to my family but …

i hear u but he moved to another state and asked me to move with him to be close to his daughter when we first got together. I dont understand why he has to move hundreds of miles away from his sons that we had together.
