When my daughter came around, that was kinda it for me, I noticed after 14 years, last year, that was the real deal case, so we are working it out but till she sees it, I dunno what we are doing

I assume most are different, but in THIS case sounds like you are better off though yeah first few weeks are or might suck pretty bad, but you need to strengthen up for what may be coming, I think a lot of us are experiencing "success" but sure as shit dont feel like it, most of us in here are getting away from the thing in our lives that is acting like cancer, just burns at first, your brain will be rewiring itself for a while and body, just EAT and do NOT drink if possible, you need to be righ…

And then they wonder why family members go off the deep end and do stupid things, they will blame the weapon as the reason...

Yeah and she made you out to be some abusive alchy... good luck, once this button is activated, and it gets hairy, they might want stuff like psych evaluations and rehabs just to SEE, I think it depends on what state you are in, im in NY so pretty much they make us do as many stupoid things as possible as an income generating machine, people may argue with that, but not when you KNOW one who is "in that system" already, they want $$$

Is there a book that SHE can read to maybe understand my point of view?
/r/Divorce_Men23/01/26 08:19 PM

Could she be cheating? I mean if so thats a hard one, if not, and just mentally checked out, I say no matter what their is a way back, but BOTH need to try and if she doesnt want to, which seems that way, your best bet is to listen to your attorney and document everything, especially if she tries taking you to the cleaners which sounds like shes mad and will do it if needed

i think mine were part of wanting her out... I hate these cats but I love em, never had a breed like this, strange sisters
/r/Divorce_Men23/01/26 07:31 PM

i can see why you are in this situation I guess, sound to much... like someone who drones on about the "system" yet doesnt move, doesnt really do ANYTHING but complain, get enough of that from the women in my life...

Coming from someone who literally never real made dinner or much else, how did you get by the best in terms of eating? A question been feeling silly to ask, is take out kinda a thing? Its been 2 weeks and im back to staring at the PC in hopes of i dunno what
/r/Divorce_Men21/01/26 08:14 PM

you are a MAN, so be prepared for it to hurt, I guess... but maybe not after a while and yes it sucks but thats what we get for being a MAN and taking care of things, its expected to not stop, they live in BUBBLE.

I been "decorating" the house with small stuff, i been considered the one who does all that anyways, its my only hobby and it can be pricey

same here... no one to REALLY talk to, I cant even complain to any and I guess its because I always thought I looked at her like my only friend but now realizing it I was effing alone, still am.. 45 minutes a week with therapist doesnt cut it

If you seriously need to ask, you have accepted the system, and their is nothing I can say nor will I argue over it, they are WOKE jokes.

i wish i was making it up, its like the most WOKE people in the world, its amazon how bad it really is, equal rights, right , yeah right, we are the auto bad guys simple as that and they would care less if you been abused or not, but hey once again, equal rights right? Nope not in NY.

Drinkers who drink all day or whenever are usally a mess, i come from a family of alchies and I am one myself, have not drank in 12 years never will again, even through all this not ONE tempation as I KNOW it will make it all that much worse. But yeah it DOES matter when its a problem, that shit is poinsonous to any relationship after a whilke even if YOU BOTH have issues with it, never seems to turn out that great, but was it bad?
/r/Divorce_Men20/01/26 07:08 PM

she was my first and i always planned on her being the last one... but if things do not work that way I cant exactly fight it, just have to roll with these shitty punches

I would be MUCH better if I started dating a woman who cared more or saw me for who i am really, not who they want me to be, I want to be what she wants I just dont feel like ever feeling that way again, we got a whiles to go...

You are FREE now

No it doesnt look bad, its who you are, plenty of people who are usually SMART have little to no friends. Also you gotta get under someone to get over them sometimes, I always felt that was the best therapy I could have, not that I am now, still married and just "freshly" separated, shit hurts though badly
/r/Divorce_Men19/01/26 09:43 PM

apparetnly, it seems you have to treat some woman like garbage to get respect sounds messed up but the proof in the pudding is out there.

wait a sec, this was realized AFTER an attorney was involved?? If not then ok I guess, but yeah thats a pretty big chunk to be "missing" especially in your fair share, even as someone "who has it" this is not cheap stuff, we are just seperated and plan on "working it out" and living together again, I dont know if that will work, but I am paying for her apt, 2200 a month on top of our mortgage 2500 a month, I pay the car insurance, I just paid off HER student loans, shes been making twice as much…

Just no common sense woman BS, "I dont have money, but I want to stay in the house" as if its like WTF are you thinking? I dont get it with some situations, including MINE, they think or KNOW they can do without you, then it hits them, unless the got a new man already then they will just repeat the same things they have and most likely it will hopefully, turn out horrible, sorry guys a bit angry today
/r/Divorce_Men19/01/26 05:12 PM
1

another great thing we need to deal with is the PRICE to "be free" is not cheap, makes it impossible sometimes, nice system we live in now.
/r/Divorce_Men19/01/26 05:01 PM

sucks no matter what
/r/Divorce_Men19/01/26 04:55 PM

she is going to take you for quite the ride I think and the cleaners if possible, I would worry about finances and hide stuff IF possible, this dont sound like a clean cut one, this sounds very messy or will be very messy, best of luck
/r/Divorce_Men19/01/26 04:50 PM

yup... im not even there yet and yes, KNOW what you are getting into, may be pricey NOW but down the road you will be glad you did some studying.

i dunno the thought of us just being friends would make me nuts, for me its ALL or NOTHING, I cant do this "hang around" and be in the house alone stuff anymore, its been 2 weeks and she came here, she bought me food and shoveld what I didnt, its like literally i am being left to be alone here in this big house by myself, the one thing I will say, is I have started EATING again normally, i lost 20-25 pounds over the years from the stress of my business and the stress of truly deep down realizing…

im in NY, here is the worst, woke judges and weak appointees, its as if someone just gave a DoorDasher a job, and thats what they do is "be a judge" - the attorneys around here bank on the system being so bad. DONT LIVE IN NY RIGHT NOW
/r/Divorce_Men19/01/26 04:39 PM

what kinda drinking problem? she drinks all day sort of thing?
/r/Divorce_Men19/01/26 04:37 PM

How did you buy her out? Im in the same now, where I was left, and the house is something I want to pay off, but its in both our names, owe 180k, would LOVE to pay it off, but not with her on the note.
/r/Divorce_Men19/01/26 04:31 PM

It's been two weeks. I seem to not be able to enjoy much, BUT, you being over her is huge. I quit drinking 12 years ago, I can honestly say if that was in mix right now, ughhh.. I don't know how you do it
/r/Divorce_Men18/01/26 11:52 PM

look into these mental retreats, not just the once a week 45 minute thing but some daily nightly stuff.
/r/Divorce_Men18/01/26 08:29 PM
1

yeah its a "luxury getaway" from it all i dunno looks nice, to me though, its the people caring not what it looks like, insurance will cover most of it, other than that its 20k with insurance
/r/Divorce_Men18/01/26 08:28 PM
1

yes, yes it does hurt a lot, this shit sucks.
/r/Divorce_Men18/01/26 06:55 PM
2

I have one, I dont find the 45 minutes to be too helpful yet, but, she did recommend a 30 day retreat at a nice facility that takes my insurance, I think THAT is what is needed the most, just get away and focus on yourself for a month.
/r/Divorce_Men18/01/26 03:31 PM
2

Yeah i dont get it when ppl say "buck up" and move on, as if it were that simple, we wouldnt be here right now. this shits hard, especially when a child and a house is involved, especially when you just had your business closed down on you, and your mother left the state, a lot of things in a few months plus a mental breakdown from too much working, but I was able to save - that is my only saving grace right now is that I am somewhat ok financially to take this hit everyone grieves differently i…

As much as I love quiet its too quiet, its debilitating especially after 2 weeks, its most likely the worst part, I put on the Alexas in the house to play something, otherwise its way too much for me.
/r/Divorce_Men18/01/26 03:09 PM

its been getting better already I been eating like a pig, for so long so stressed out I could barely eat, I look like it too, its not how I normally look, but I guess this whole thing has been sucking me dry, i feel horrible about it, I do, i dunno, maybe we will work it out but shes angry at me, and rightfully so i guess, i dont know anymore but i am going on a 30 day retreat soon, i need to just get away

That'll hurt you mean she bounced to hi with another man?? Like cheating?

i dont even KNOW what I would have done if it was her cheating, i dont blame you, its normal to feel this way, it makes me sick they do this, and i know it goes both ways but when you try so damn hard, and they are out galavanting with someone ELSE??? I cant do this living apart crap but staying married??? We have a kid, I just closed my business, been a wreck for months, but she didnt care really, it was "my fault" etc, (hemp industry in NY) it was really good money but i had it "all figured ou…

yup this aint cheap, only been two weeks since she left me, she wants to "work it out and go on dates" again, I am so emotionally drained and physically burnt out from my shop I had

She was cheating on you, no matter what she was not thinking about you and the importance, you are better off away from it.

She said it when we in highschool, but its exactly what is happening, I have issues I know, but she did exactly what she said she would do, she had my kid, she doesnt really care what happens to me, her brother died from an OD 11 years ago, and I know her not being there for him drove her crazy now I feel like she thinks she has a new "chance" to change that, in some fucked up way

U are right. I just dont know where to start, Ive never been alone like this, im getting used to this new reality and its just very strange, but day by day of dwelling, feeling sorry for myself, Im getting better mentally, its been a very long 15 years of feeling this way, its only been 2 weeks since she left, I feel numb a bit still but NOTHING like a I did the first week. Thank you for your words. J

You are right, what am I doing.... she texts she loves me but it is like you said she has me where she wants me and I need to help myself right now, I get it, its probably over, I just cant really get much done but go on the PC, eat right, which I have not done for years, and try to work out, I dunno, feeling lost still, its been 2 weeks, I tried though, I really thought I was But thank you for what you said, its a sad truth I needed to hear. Thank you, I will be trying to reach out to a support…

Talk therapy SUCKS for this, I see it maybe on the side, but talking to my therapist I feel like is a waste I have MY OWN things to mentally work out, shes not helping with anything, makes me just more frustrated she reminds me of a time when it was "OK" in my house!!!

im in NY its freezing out even if I go out i feel like i will just fester and see things that remind me of us, she wants to work it out living in two spots - home and apt, I cant take it anymore, how did you do it? Ive been with her basically for 25 years

I cant do anything Ive been frozen since she left two weeks afo I dont know what to do or think, I just know thankfully in the money dept. we can do this but shes basically living 15 minutes away in her own atp, I staying in the house, I ant take it, I cant even turn the TV on to watch TV I just thnk and fest on impending doom comon, I lost business last Sept I had a mental breakdown over the summer, closed my shop for weeks repopinged only for NYS to come in and literally lock me out I get it, …

I feel as if this is something MANY men are dealing with, I could NOT take being invalidated anymore, I did everything I could money wise it just was not what she wanted, I had to close my business last September and ever since then its like one thing after another, and she wants me to away and get "help" but I dont think she quite realizes what the root cause is. She signed a one year lease, can she get out of it if we can work this out, but the anxiety over money being thrown away is killing m…

Like you the finances are all their, just been invalidated since my daughter was born, she was the breadwinner, then my business did well, I have a few bucks saved in Chase and others, IM paying the mortgage, she makes 120k a year but shes a school teacher and they live in a bubble, we have not been "together" really for so many years, I worked 6 days a week, I did ANYTHING financially I could, my whole life with her its been paycheck to paycheck, I THOUGHT having this financially but its not re…

I can't live without her, I'm 45 years old, we been basically together since highschool. This situation sounds like you wanted to get out and you did, but it's not the same I don't think with most, I feel hopeless, I don't know how you can do that and still do things, I just don't get it and I don't want to get it, I want them back but I am who I am
/r/Divorce_Men13/01/26 06:33 PM
1

How are you now? I'm week one into it and I don't see anyway out, I'm ok money wise but this isn't what I had planned, I feel like she's just doing whatever knowing we have money, I'm back to being mad, good thing actually thank you
/r/Divorce_Men13/01/26 06:28 PM
1

I think maybe JUST maybe, treat them like shit, and it'll work out better? I mean WTF but I don't see any other way with the "women of today" it's as if they must be abused to stay with you... 🤷🏼‍♂️
/r/Divorce_Men13/01/26 06:26 PM

Damn, my wife left but she wants to come back but wants me to get help, and the help is me trying to pay off the house I don't get it, oppositional in the money department but it's like they say, money doesn't buy everything
/r/Divorce_Men13/01/26 06:22 PM

I'm there now... You ever get it straightened out? Either way if you could just maybe reach out, I'm in pain like no other and I don't drink, I don't know how to do this another day
